Weigh Yourself Everyday (or frequently) Club

Hiya....this is the scariest thing ever, but I was wondering if I can join the weigh every day club? It's scary because I know my weight fluctuates a lot, at least from what I've seen. But at the same time, I need to embrace and experiment and see what I can learn from it.

Absolutely - come on in, the water's fine!

Hey Err, sorry to hear about the binge. At this point no need to worry too much about it, no longer term physical impact I am sure. But it is important to do what you have to not to let it happen again. Believe me I know all too well how much easier that is to say than do. What will you do to try and make this a one time thing?
I doubt it'll be a one time thing, my realistic hope is to keep it to a rare occurrence. I suspect physical fatigue was a primary contributor to this particular one, but next time it could just as easily be a personal or professional setback.

Absolutely, as Err says the water is fine! I know I have learned from it. I have had some wild weight gains due to post-operative edema, water weight, posting here and getting advice and support from others has really helped me deal with it.

A rare event is fine, but I know one binge can make the next one easier... Good to see that you have come through it well.

That's great that the water weight came off and you are stable!! Hopefully everything else is going well in terms of recovery?

I constantly fluctuate in weight too, don't worry. But the idea is a net loss month over month.

Hey Whispers, good to see you here, and congrats on the 10+ pound loss. I agree weighing everyday can be good motivation. Just be prepared for the bouncing up and down, its the longer term trend that matters. However I find watching the day to day bouncing educational, really has helped me better understand my weight. Good to see you too Misty and the recovery is going well, off to a slow start but much better now, thanks for asking. I was up a little this morning, but still in the happy range, no complaints.

Yeah, I expect ups and downs. A while back, I had dieted for 25 weeks. Of the 25 weeks, I was either the same or up 7 times. Actually, I was surprised that I weighed the same this morning lol.

Do you guys ever get scared to eat when you're on a roll? I have those days. But I feel I am only delaying the inevitable because if I don't eat then I'm going to only lose water weight and binge later.

I'm that way now especially since I'm starting out AGAIN for the millionth time. I'm afraid if I eat anything then I'll be right back up that 10 pounds that I just lost. I went for a walk about an hour or so ago. I felt like my blood sugar was dropping, but yet I haven't eaten anything yet. I still have calories for the day. It'll get better for me once I'm down like 25 pounds or so.

Hey Misty, I am never scared to eat, always too happy to do it. Though sometimes I have been tempted to eat less than I should, rarely have a problem overcoming that... Hey Whispers, we all have started "AGAIN for the millionth time", just got to work to make this the one that takes. Just bouncing along here.

CW: 113.6lbs
GW end of May: 112lbs

Finally made it to my pre-pandemic weight. I have 8 more lbs to go until my goal weight. I just hope I am burning some fat and it's all just not water weight. Gyms are still closed so I am primarily walking but may get a hike in on Sunday. It is a raining a few days this week.
