Weight-Loss The May Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
So Jess, how's the day going? You fired us all up earlier.

It hasn't been a great day, but it hasn't been a total waste either.

I had a banana and a tortilla for breakfast... odd i know.

I had a chicken breast and mashed potatos for lunch.

Haven't figured out dinner quite yet.

Started my workout earlier but almost passed out. Maybe if I feel up to it after dinner I will finish it. Actually, as long as I feel up to it I WILL do it.

I've not been reaching my calories the past few days... so I need to work on eating enough. But at least i know what i need to work on.

I'm nothing if not a motivator....

I can usually get other people up and running... its myself that I have to keep an eye on!

Yeah, there was some post about making vegetables or something. I skip the oil and make an egg wash. (egg whites and water). I brush the cut up sweet potatoes with the egg wash and then shake on the Cajun seasoning. Yup, it's spicy, I like it spicy, so the kids aren't too crazy about it, but if I'm making it for me and for them, I only spice up half the tray.

OK, Trops, this was good! I made a whole bunch of it (so I'd have some for lunch tomorrow.) It turned out a lot better than I imagined it would - and it wasn't even as spicy as I'd thought it would be. (I wasn't too keen on the slimy egg whites getting on me, but it turned out to be well worth the gross goo, lol) Thanks so much for this recipe! :D

I mentioned earlier in my journal that I planned to have one thing for dinner then ended up making something totally different: Creamy cheese rotini with garlic. It was sooooo good! Here's the recipe for anyone that is interested: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/recipes/22096-creamy-cheese-rotini-w-garlic.html#post448343

Thought I'd share

I've had a good morning so far. Got up to another low on the scale. It was jumping around, but basically it is reading 215. :hurray: I had some breakfast and got the kids off to school. Then I'm supposed to meet a friend to do some mountain biking. He's brand new at it, just got his bike last week. I told him I'd show him the trail. I figured that he'd be a bit slow, so I went early and did the full loop fast. Then he pulled up just as I finished. Then I did the main loop (the easy parts only) with him. He was quite a bit slower and had to rest a couple times, but I still had fun. He kept apologizing for slowing me down, but for me it was just for fun.

I had a couple pears as a snack and came home. I jumped on the scale, just out of curiosity. 214. That makes me happy. I'm not really hungry, but I'm going to try to get some good food before work. Then I won't be starving tonight.

Hope everyone is having a good day.
:waving:

Yay Trops!

There are the things I like to see and hear!

I had oatmeal for breakfast, did a 60 minute workout DVD, and had a south beach diet pizza for lunch.

Now I'm going to work on getting things organized from my move, since i have one final load to bring down next week. Ugh! I hate cleaning and organizing... blah!

I'm having a good day though, so here goes nothin'!

Just wanted to share. I got a new low today of 213.4. I'm very happy about it.
