Yu-I think you have done one roadblock (crazy moves) and I have done one (salmon) so either of us could do this weeks, its up to you if you found the stuff and want to do it I'm fine with that, if you didnt then I am going shopping today and will be happy to oblige. Actually I will just plan to buy the stuff since its just a few bucks and that way we are covered either way.

Lori-what a pleasant weekend. I will be looking forward to pictures. Dont be hard on yourself with TOM followed by your birthdya you are doing excellent to loose anything!

THe past 2 days I have been 148 which is down 1lb last week, I got up early this morning really early and decided to hop on the scale and I was VERY surprised to see 146.5 pop up! Wahoo, I weighed 3 times to make sure it was 'positive'. I was afraid it would be a one day thing so I drank water and went back to bed (that was my plan anyway after tending to my daugther) and when I got up I was still down to 147 so that is the weight I used. I was SO SO SO surprised. Also, since I did not work out as at high an intensity yesterday as I normally do (like a maniac) so I could make a nice long workout I am not even sore. Bonus. We have a busy day today so hopefully I can at least fit in a nice walk.
 
LADIES EMERGENCY

for some reason I realized I had not updated my excercise time in log today and when I went to do it I added up our time and we are short! Please check your time. Maybe I am doing a math error.

I feel like SUCH a ninny now because I was going to count a quick jog I did yesterday but it was only 4 minutes so I didnt and guess how much I think we are short? I am not kidding I think we are short 4 minutes 30 seconds :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
so I guess that 4 minutes I didnt add would not matter.

I keep a hard copy log of my time just jotted down, I will go back and check to see if I counted all my time this week.

Hehe, it seems we are short with exactly 4 min 30 seconds. Nicole, if you had reported your 4 min jog - we would be short wit 30 seconds. That's too funny! I still have the feeling that we are going to survive. But let's see...

Kim, as Nicole said I am crazy and I am determined to do every task! It's not exactly because I am achiever. It's just my last challenge and I want to get the most of it! Possibly I will take part in future ones but just for fun without being part of a team.

Nicole, I am so happy with your new low result. This is very important and major achievement. This calorie counting really works miracles. I am really very pleased and impressed!

Lori, you sound very happy and enthusiastic. :) Have a great party! I think the only problem for not doing this roadblock is that you must do the next one according the rules (as each member of the team must do at least one roadblock). I am happy to say that I have found hominy and I will get the beans later this week so almost 99% I am doing this as well as Nicole.

Here's what happened today. As you know I have planned a Starbucks treat. So far so good. I had a drink and sweet (I don't want to tell what was it in order not to tempt you). I left the cafe and continued my walk but then on the way I saw another Starbucks cafe and before I knew I was inside it and I had another drink and another sweet! I don't care that I ate too much but I LOST CONTROL. This happens for the first time in the last 9 months and the reason is I am feeling slim now and not under immediate threat. Again, my proud and confidence! :ack2::ack2::ack2: I am very upset. I don't like when I can't control myslef. As for the gain... I have a week to overcome it and I will! I never mind extra food when there is a special occassion and when I have decided in advance to feel free to eat and to have fun but such lack of control is disgraceful! The pland was 1 drink+1 sweet! I acted as I am on drugs. :cuss:

I got my exercies in - 52 min.

Are doing this team total estimations this week? I see that there was something wrong with last week calculations as it showed we are ok with the minutes and we weren't actually. I didn't check and I don't know where is the mistake. Could be mine... :(
 
Yu/Lori-I know last week Lori had forgotten to count one whole day of her excercise before I reminder her so I was really hoping something like that had happened again. I guess it doesnt matter how much Yu excercise since we already counted her as half. I looked back and I did not do any extra excercise I had not counted. I always undersestimate my times and now I am kicking myself---hard. Like at the gym I was actually there 2hours 45minutes but I only counted 2hours 30minutes because I stopped to have a snack and go to the bathroom once, that didnt take 15minutes but I didnt know how long so I just ocunted low, then I didnt count that 4 minutes. Even with my 4 minutes added in it wont save us, unless you have good news Lori I fear we have lost our points though I dont anticipate being eliminated I hate to loose 1st place LOL.

Morning guys!

I didn't log on at all last night because I updated my stats in the morning. I thought we hit our goal according to our rolling calculations in the posts. But if not, its ok - we're still here! We'll just make sure we hit it next week.

I have no problem at all doing the next detour - I know that the ingredients aren't that expensive - but I am saving any extra cash for tonight's events.

I'm so excited. My sister, who I haven't "hung out" with for a really long time is coming - I see her on holidays..but its definitely not the same as hanging out. And a bunch of friends that I have not seen in some cases over a year will be there. Very exciting!

I just don't know what the hell I'm going to wear. Its funny because its as if I have kicked into the mode of pulling at clothes and thinking they don't fit right - the way I did before I lost weight.

I've gone into a couple of different stores this past week and have tried different stuff on. I automatically go for the XL tops and Size 18 pants out of habit - only to find that they're all too big! Its a good feeling - but at the same time, I'm in between a 14/16 right now and in between a L/XL - is that even possible? It just sucks because nothing is seeming to fit right!

I'm good with dressing up for work..but when it comes to jeans and dressing up casually, I suck at it! I am prone to look in the juniors sections because of the styles..but because of two pain in the asses that God gave me (my chest) none of the tops fit. :banghead:

I'm sure I'll figure out something...I just wish I was to the point where I could grab whatever I want out of my closet and throw it on!

Well, I will let you girls know how it went tomorrow morning..I'm sure I'll be very hungover and plan on sleeping in!

Oh, and I did get my exercise in yesterday - 55 min.

 
Yes, I couldn't believe you ladies were 4:30 short on the exercise. I added it up 3 times to make sure..lol. So you did drop your exercise bonus pts(5). However, your decent weightloss saved you from elimination. :)

Yu--I am thinking about making my next challenge one that will include people who are maintaining as well as losing, so this might not be your last challenge after all. ;) It seems lots of people are at maintenance, or getting very close to it.

Just remember--if Lori doesn't do this roadblock, she will have to do the last one whether she hates it or not. :D

Lori-I hope you have a blast tonight! Looks like we both need to keep up our end of the bargain on excercise this week (especially me) I would have felt so badly if we got eliminated from Yu's last challenge because of me!

I vote that we figure out how much 1/3 of this weeks is and we each try to do 30min more 'just in case' but that is just my opinion.

Yu-I know what you mean baout that feeling of loosing control, I fear we both have the same thing like that when it comes to sweets. The good thing is you reckognized it and are aiming ot correct it. Have you though of allowing yourself treats a bit mroe often so it is not such a big thing when you finally get one that you want more more more? I know you will figure it out!

I did a 30minute walk yesterday girls despite being very ill, they have upped my dose of medicine and I am on it for a 3rd week because I was not better, this medicine is horrid horrid for me and is making me so nauseous and headache, today I have only eaten a can of soup--blah. Oh and PS the scale is being mean to me today, it said back up to 149 but I have learned my lesson not to worry so I dont care!

Lori, I hope you are having a good time. I am myslef currently between 2 sizes 10/12 UK ones for pants and 8/10 for tops. I have to always try the things on and thankfully to the differences in brands I can never be sure which is really my size.

Kim, it's such an exciting news that the challenges will be suitable for people on maintenance! I am deffinitelly in! I just hope, I will not have to exercise from dawn to dusk. :sifone:

Nicole, I am so sorry to hear about you feeling unwell. This so not right. :( I hope that things will get better and your doctor knows his job.

Well I am back on track today although my motivation and determination are on vacation. I was so strong and had militaty style regimen and never ever broke my rules until yesterday. Naturally I gained a lot. I thought a lot today, gave myself a good pep talk and eventually decided that it is necessery to start to build a new mentality. I have therefore decided to allow myself a bit more food on daily basis and limit so called by me "treats" which are pure binging! I hope I still will be able to lose with this level of exercising though because after the end of the challenge I will decrease it.

How are you? I am going through a real motivational crisis. Should this competition didn't exist, I'd be sitting in my sofa with chocolate all over my face, feeling sorry for myself.

Instead I dragged my bum and did my minutes for today. The eating was pretty acceptable as well.

I wasnt even going to 'speak' today I am doing so poorly so I will join your sorrow; sorry I cannto be more uplifting. I see you have a new ticker, why did you decide for 5 more lbs? Keep up the good work, at least you drug your bum out for your workout.

I did 15min walk today, that is it, I am useless right now. I am having severe side effects from my medicine and being up and aruond makes me want to :puke: and unfortunately the eating is poor today as well. Blah

Who's doing the roadblock this week? I made mine last night, and made extra for my H. He loved it!! Now he's bugging me to make it again, and wanted some leftovers for lunch today. :rolleyes:

I hope you all start feeling less gloomy soon. :) Your team has done really well in this challenge. :hurray:
 
Yu-are you doing the roadblock? If you are already doing it then I might let you go ahead if you are not then I still am 100% doing it, I just havent been to the store yet. Hubby went for us on saturday but he wanted a list of less than 10 items and nothing hard to find LOL--he hates shopping.
 
Hi sweet girls,

I am absolutely back on track today. The depression eased off. I have been to the college and this cheered me up. Unfortunately my weight is still horrific! If I don't see significant drop tomorrow, I am going to plan "B" (more water + double walk). I have now changed my ticker as this is the range of weight I want maintain. I natuarally prefer to be hovering towards its lighter end. If I manage this it will also mean a loss for the needs of our team.

Nicole, you are such a fighter! I wish I could offer any meaningful advice on how to deal with your condition but all I can actually do is get inspired by your strong willpower.

Do you both think we will be able to cover our tram minutes this week? I have planned my 1/3rd but will try my best to do some more should we need some.

I very much want to do the roadblock but I need my beans confirmed by Kim. I suppose that lima beans are the green ones as you said but we just don't have those here. Honestly. Please wait until tomorrow to see if I will have the problem cleared. Then I will confirm who is doing the roadblock.

Is there any American brand name for sugar or lima beans so I can search a picture of it in google?

Yu-no problemo on the roadblock I may just buy the stuff anyway if I can get to the store tomorrow. Ah dont worry about my condition, I am used to juggling though I admit this time caught me by surprise, my old meds didnt make me as sick as the new ones (I have just now found out many on the meds I am on get RX for nausea meds--that would have been helpful!). Anyway thanks for stopping by my diary I wrote back to you there some more. I am very gla dyou are feeling better today.

well we definately need to get our minutes in this week for sure! I know I wil have a problem getting them in but I am doing my best! I got in 75 today though it was barely a work out it was done in teh spirit of working out just at a slower pace so I will count it.
 
I just wanted to make sure that you remembered that if Yuliana or Nicole do this roadblock - the 4th and last one will have to be done by Lori - whether she wants to do it or not - even though the other two of you may be happy to do it.

I believe that Yu did the capoeira and Nicole did the salmon. Lori will need to do one - no matter how expensive or distasteful she finds it.

In our team - we tried to spread the first three evenly (so Bellaryna did the salmon - even though I kind of do that every week).

I wouldnt want you to face a problem on the last roadblock.

3. Each week there will be a bonus. The bonuses will consist of Detours or Roadblocks. Detours are tasks that all team members must complete in order to get the bonus pts. Team members will have 2 options to choose from, and the team doesn’t have to choose the same option. Teams will receive 10pts if each member completes 1 option. Roadblocks are only done by one team member. The team will decide which member will do the Roadblock. There will be 4 detours and 4 roadblocks. Only 1 team member may perform 2 roadblocks, the other 2 members can only do one roadblock. The team will receive 10pts for completing a roadblock. Roadblocks and Detours will have something to do with that week's destination.
 
Yu, I figured out why we have been a bit 'glum' our good friend Lori has not been around as much with her sunshiny personality and new ava's......................................Lori, hello hoping to see you soon!

PS Kim is right we HAVE done really well this challenge, we only need our excercise points this week and I think we will ROCK the house!

Girls! Girls! Girls! Whasssssa matttttaaaa??? Turn the frowns upside down!! You guys are doing great - think positive. You guys have to remember...ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!

I will never neglect you guys again! I feel so bad that I haven't been able to get on as much as I normally did! But I think I have just squeezed so much into every day that I run out of time!

The good news is that I have been an exercise maniac! :drool5:

On Friday, I did 55 minutes. Saturday morning - I took the dogs for a 45 min walk and then did 20 min of alternating Cardio/Strength/Abs (65 min total) - Sunday, I got up and did 65 min Cardio w/weights - and then took the dogs for a 20 min walk (85 min total), and then yesterday - did 20 min in the morning - and then two 15-min power walks at work. Soooooo..I'm up to 255 min for the week.

Saturday night was AWESOME!!! Very very fun! Bad news - the camera was dead when we got there! :banghead: I was so upset - I charged it all day not even realizing that the charger was unplugged. So, I have no memories in pictures of my 30th birthday party. But it turned out really well! I did ride the mechanical bull - got that on video (not real good quality because it was done on a cell phone - but I'm going to have my boyfriend help me figure out how to load it on to the computer)

I know I've been promising you guys a new blonde avatar - and I will do it..I PROMISE!! The problem is, I've been running myself short on time in the mornings - and then working until 8. So, by the time I get home - the last thing I feel like doing is getting on the computer.

But now that I see how sad you guys have been..I will MAKE TIME!! The most important part of being on a team is helping each other stay motivated - and I apologize for letting you guys down. :grouphug: Won't happen again!!

Omega - I'm well aware that I will have to do the last challenge. I can assure you that I will not cause a PROBLEM for the last roadblock.

The girls on my team have been very supportive - and know what I have been going through over the past couple of months financially. I would not have entered the contest if I felt that I would NEVER be able to do a roadblock.

Girls - if you feel the same way as Omega..PLEASE tell me! I am not a high maintenance person that isn't willing to play my part on our team. If neither one of you wanted to do this last roadblock (which you both told me you had no problem with) I would have figured something out and got it done.

I did do the salmon roadblock - but did not keep specific count because Nicole claimed it after we all agreed that she would be the one to do it.

Sorry if I sound a bit snappy, Omega - I just don't appreciate being treated as the "weak spot" in the team.

PS I am thinking the :reddevil: in Kim will come out for the last roadblocks so I 'me thinks' I'm getting off light LOL!
