The time has come

sigh, well the showings ran late last night and my wife had other plans for me.

today i'm a little down about missing a workout and no offers on the house. but we're supposed to be going to the gym after work today.

if not, it looks like i'll be doing walking lunges upstairs :)

hang in there, the offers will come! The news already reported that the economy is getting better!

And you find/make the time to do your workouts young man! It will keep your spirits up :D

In a much better mood today. Wouldn't you know it 10 minutes before I got off work we got a call about a late showing.

So I couldn't go home. No gym bag, and my gym is douchy you can't do any workouts in any kind of jeans/jean shorts. So I walked around the track at the park while we waited...and waited...and waited.

At least my wife made it to the gym before they called. I think I'm just gonna have to go over my lunch hour instead since this 'after work' thing clearly isn't working out.

I found I have a greater weakness than video games...my wife shaking her rump at me.

So I did get some...uh...cardio in last night :)

Another showing today, over my lunch hour. Someone needs to buy my damn house! I'm much too anxious about it :(

I have good news! We've got a closing date set on our house!

Well, I have no excuses left, now do I? Sure I have to house hunt, and start packing, but both of those are better than sitting on my ass at the computer.

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS!!! :party2:

See, took no time at all! Now hit those weights!!!! :D

Well one house we looked at yesterday has a great rec room area. perfect for weights, room for a yoga mat, and some kinda cardio equipment. plus a wall for a flat screen mounting.
if yer gonna watch tv you may as well be cycling, right?

not sure what i'm up to tonight for exercise...but it'll be something!

just get in and get it done. Even if you're tired and not feeling up for it, the body is great at mobilizing resources once the activity starts!

I'm happy to say I did get it done last night. Went directly to my home gym after work and did chest, shoulders and triceps.
Tonight I can't decide between back & biceps, or legs. I think I better do back/biceps simply because tomorrow we are looking at new houses until we settle on one...lots of walking, climbing in and out of a car, leg DOMS would suck.

I am one of your greatest fans, but a tough one in your corner, with a ball bat in the ready friggen' position.

I thought you were tough, Malkore. Indecisiveness can be a critical killer--especially with one........that KNOWS what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

What I see here, is a: "failure to communicate".

Communicating effectively.

Too many excuses in you can't do something, rather than reasons why you can do something, and make it "fit".

BAP!..........Malkore decides he is going to train, and not sissy out.

Worrying about DOMS.........Yes, you should be concerned:

D
eath-like Obedience is Malkore's Spirit.

You got that? My friend..........

The Time Has Come............an appropriate title.

Shall this time remain consistent?

In Malkore's world, like the average person, we have choices. Nothing out of the ordinary nor special here.

Lock a person in a room without elective choices, where they receive nothing but the dietary contents and equipment needed for their goal, and what outcome related to this goal do you get?

Self evident isn't it?

The problem is that we are locked in a imaginary room filled with choices, and sometimes one imprisons and enslaves themselves to the context of these choices, and think being locked in a prison without conflicting choices are worse.

We are in a prison either way. You change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change. Imprison your mind, and you imprison yourself.

There are always ways to schedule time for your fitness activities. You are going to be "required" to convince yourself you can make time to do this, or you are done, stick a fork in it. Its over. You are in charge of the outcome. No question about it. No one will care "enough" more than you when you want something.

You are the "ultimate adapting master" of changing circumstances within your lifestyle, to fit in what is important to you, Malkore. You have to be. Do you have a choice?

I like my professional position within my job, but there are times I certainly do not feel like going sometimes. But, I do, cause I have monetary needs and my family depends on me. We take our bodies for granted, but it is the only one that sees us though or fails us in the forthcoming years. WE only have one. Why do we not give the same responsibility to our health and fitness, as we do our own employment and other enjoyment?

A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them; why wait until the body screams at you and its too late?

Mal......work a schedule in, with what you have going on. You are half-a$$ing this thing.

Best wishes for your continued success,

Chillen

I know i'm still half-assing it. You try selling a house, buying a house, work 40 hours a week, plus part-time at a tattoo shop...all the while breaking your ties from an onlien game that has a deathgrip on your soul...

But good news, not only is our house closing on Sept 18, but we are closing on our new house Sept 10!!!

Now I can have a real gym setup at home, and one of those 24 hour unattended gyms is like a mile up the street from the new house, between home and work.
I may be half assed still, but I'm setting up the potential for hardcore changes.

Rome was not built in a day.

Yes, all this activity, and still have time for a video game. It takes priority over your body, and when the chips rock down on you, and your health falters, you would give anything to have the contrary circumstance. It will hurt, when you (at one time) had control to cause intervention, but didn't. It taking precedent over the very soul that carries you through this one-shot-at-life, reality. The video game means nothing. Your body is everything.

Right now, go where you have this video game, and toss it in the trash without even thinking about it. Or burn it. Who cares what it cost. The cost of you is priceless.

Best wishes,

I am being tough on you, cause you have the abilities and you KNOW what is right. You KNOW what it takes. And, you have what it takes.

Yada, yada. Let me get a violin. Let me give you a tissue. This isn't a situation where one needs a soft shoulder to cry on.

I have been extremely busy at times to. This isn't an exception now days, its the general rule with persons with with ambition, and responsibilities.

Are you special or something? :angry3: :mrright:

This video game doesn't earn you money (and it burns so little calories moving your eyeballs around the screen, and hand/fingers around), rather its using time sitting on your arse, when it could be better spent improving your health, well-being, and personal goals.

Malkore..........>The more you sit on your arse playing video games, the weaker you get, cause it doesn't improve strength and muscle much, nor improve the disposition of your fat tissue.

Do not end up like this:
