Weigh Yourself Everyday (or frequently) Club

Time for a catch-up posting...

I'm still weighing every day and bobbing around at exactly the same place as when I last posted... Its been a busy week and I got a bit sick of saying more of the same... In among it I hit a low weight notching down by a whole quarter of a pound... I've hit that three times but have bobbed up today.

I know that I've been being good to myself lately with odd bags of snacks which have not only wasted calories but sodium...
I guess it is practice for maintenance...

Certainly missing seeing friends at zumba and salsa

Holding at my new high, but I have implemented a bit lower calorie diet and started exercising so am hoping to have things under control soon.
One other thing that makes a huge difference for me (and sorry for the TMI :leaving:), but I find my, err, digestion is responsible for a few pounds' worth of difference at times.
Thanks Bubbles, and of course that is not TMI, it gets talked about here a lot. I know that is partially responsible, so is water, but at 10 lbs I know some of it has too be fat, maybe only half, but some.
Rob I think you've probably gained a little with your reduced exercise, but I doubt the real weight is 10 lbs. I know I'm looking at a 6.6 lb swing in 4 days and that obviously can't all be real/fundamental change.
Thanks Err, and congrats on the new low! I know you are right, but as I just said at this point I have to admit that some of it probably is fat.
If you do purposely go into a deficit again, once you hit your goal weight, I would add 5% to your calorie target each week and gradually build up until you find your maintenance sweet spot. Apparently this method also helps with metabolic recover more than just going straight to your estimated maintenance intake.
Thanks Lingwo, and that is good advice as to trying to find that "sweet spot". I am not sure what a calorie deficit would be for me, according to the myfitnesspal app I use I have been in deficit all along and should have lost, not gained weight over the last month. And that does take exercise into account. I think the reason is probably that my metabolism is still low from the year plus of very low calorie diet and big calorie deficits, probably will take a long time to fully recover from that.

While my weight loss seems good, I have been slacking on strength training these last 10 or so days and it seems to be showing in my stagnating body fat percentage (and declining lean mass). Strength training at home, alone, just doesn't give me the same feelings of accomplishment as seeing the scenery pass by when walking/running/cycling etc.
