The Tattooed Lady

Oh yes it was. Doesn't take long to make at all either so maybe you should try it one day when dearheart is at work and see what you think.

Either I ate too much of supper or it was the spices after all. This morning I feel much better. The plan is to eat some today but I won't eat as much and see how I feel again. Yesterday the kitchen was a mess so I picked the quickest and easiest breakfast, but today will be back to oatmeal. Today at school the kids go to the firestation. Not sure if we are walking yet but if it rains they will ride the bus. The plan is for me to go with them so need to eat lots of good stuff to sustain me if we walk.

Lost another 2 pounds or close to it which means I lost all the weight I gained back...:D

Last night I ended up having 2 rolls and a glass of milk though I didn't put it in fitday. I had a sweet craving so I thought what I had would have been better than what I could have had. I also had 6 bites of pizza and 3 onion rings during the day yesterday, so fitday will be wrong, but gotta account for everything I eat.

I didnt see this post, way to go!

The sun is shining and it's beautiful outside. The temp is 72 degrees so it looks like right now we are walking to the firestation, but it's on 11:15a so things can change between now and 12:10. I had a smaller bowl of the broccoli/sausage simmer and a glass of milk, so hopefully that will hold me over until I get home and it doesn't make my stomach upset.

As of right now, the temp is 81 degrees. I had my walking for the day but Greene wants to go skating, so there goes more exercise...

Skated for about 45 minutes and had 2 pieces of homemade pizza (cheese and meat) for supper w/water. I caved and had 1/2 of Ash's nachos and cheese. It really wasn't the healthiest but when all you have to pick from is fried stuff..that was the best option. Would have been better w/out the nachos and cheese, but such is life.

I have to vent!! I officially hate the scale... It needs to be thrown out the window and let the big boys on the road play with it, but I know you can't go by the numbers. I like to judge by my clothes, but in the back of my mind, I can't help but to go by the numbers...:( I admit that last night wasn't the greatest food and I don't do enough (actually any) weights but I get exercise, so why is it that I've gained about 2 pounds....      I swear I'm not going to look at scale until Saturday.

Just from what I see, and how I know my body reacts - its seems like between the sausage, pizza, and nachos thats alot of salt. And you said it yourself, you ate poorly. Let this set back turn into more strength for you. Plus stay away from that scale-it was sooo hard this morning for me not to weigh myself either, but I can see my clothes are fitting well :D Hope I helped I usually don't give much advice!

I'd not worry too too much about your weigh in. It could be anything - you could be recovering from the naughty food you ate, or could be retaining more liquids that day. If your clothes are fitting ok, I'd suggest taking this as a hint to watch your eating a bit more. Yes, you work out, but you can take in FAR more calories than you could ever burn off. You're on the right path, just at a rest stop along the way.

Yes, this is indeed a change - spoken by someone who's had some success and wants to share the wealth. This is a good thing. :)

Thanks I needed that. Just little set back and I freak. Part of human nature I guess. I see all these women who wear size 2 and it makes me so mad because they have the body that I would love to have. I understand it's based on genetics and body types, so I might never see a size 2 but would love to get out of the double digits and see a single digit for once in my lifetime. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I got down to a size 14 since that was the size I wore when I was in high school. Funny thing is I don't remember weighing this much when I was a 14 before, but it's possible I was or it's just me getting older. Another thing is when you get closer to your goal and those last few pounds you have to lose, it gets harder. Just wondering since I'm 6 pounds shy of my goal maybe that has some part to do with it. By all means when I see 170, hopefully that I won't stop at that weight, but if that's the way it's to be, then so be it.

I disagree - it's up to YOU where you want to be. If you want to be that single digit size you work for it. I think the following quote would apply - be the change you want to see in the world.

Its funny I thought the same thing! People say they're big boned and stuff, but thats not true at all! The amount you weigh can look diffrent from person to person, and even clothing sizes are all screwed up these days - I can be an 8 in this brand, and a 12 in another ya know! Its about how you feel, and what you see.

Well again thanks and yes you two make valid points. No I don't want to stop at 170. I want to lose as much as I can, but if for some reason I can't get below 170, then I'll be happy with that. Yes it's true about the difference in brands. Some 14's fit just right and some are too tight, but I still buy the size because that's the size that fits and if the pair of jeans are too tight, it'll give me the incentive to lose the weight.

Worked at school yesterday and today because I'll be busy tomorrow hopefully mowing. Helping out M&D landlord anyway I can. Went over in cals but I've been more hungry lately. Not sure why but now I have to be careful with my decisions. Last night it was a protein bar instead of a doughnut...:D
