ok - I will admit that there was some well timed toilet activity this morning so it will probably go up a little tomorrow
that is just normal day to day fluctuations....

Ok, maybe I belong here now that I am trying to do maintenance. It may help me spot trends. Here is a start.

Congrats on the 3 stone! I like measuring weight in stone, somehow it really feels good to lose one. I learned it here, in the US no one uses them.

I know we all fluctuate but when you hit a new low I think its a good sign you are losing weight. I know a woman who only records her new lows. Not a bad idea, so long as they keep coming.

It will be nice once my time of the month is over, and the bloating goes down!

Minx - you need to focus on the fact that if you are being good then the fat will be going - even if the scale goes up. That scale reward will come in a week or two after your TOM... You are just hovering over that ONEderland milestone... It will be here soon.

Rob - thanks... LOL I am exactly the opposite... I grew up with stones and pounds and always use it - but you do not hang around a forum like this long enough to make over 10,000 postings and not start noticing the milestones like ONEderland and 10 pound boundaries...
You are doing a brilliant job of maintenance... Have you chosen your comfortable range yet? I remember that WW allowed people to plus or minus 3 pounds and Slimming World allowed people to plus or minus 5 pounds...

I am sure you'll be down soon. This is one of the problems of weighing everyday, nobody is down every day, nobody.

No, not really. I was thinking it might be trying to stay in the 150s, but first I have to get there. And I am not sure I need to, over time I think the answer will just emerge. Maybe wishful thinking though. 10,000+ posts, wow, that is impressive.

Rob - you are probably being smart with that... I remember that I picked a number that I liked the sound of (9 stone in my case) and reduced my weight down to that... People then spent the next few years telling me that I had lost too much weight because they could see a lot of my bones... It is difficult to know what a weight looks like until you get there. People that have been big carry a fair amount of loose skin and that has weight to it - so it messes with BMI tables and ideal weight charts. I remember that a body fat meter was more use...

Margret, you make some good points, thanks. I also just kind of picked 160 back when I first started, it was based on what I remember weighing in High School, my lowest Adult weight, nothing else. It was also half of where I was starting, that sounded like a good number at the time. I am kind of surprised that I have ended up near it. I never took the 160 too seriously, for a long time it was just a vague notion of where I should be without much real expectation I would ever get there. I try not to listen to people who have not been overweight and don't really know much about what I should weigh. Folks here are different y'all have a better understanding. Seeing bones is new to me, but I mostly like it. I do of course have the loose skin problem, and it has made sorting out what's fat and what's not a bit of a problem. I had a body fat thing done and I am at 16%, which I think is pretty good, but my BMI is 25.4, still in the "overweight" range, your point exactly. Anyway I am happy to be here struggling now to find a way to comfortably stay here.

Life got busy so it’s been a couple days. But I’m back!

31/07/2020 - 201.4 lb
03/08/2020 - 201.4 lb
04/08/2020 - 201.8 lb

07/08/2020 - 201.0 lb
09/08/2020 - 199.6 lb

And thanks so much for the support, Omega and Rob. You’re both absolutely right that there will always be fluctuations in weight, no matter who you are or what you’re doing. I’ve got a downward trend and I’m happy with it :)

LOL I didn't post yesterday as I was disgusted with my weight although I knew the reason for it...
On Saturday we went for a long drive (got to Carlisle which was really good)
- we had to get lunch while we were out and the only low calorie option was sushi

August

6 - 161 lbs
7 - 162 lbs
8 - 161 lbs
9 - 162 lbs
10 - 161 lbs

Thanks Margaret, and I know you are right on the % body fat thing, but seeing myself as "fit" is still hard. Too many years overweight I guess, I still see myself that way. Honestly I am a bit disappointed ever time I step on the scale and don't see a loss, even now when I know I don't need it...

Did you have the sushi? I like sushi, but have not had it in a long time.
