Weight-Loss Valentines Challenge?

Happy New Year all!!

Starting weight= 284.2 pounds, it sucks, I was 280 pounds before the Holidays, at least it was four pounds less, now I have to lose them again, ugh, icks.

Goal weight= 277 pounds .. I am making my goal more doable.

Week 1: January 1st -284.2 pounds

Week 2: January 8th -286.2 pounds.

had a few binges. And than I got sick from eating. and now I know after going on fitday.com why I am not losing and what I can do to stop the cycle. So I know I will have a loss for the fifteenth, so I dont feel too bad! :)

Week 3: January 15th - 284.4 pounds,

Only 2oz away from two pounds lost, I am so excited, been speed walking, its been beautiful weather. yea!! Gonna keep rocking and the scale is going to go down for sure!!

Week 4: January 24th oops forgot to weigh in on the 22nd - 280.2 pounds YEA, a loss!!

Week 5: January 29th -

Week 6: February 5th - 282.1 pounds, icks, but I went off the wagon and now I am back!!

Week 7: February 12th - 281.1

Week 2: January 8th - 206.8 lbs - yeah! Take that TOM bloating. Still sticking to the food and sort of to the exercise.
Week 3: January 15th - 202.6 lbs - still going in the right direction, thank God.

I was 187 in 2008, and managed to get my weight back down to 160 by Jan 1, 2010. I'm not a tall guy so for me, that was a big accomplishment. My goal this year is to maintain a healthy, lean weight.

Hi all, I'm in! Very excited about this, I started challenges in june/july and never even finished them...the timing on this one is perfect, I'm going away for the weekend after valentines.

and I hope more join. I lose these challenges, where there is so much support for each other, weight loss is hard, but its easier with some encouragment and making great friends on this forum. I am happy I am back... Thanks to everyone who help or did set this up. I am happy you helped, fore this challenge would have gone nowhere with out you ..thanks


looking forward to the next weigh in. I walked longer today than I have in one days in the past three months. My muscles were aching bad, but I am happy I finally did it. Now on to tomorrow and a healthy dinner!

so how is everyone else feeling about the challenge?
Weigh in day is coming up soon....Even a few oz would make me happy, breaking 275 at the end of this challenge would really make my happy. What about all of you?

Yea... Join.... the more the merrier.

I would be happy if you did. I love large weight loss groups supporting each other in the weight loss challenge. And weight loss is a challenge, for me anyhow and I am sure for many other people.

Finally entering my info. I'm very disappointed with myself currently and why my wt has returned. Life has just been so hectic and I've lost focus on myself. The last challenge I actually finished was 5/09 and I was 141.5......and this challenge should help me refocus.

Hey, I noticed something you said, that got me thinking. Umm I know you got down to 141.5 pounds and you may be putting yourself down. I have been doing the same thing, but I am starting to get more positive with the help of this forum and other interelationships in my community. But you may not want to focus on the bad, like you used to gain such and such a wait from your last challenge, but now you are bigger, you may want to be in the now and think, I will get myself back to 141.5 pounds, because I am strong and if I did it before, I can do it again! I know, like I should be talking oh so mighty, but that way of thinking, the negative, may keep you away from your goal, or self sabotage ...

Hi!! I'd also like to join this challenge, if I could! I'm motivated to lose 10 pounds by Valentine's Day. This challenge is the perfect motivational tool. I actually started 'my diet' on Sunday .. so I have my weight info from the 3rd. Good luck to you all! ;)

That week is also my birthday so I was aiming for around then anyway.

I wanted to lose a stone by then... am hoping it's not too unrealistic, but if I'm a lb or two off I'll still be happy with that!

I've lost 1.8lbs of the stone already however, so I'll be looking at just over 12lbs for this challenge. :)
 
Ah this may be a great way to start for me! so count me in :) I'm a little unsure about my goal weight since I'm JUST starting out so I'm going to pick 15 lbs and call it realistic today... we will find out exactly how realistic it is on Feb 14th lol glglgl everyone!
