Hope everything is well with you, Chillen.

Agreed!

Congrats Wojo, I need to beat my own milestone right now which is about 3 months :yelrotflmao:

What's your secret for keeping it up? :)

Thanks! I'm not really sure what's different this time, or maybe it's not just one thing. The big thing, I think, is that I got fed up with all of my back problems. Working out regularly has rid me of that monkey (pun intended), and the thought of going back to regular back issues is strong motivation to keep going. I'm healthier than I've been in years.

I'll also admit that I'm a bit vain. I like how I look with a firmer and trimmer body, I like the positive comments from friends and family, and I really don't want to go back to being that fat dude I see in older family pictures. ;)

Last posting by Chillen, not just here but anywhere on the boards, was a month ago. Sure hope all is OK.

I thought I'd pitch in and post a few self-development and motivational quotes on behalf of Chillmeister...hope you don't mind Chillen ;)

I take no credit for these...here you go:

  • If you must prepare for them you are weak. You are strong when they must prepare for you.
  • There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
  • If in the last few years you haven't discarded a major opinion or acquired a new one, check your pulse. You may be dead. ~Gelett Burgess
  • One may understand the cosmos, but never the ego; the self is more distant than any star. ~G.K. Chesterton, "The Logic of Elfland," Orthodoxy, 1908
  • To the question of your life you are the answer, and to the problems of your life you are the solution. ~Joe Cordare
  • Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves. ~Henry David Thoreau
  • Resolve to be thyself; and know that he who finds himself, loses his misery.
  • To dare to live alone is the rarest courage; since there are many who had rather meet their bitterest enemy in the field, than their own hearts in their closet. ~Charles Caleb Colton, Lacon, 1825
  • He who knows others is learned;
  • He who knows himself is wise.
  • ~Lao-tzu, Tao te Ching
  • You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one. ~James A. Froude

  • If you're not a rebel by the age of twenty, you've got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by thirty, you've got no brains. ~Swimming with Sharks, 1994, written & directed by George Huang, spoken by the character Buddy Ackerman played by Kevin Spacey

  • The contemplative life is often miserable. One must act more, think less, and not watch oneself live. ~Nicolas Chamfort
  • The simplest questions are the most profound. Where were you born? Where is your home? Where are you going? What are you doing? Think about these once in a while and watch your answers change. ~Richard Bach
  • Man can starve from a lack of self-realization as much as... from a lack of bread. ~Richard Wright, Native Son, 1940

Hope all is well with you, Chillen.

Good day everyone.

What's up big Chill? You get kinda bored of the forum like me? Ya it happens from time to time...

With work and lifting who has time to come here and post all their workouts and response to threads? I haven't had it lately anyway.

For several weeks, I have been working on some restructuring of some of my owners major businesses, and have been extremely busy with very little time but to train, keep diet according to my goal perimeters, and sleep (and repeat).

Just finished up the marketing campaign, revision of human resources, and employee incentive programs, yesterday. Hope to get to a certain whelm of normalcy this week, lol.

Partnership proposals went very well. Added another 26 business to the 30 we already have. In addition, I added 35 KU Departments. I saved a reduction in work force, and in the process added 3 new employee positions.

Though I have been extremely busy, training was completed on my personal set schedule without missing any workouts, and diet was strictly kept in accordance to the goal at the time; I finished my personal goal process on Saturday.

A Personal Goal Update:

I am averaging about 169/170 pounds. On Monday, I had DEXA Scan, and I am sitting at 8.2% BF. This is an increase of approximately 8 net pounds over the passed approximately 10 months, not bad for an old man that will be 48 in August.

I plan to post new pics this coming weekend so the ones that are interested can see the results of the past 10 months, which are good.

I have to sit down and think about what to do next. Currently, I am not going to go any lower in BF, as recommended by my physician/nutritionist/trainer, friend (not my trainer, just a personal friend, adviser at times).

Hey Chillen come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now haha where r u man??????????????????????????

Jackie xxxx :)

Good to see you Jackie! How have you been? See above, I have been extremely busy the past few weeks.

I was working on a 6 figure marketing program that I had to create from the bottom up, and from scratch. In addition, we did some restructuring of employee programs, incentives, and other sales venues, of which I have been designated the sole proprietor, creator, and responsible for development of the team in certain program segments. I just finished this up, with good success.

I thought I'd pitch in and post a few self-development and motivational quotes on behalf of Chillmeister...hope you don't mind Chillen ;)

Of course I don't mind. I sincerely appreciate the thought, Eric.

Everything is cool, Wojo. Just been busy.

I appreciate everyone's input on the thoughts for the day.

I have a second party to attend tonight to celebrate our project success. Look forward to unwinding a bit.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Stay happy, and........ROCK ON!

Put a smile on someones face today.

Best regards,

Chillen

Congrats on finishing the project. :)

Wes........is the bessssssssst!

Thanks man......It is a relief its over. 10 hour plus days, topped off with training too. No rest for the desirable and "want-it", baby.

Happiness to you, Wes.

Have a good day at work........sweetie......LOL......:):)

Best regards,

Chillen

;)

It brings joy to my heart you found a good woman, Wes. I hope things work out.

Its "Best-Shape" Isn't? Wish you the best. I have had a good woman by my side for more than 25 years, I hope you can feel this unique experience one day.

Off to train Lower Today. I am a little sore from yesterdays Upper-circuit. I added in some new exercises, and periodization ranges into my revolving window of time.

Wait until you see the new pics: :) Ripped......and good placement of the added approximate 8 pounds.

I am going to PM you 2morrow, I have a couple of things to explain to you.

Again, best of luck, young man. :)

Best regards,

Chillen

170lbs around 8% body fat is a hell of an accomplishment, regardless of age. Congrats Chillen, it's good to know the hard work is paying up.

Thanks, boss man. :) I appreciate the time you have taken to comment.

This one was the toughest as compared to the two previous goal attempts. I started my leaning down period a couple of months back, just prior to being handed a volcano project at work.

I had a decision to make. Put the dieting down period on hold, and finished the project and then continue afterward. I decided to lean down, but keep carbohydrates just above what I normally set, and set my deficit range less from MT, and change some particulars in training.

While others do things for various reasons (such as entering a competition, etc, etc), I get motivated by working my personal goal by battling my psychological/physiological responses within my living environment. This is my personal competition. Its one I will always battle and face. Just like anyone else.

I get much satisfaction in being successful when life tries to hand you an ass whoopen' (sudden unforeseen changes, etc, etc), and overcoming them marching toward the goal path. I just surrounded most of my eating patterns around work (to keep energy up and prevent headaches, cloudy thinking, etc, with lower carbohydrates), and allowed two days of over MT (simplistically put).

I like where am at now, physique and over all weight wise. And, to be completely honest, getting to higher single digits is tough, and I am getting a little tired of it (just the battle to lean to higher single digits), and plan to just maintain what I worked so hard for the next few months, and re-examine my fitness goals.

Hope all is well with you, Mreik ;)

Peace.

My goal is to get a two pack, i really want the top two to pop out!!! haha!!

I recently sprained my leg, so im not running for a couple more days, its been a week now, and im gonna resistance train again, starting sunday morning.

Busy, is an understatement, young lady. :) Yes, I had increased business. I was under a lot of pressure because some of the decisions I made (or were to make) could effect peoples lives, so I walked softly, and tried to carry a big learning but educational stick to prevent this from happening. I prevented job losses, and created 3 new positions.

Yeah ive been great thanks, im getting more serious about my diet now, i started calorie counting again 5 days ago, including macronutriant counting.

Can you give me some details on this? :)

My goal is to get a two pack, i really want the top two to pop out!!! haha!!

The main issue with most woman, is there fat placement on the body (hips and thighs as a "general rule", with some exceptions of course).

BF is taken all over the body; however, the first two upper abs are the first to show, and most generally.....most generally, the easiest to get to show (and I say this with bated breath), as compared to the lower portion. This is an attainable goal for you, Jackie, but you MUST put the work in--mainly outside of the gym (the hours away where diet is the major player, if you see what I am saying), to compliment what you are doing in the gym (or exercising at home in your case).

I recently sprained my leg, so im not running for a couple more days, its been a week now, and im gonna resistance train again, starting sunday morning.

I hope it gets better, Jackie. Sorry to hear that. Is it real bad? Have you seen a doc?

Has your equipment availability changes since we last talked? Or is it about he same as before?

Let me know what you think, your the man!!

Give me some details on what you are doing with your diet, currently, and answer the question on equipment availability, and we can go from there. :)

Take care!!

You too.....thank you Jackie.

Best wishes,

Chillen

Let me know on the above response, Jackie. I will assist you as much as I can.

On my personal goal status: I have decided to maintain current composition and BF % during the summer, but increase cardiovascular-endurance (which, truth be told, needs improvement).

My pulse is sitting at about 52, at the last doctor visit. I also had a stress test scheduled, which turned out good.

I am going to sit down and review my personal data, and write down my calorie v. exercise needs to ensure I have a grapple to make sure this is completed. I have a pretty good idea now, its just that I like writing it out seeing the numbers from personal experience.

I am working on posting the progress pics from the last 10 months of work.

Off to train: Upper-push/pull circuit

Be at your best everyone.

Peace.

Best regards,

Chillen
