October 15th, 2007: Thoughts for the day

“The brain is a commodity used to fertilize ideas.”

Begin challenging your own assumptions. Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in awhile, or the light won't come in.

(Alan Alda)

No matter where you go or what you do, you live your entire life within the confines of your head.

“Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.”

It's when things get rough and you don't quit that success comes.

==========================================================

Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long. Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals. No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders. How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come.

(Og Mandino quotes (American Essayist and Psychologist, 1923-1996)

==========================================================
If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.

If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.

How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and to do what really matters most

The feeling of being "compfortable or uncompfortable" has no margin of play. I dont post things based on these types of feelings. As I stated in the post you quoted, I plan to to post it....

October 16th, 2007: Morning thoughts......

Good Morning everyone.

Hope your day goes extremely well.......

==========================================================

The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn't, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there. ~

I wish all of you the best today..........

Take a look at this one. This one makes the other look lean in comparison.

This one's been deadlifting a lot of eggs!

And now a quote for the chillout log:

LOL!.......

I think the Chick needs to modify the caloric content....the Muscle v fat ratio is a bit off.....

I am concerned.......

that the weight just may "crack" the chicks before they hatch......

Good morning everyone........

Hope everyone stays happy today.........

No sadness or bad things are gonna happen today......I KNOW IT!

KEEP ROCKEN.......keep the head screwed on correctly........

Stay upbeat.......stay positive.........

and most importantly,

ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My day is off to a good start, you're right. My english class got cancelled, so I went to the library so I could check the forum.

Yeah, that's one of the fattest chickens I have ever seen!

Holy smokes, 323 situps and 21 pull ups. That's quite good. lol.

Every once in a while, I get down to see how many I can do, but I dont train for endurance on the torso. But, I knew from the last time I checked (about two months ago), that I would do well in the situp endurance test at the academy. I could have done more.

Additionally, I train with pullups/chinups/dips in between sets (I call this freeform) of certain exercises in my routine. This helped with the endurance and strength part of the PT Test.

I did make a mistake. Using the bike for my cardio. I hate running, honestly, and I just need to get over it. This dislike and doing the bike cardio severely hurt me on the run. I learned from it though.
