The Tattooed Lady

I had a blonde moment  I thought I was doing 32 pounds on my Lat Pull Down, but actually it was 27. OMG, I can't read the numbers. The back problem I'm having is actually between my shoulder blades (like when I'm raising my arms to hang or take down laundry). You know where I'm talking about, so I'm kindof glad I used the lower amount of weight.

Yeah you have to be careful, esp with your back muscles as those problems don't go away any time soon, if ever.

Very true. Don't want to put myself out of commission for awhile.

Since Ash and I are going to the park today, I did some window shopping with salad calories from McDonalds, Wendy's, Dairy Queen and Burger King. I wanted a caesar salad w/chicken, but of course that's optional. This is what I found out:

Wendy's
Caesar Chicken Salad - 180
Croutons - 70
Honey Mustard Dressing - 120
Total - 370

McDonald's
Caesar Salad - 220
Croutons - 60
Caesar dressing - 190
Total - 470

If I want it w/out the chicken
Caesar Salad - 90
Croutons - 60
Caesar dressing - 190
Total - 340

Dairy Queen
Chicken Salad - 240
Dressing - 260
Total - 500

Burger King
Caesar Salad - 220
Dressing (don't remember what kind) - 210
Toast - 70
Total - 500

I would want the chicken on it because of the protein advantage, but it ups the calories. Right now I'm sitting at 620, so I think I would choose the Wendy's salad, because I would be sitting at 990. I could easily cook a supper and a snack that would equal 1500. Plus I'll be at the park walking around, so hopefully I'd burn some of those calories from lunch. Well it sounds good in my twisted way of thinking. :D

Well, you could save on calories by taking off the croutons (around 300 now), and limiting your dressing to half, or choosing something like a vinaigrette, which would probably put you at around 70 or so for the dressing. Then you'd be about 240, which should be within your meal plan as far as calories go.

Actually, I would be at 320 for the salad and italian vinaigrette.

Ceasar Salad - 180
Italian Vinaigrette - 140

That's looking better. Only problem is that I've never had that kind of dressing, so it'll be the first time, but I'm up for a new thing. I think I'll go with that.

Thanks Stingo. :D

Hmm I'm cheap lol - I'd not spent 140 cals on dressing... there's gotta be a healthier/lighter alternative... of course, that's assuming you use ALL of the dressing...

Ok..how about this..lol

Ceasar Salad - 180
Fat Free Ranch - 80
Total - 260

Is this better? lol Think I'll go w/this one.

Had a good time at the park w/Ash. We both were swinging and having a good time. We walked around and she played on everything she saw. Lunch was good and thanks to Stingo helping me out w/my calories, I was able to have a cheat dessert, ff ice cream w/only 100 calories.Turns out chicken caeser salad is good w/ff french dressing. I didn't mind not having the croutons. I gave them to Ash since she likes them.

*Thanks again Stingo honey*

Last night I was so tired when I went to bed, so here's what I ate.

Preworkout - 2 scoops whey(100), milk(60) = 160

Postworkout - 2 eggs(150), 1/3 cheese(110) = 260

Lunch - chx ceaser salad(180), ff french dressing(80) = 160

Snack - .5 ff carmel pecan ice cream = 100

Supper - 1/2 whole wheat pita(100), .5 chx salad(198), corn cob(100), tbsp butter(30) = 428

Total = 1108

Little low, but we sat around the fire last night and I went to bed at 9:30. Now wonder while I'm starving this morning.

Guess I need more exercise or something or maybe just not looking at the scale but once a week.

She I think you run the risk of starvation mode at this point. Your cals usually seem kind of boarderline to me anyway but lately they've been dropping a little. I'd hate for your body to hang onto what you give it because your plan starts backfiring on you, despite your best intentions :( Just be sure you don't dip much lower than 1500 too regularly, even maybe try and go up slightly every now and then. The body likes to keep guessing. Just IMO. :) I'm glad you had a great day with Ash at the park! That sounds like a good idea :D

I'm trying to stay around 1500, but yesterday was just one of those days where I was off. Hopefully today I can get back on track.

Just got back from swimming. The water was little cold, but all in all had a good time.

Calorie wise, if I don't start eating, I won't make 1500. I'll be amazed if I can make 1200. I'm not trying to do this to myself on purpose, but I just haven't been hungry. It's already 3:28p and I haven't had lunch plus I've only had 335 calories so far . I'm hungry, so I'll eat something. Not sure what to have for supper, but I'll figure out something when it's time.

I get that way all the time so I know how you feel. I have to literally go by the clock and make myself eat when its time, even if I don't feel like it. making sure I'm always prepared in any situation, even if I'm out and about or with someone during my meal times. Its not been the most fun ride but its finally getting better. This morning I was at the park with my kids and I realized I forgot my snack the minute we got to the park. We left at 9 and I normally try to have a snack around 10 so I couldn't just say "ok kids, its been an hour, lets go home". It had been way too short so I had to tough it out. I thought I was going to pass out from feeling so funky, hungry and weak! lol. I mean its only a SNACK its not like I hadn't even eaten breakfast, I HAD and at 8am! but I was STARVED. I had to laugh at myself and look back and realize I used to go for 5-6 hours without eating and that was just standard back when I hardly ate but 600 cals. crazy. I guess all I'm saying is that it is hard to get those cals in if you aren't concious of it. at least it is for me. Good job on the swim. sounds very refreshing. I'm contemplating a jaunt to the pool myself.

I could start eating every 2 hours. I hope this is just a now and then thing and this doesn't happen all the time. If it is, I'm in trouble. Part of me feels like if I eat every 2 hrs then I'm a pig, but I just have to make sure what I eat is healthy. Next time I should eat is around 6:00. I already had pretzles, but I could live on those. I have fruit, cottage cheese, homemade pita chips. I can also make it if I don't have it.

well you don't have to if thats uncomfortable. I start my day with breakfast around 7:30 then I have a snack at 10 or 10:30, lunch is 12:30 or 1, snack is 3 and dinner is 6. If I was smart I'd get up just a little earlier so I don't feel like I'm cramming them in for half the day. by the time my second snack comes I'm finally on a 3 hour schedule which is ideal. Its tricky to fit in working out to me since I do it in the morning after I drop kids at school. it really invades that midmorning snack session and then lunch is right around the corner. I'm still trying to figure that out. Another option is making your meals bigger so then you only need 4 of them: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner..or something like that. Doing each at 400 cals it would be perfect. Seems like 300 is a good sized meal for me 400 makes me not hungry for the next at all. I also have tried to be more nutrient dense. Like today. Not hungry for snack so I had 30 raw almonds and half a cup of cottage cheese. Thats not a lot of food but its 300 cals. you could just be HOT. I know when I was hot and tired of that heat I was never ever hungry and I even posted that. I was very uninterested in food. drinking more water might help too. speeds things along. just some thoughts from one struggler to another :)
