Trying to get in better shape by mid December!

No comment from me, as chinese food and pizza is exactly what I had for dinner on Saturday and Sunday nights respectively this past weekend.

So exhausted yesterday I totally forgot I had numbers for you all! My Monday weigh and measure! For the record, I got one of those brand new accurate self-measuring tapes, to ensure I'm not pulling tight in my over-zealous desire to see results :p Haha. Its a pretty nifty tool. Anyway, the numbers:

Weight: 156.4 lbs
Fat: 34.9%
Muscle:26.6%

So pounds keep dropping *dances* I rock! Again I would like to point out that the fat percentage is no way correct (I mean anyone who has seen my pictures, or who even can figure based on my height and weight, has to know I'm probably not 34% fat) but watching it go down is still nice ;) Even incorrect information can be useful for watching trends right? And the muscle number has remained more or less consistent. These numbers, actually, should be calculated out to be of real use. So later today I'm going to do that (actually go see what x% of my weight at that time is and see how many pounds of me was fat at that time) because a percent changing doesn't mean a heck of a lot if the total the percent is taken out of is changing too right? Too confusing. ANYWAY. Enough math. Measurements!

Bust: 35in
Waist: 28.5in
Hips: 40in
Thigh:23.5in
Arm:11in

So a little bit down here and there, mostly about the same. Finally shrinking down those thighs. My bust going down I would think is some of my back fat going away (the depo provera made me gain odd back fat, which I never had before that... it was really weird to me) as my cup size remains unchanged :p So anyway, good week. Applause for me.

Damn 5'-11" with 40" hips!! I'm thinking that sounds pretty tasty.

Anyway keep up the good work. You're making awesome progress.

do you work out with weights at all?

I do indeed, some of my workouts (like the Jackie Warner workout video and one of the classes I did at the gym yesterday) use 5-10lb hand weights or medicine balls, things like that. I also have my home gym that I do reps on from time to time (I know I've been told to do free-weight work instead but I'm not there yet :p)

Food: Three scrambled eggs with cheese, greek yogurt, oatmeal, lowfat ice cream cone, tea with soymilk

Exercise: hour of walking. I took it easy today because yesterday's workout hit me like a ton of bricks when I got out of bed this morning - I wasn't sore at all yesterday, its funny, but I sure felt it today! o_O Ouch.

Today's feedings: Zone bar, chicken and lettuce sandwich, fish filet with peas, oatmeal cookie (mmmm)

Exercise: Hour of walking, Curves circuit, half hour of Bosu

Still pretty sore from Monday but the walking helped loosen me up enough to get the circuit and the Bosu stuff done :) My once skin-tight yoga pants are starting to swish around me slightly as I move and my inner thighs don't rub against each other so much when I walk anymore.... :D It's neat to feel these tiny differences.

Forgot to post yesterday! Wah! So yesterday:

Food: Greek yogurt with honey, quesadilla, Riblets (Applebees. Mmmm.)

Exercise: Hour of walking, power shoe shopping! :D

Ok, not a great day, but a girls gotta have her shoe shopping and lunch with friends sometimes! I can't slave away all day every day. Whats a girly figure if I can't show it off at the mall? Haha.

Food: Banana, chicken salad wrap, macaroni

Exercise: Curves circuit

I warn you all I will be cranky for the next week or so, as the army decided to be uncool and change my fiance's scheduled phone time from Sunday to today, causing me to miss his weekly phone call because I wasn't expecting it and therefore was not glued to my cell phone. So now I don't get to talk to him until next week. I am not a happy panda. :( I'm going to go cry and listen to sad music (yes, girls really do that when we're lonely sometimes!). Sigh.

Food: 3 egg omlette with cheddar, veggies (snow pea, potato, red pepper medley)

Exercise: One hour Jackie Warner video using 5 pound hand weights, hour of walking

I feel like I ate something else today but I just don't remember... I did wake up late, so the omlette is kind of my "brunch" as it were, but still, I feel like there was more food that that today. Hm. Oh well. Oh! And my fiance got to use his phone again today for a bit so I got to talk to him. Cranky-crisis averted and all is well! Yay :)

Food: Oatmeal, Banana, Chicken salad wrap, chicken wings and fries (friend came over, I can't say no haha)

Exercise: Hour of walking on hilly terrain, the dog was extra bouncy today (and when a german shepherd bounces, stuff gets broken).

Hey there Red, are you doing any running sessions in your program?

I'd been planning to run with the school's running club, but that fell through for multiple reasons (won't bore you with a paragraph) but right now I'm getting in some work on things like ellipticals/stairsteppers and the like at least once a week (on Monday's when you see the cardio class at the gym in the journal) and sometimes I'll latch on running with my room mate. I've been meaning to run but with the recent high crime alerts on campus I've been very cautious about running by myself and I have no running buddy. Alas. I'm going to try and run more though now that things seem to be settling down.

I'm sure you'll find someone to run with you.I always try to run at places that are not secluded, cause i don't like running in the dark alone as well. How about treadmill running?

Something about the impact of a treadmill has always kind of bothered my back since I had a severe lower spine injury about a year ago. Normal running (if I'm careful and listen to my body cues), ellipticals, and stairmasters don't bother it. Treadmills and some weird thing called an arc machine (I think?) seem to though.

Sorry to hear that Red, i didn't know. But you are doing a lot better than i do at the moment, i pulled my right tricep and my ankle is still bothering me so i'm feeling a bit useless now:D

Food: Zone bar, greek yogurt, chicken salad wrap, veggies, a piece of dark chocolate

Exercise: power cleaning of the house (inteeeeense), some crunches and leg lifts

Monday weigh and measure:

Weight: 155.8lbs
Fat: 34.9%
Muscle: 26.5%

Bust: 34.5in
Waist: 29in
Hips: 40in
Thigh: 23.5
Arm: 11in

So weight down, everything else mostly the same. Bust measurement down because of the back-fat going down (again, the depo made me gain that annoying back fat) but somehow my waist went up. Of course, since the pounds are still down, I'm inclined to think that could just be bloating; lets face it, my diet the past week-ish has not been the best.

Treadmills are the devil's cardio machine anyway. ABOMINATION.

I wouldn't worry about the "stomach" measurement. They tend to vary wildly (relatively speaking), particularly if you're taking them yourself, and particularly if you're not really practiced at it.

That's why I love my "accurate" measuring device :D You wrap it around, click it in to place, and hold down the button. It tightens gently and takes an accurate reading without allowing you to "cheat" by tugging too much and stuff haha. It's really helped me with my self measurements ;)

Are you talking about Myotape? Because you could've just said so. Also, that's not where the error lies. It's in where you wrap it around.

For ****'s sake, woman, just take the comforting and like it. This is why we can't have nice things!
