I think that the reason why my weight was so sparadic yesturday is maybe because I didn't weigh myself at the same time as the previous days!!! I was SOOO excited with they results today! I worked my bt off yesturday!!!

potnoodle~thanks...i should have known, i got a chicken club from mcds but i got it grilled...and didnt eat but a few fries......i did drink alot of coke tho :D I also had a kfc bowl, but that was alllllll i ate all day. oh, and some chips and salsa, but they were low in cals, its like 210 for a whole bottle of salsa, and the chips werent too bad. maybe its water from all the sodium?? i hope so.

Just remember that you can keep the calories low but, they should be good calories too.


One of them starts with a layer of (buttery) mashed potatoes or rice, then sweet corn and bite sized pieces of popcorn (deep fried) chicken, all topped with gravy and a three-cheese blend= 690 calories!
 
I am indeed Chip - and I cannot wait to be under 12 stone. I havent been this kind of weight in twenty years!

LoseWeightN2008 - it sounds like water weight due to the salt content. Make sure that you drink your 2 litres of water a day for the next few days at least. That should help to get rid of it. Joey is right. Calories are only part of the story.

I've decided to buy a new set of scales, so I'll probably have to start my daily weigh-ins again from this weekend. My current scales seems to jump about a lot and I end up having to weigh myself 5 or 6 times until it comes up with a consistant reading. Sometimes the difference can be up to 2kgs (5lbs), which is either a joy or a real shock - depending!!! Anyway, I'm tempted to get one of those body-fat measuring scales. Has anyone had any experience of them?

Yeah I have a body-fat one. I like it. The thing to remember is - it works when you're fully hydrated. So, in the morning (when I usually weigh myself) you tend to be dehydrated. So your fat percentage will be a little high. As long as you're aware of that - it's great to see that going down as well. I started at 26% body fat and am down to 18% after 50 days. So that's great to see. If I drank 2 liters of water and then jumped on it'd probably be even lower... of course then your weight is a bit higher. I just weigh myself after the first trip to the bathroom everyday - and don't worry much about it.
