Hi girls. I'm eating my cabbage right now. I'm actually enjoying it and will be eating all 5 cups tonight. I also did 2 hours and 5 minutes of exercise so far today. Might do the bike again for another hour a little later on tonight if I'm not too tired.

Good Job V!! I obviously have done NO exercise. But i will try to get in a few minutes tomorrow or Sunday. I promise I will get SOMETHING DONE. lol. That cossack dance looks beyond my capabilities this week. I will eat the cabbage.
 
V, what recipe did you use? I ate some of my mom's but need to make more so I have to find some recipes for something that tastes good.

This was real quick and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:
1 head green cabbage
1 can (6 ounces) V-8 juice or tomato juice
1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning blend (I left this out, I wasn't in a spicy mood)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
dash salt and pepper, or to taste

PREPARATION:
Cut cabbage into large pieces, discarding outer leaves and core. Pack into a large saucepan and add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
Serves 6.

It was pretty good. I ate the whole 5 cups in one sitting and I would make it again.

Ohhhh I think I found this recipe somehwere.....or something very similar to it! Very excited. I got the day off tomorrow instead of the usual Sunday so I'll go out shopping tomorrow to get the cabbage! Yay I'm excited :)
 
Well I didn't exercise yesterday as I was incredibly tired from work! BUT today I am going to do a half hour on the bike, half hour on the elliptical and strength train for a half hour! I'll make sure I get at least 5.5 hours this week :). Hope you are feeling well Brandy!
 
I think I am going to be bedridden again today. But I feel myself getting more energy each day. I still have the same pains... but they are becoming less crippling.. if that makes sense. i think I'm getting used to them. Tomorrow I should definitely be out for at least 1 walk.
 
I already did an hour on the bike this morning and plan on doing an hour of workout tapes this afternoon. Brandy, I think Keepitoff and I can cover most of the exercise this week so you can get as much rest as possible. Don't push yourself too soon or too much. We want you to get better before worrying about getting the exercise in.

I agree with V....relax don't stress out your body!

I would totally do more than 5.5 hours, but I think with V doing half and me doing that much, that's the most possible.....and I guess I'm not motivated enough to do more than I need to hehe :) BUt if I'm off on calculations, someone let me know I need to do more and then I will be MORE THAN HAPPY TO......after all it's not like it's a bad thing to do more exercise!!!!!!!!

Off to buy some cabbage.....YUM :)
 
well ladies, i did 80 min of exercise today and also purchased my cabbage! Hopefully I'll get a little bit more exercise in tomorrow than I did today as I'd like to have 3 hours b/f I start another week of really long hours! That way I'll only have to do 2.5 hours in four days, which is very doable! Again, let me know how much exercise is needed if it's more than 5.5 hours! V, have you done some of the second BL DVD? Just curious how it is and whether or not I should take the wrapping off haha!

Keepitoff, if you can do the 40% that would mean 5 hours and 8 minutes of exercise for you, leaving 77 minutes for Brandy. But Brandy, I really mean this, only exercise if you feel 100% up to it. If you can't do it, don't worry about it. The challenge is fun but it's not worth you jepardizing your health. OK!!!!!!!!

I've tried most of the 2nd DVD. It was pretty good too. Kim's moves are a little more coordinated then Bob's so you have to find your coordination. She focuses a lot on balance too. I think I liked Bob's segments geared towards men better then her segments. They were a little more intense. Or, maybe I just like Bob, lol. The many short 10 minute segments, even when done consecutive, make the workout seem to go faster. Wasn't a bad DVD overall. Still need to give the bootcamp segment a shot.

I can probably get more than that done. So far today I feel great! And I am definitely up for a walk. I don't know for how long...but I will definitely get one in. Even if its only 15 minutes today. I will be able to do the 70 minutes for sure. I think my walk today will be short because I still need some rest.
 
Clocked another 60 minutes on the bike tonight which put's me over the 50% of exercise alloted for this week. I still plan on getting a workout in tomorrow and possibly Thursday to try and show a loss on the scale this week for us.

I hope you're feeling a little better Brandy. I'm going to pop over to your journal to check up on you.
 
Hey so I didn't do any exercise today....bad me, but I'm so exhausted today from work.....this is harder than I expected :). I have done 3 hours 15 min so far and just now updated it as I'm paranoid :). I have a short day tomorrow (yay) so will try to finish off my exercise.....fit not, there's always Thurs :)!!!!!! I know I'll have a loss this week as I weighed in at TOM!

Brandy, I truly hope you are feeling better and everything is okay!

V, great job on all the exercise! You are awesome!
 
I'm feeling a lot better now. Definitely enough to exercise. But I haven't done any so far. SO tonight I am going on a long walk, and then I will go on a few tomorrow. I PROMISE I will get my 77 minutes in. No problem now!!! But for being on the couch... I've only lost .6 lbs. I hope I can lose another pound with all the exercise I do tonight and tomorrow.
