The 21 Day Club

Oh! I am so in for this!!! I need something to get me going and trying to do it all at once is SOOOO hard.

My biggest problem right now is not exercising and binge eating in the evenings. So my goal(s) are 4.5 hours of exercise a week (total 13.5 hours for 21 days) and to go 21 days without pigging out in the evening. Basically - anything after 5pm has to be less than 600 calories. And I'm not eating 2 hours before bedtime.

Day 1 (4/25) - no exercise (read journal for details - basics: hurt ankle a few steps out the door for my run); food after 5: 370 cals =)
Day 2 (4/26) - no exercise; WAY too many calories after dinner...
Day 3 (4/27) - 65 min total exercise; not good on calories - potluck at friends house
Day 4 (4/28) - no exercise; missed calorie goal (starbucks study group... damn lattes)
Day 5 (4/29) - 45 min run outside; 430 cals after 5
Day 6 (4/30) - 40 min walk (even tho it was to class and back, I'm counting it b/c i normally slack off and drive); way over on dinner cals - and I had more food late (but still two hours before bed)
Day 7 (5/1) - 50 min run + 5 min cooldown;
Day 8 (5/2) -
Day 9 (5/3) -
Day 10 (5/4) -
Day 11 (5/5) -
Day 12 (5/6) -
Day 13 (5/7) -
Day 14 (5/8) -
Day 15 (5/9) -
Day 16 (5/10) -
Day 17 (5/11) -
Day 18 (5/12) -
Day 19 (5/13) -
Day 20 (5/14) -
Day 21 (5/15) -

total exercise time so far: 3 hours 20 min

hi 2skinny - it looks like we are in almost exactly the same place!

Doing good on at least one of my goals so far! guess you have to start somewhere...

Yes, we have to start somewhere, and cutting out the binge eating at night is a tough one, I know. I can never let my guard down because a temptation to binge can rear it's ugly head at any time. We can do it!

Tell me about it :( I figure if I do more in the remaining time it will average out to 2 times a week :p I like averages :D

Averages are good mmkay, unless of course we are talking about scale weight in which case we take whatever the lowest number was :D

woot! im almost done my 21 days! horaay! :D
Might start another, i had so much fun and it was good for me too - really helped in the weight loss/kick the plateau thing

Good job, Wishes. I totally sucked mine up. I have started over twice and need to start over again. BUT-as long as I am starting over, it means I am not quiting, so I can deal with that.

absolutely!
as i say when im cycling, its not about comming first or last, or even running the race. Its about finishing what you started, no matter how long it takes.

good advice =)

I could use a restart probably myself - but I'm just going to keep plugging away. I have had two days out of five that I have hit one of my two goals. That's kind of pathetic. I'm going to try SO much harder this week!!!

Congratulations Wishes, on finishing your 21 days!! I've started jogging again and did 5km tonight. On the way home I looked at my face in the rearview mirror and remembered another advantage of jogging... a real nice complexion. Here's to more weight loss and great looking skin, sistah! And to another 21 days.:D

K, I finished my 21 days and they were great. I took today off exercise, and tomorrow I'll start a new batch of 21 days of exercise. This time I'm going to alternate elliptical trainer with jogging, or I might do all jogging for cardio (if my knees allow).

Day 1 May 5th; 108 sit-ups, 6 upper body free weight exercises, jogged 5 km on the grid road with the black buffalo-boy (he needs a haircut)
Day 2 May 6th; walked the dog 4 miles, 108 sit-ups, heel raises, core strength and 3 sets of 12 shoulder shrugs with 5 pound weights.
Day 3 May 7th; jogged 40 minutes, sit-ups, core, heel raises, & 7 upper bodies with 8 pound weights, walked 2 miles home.
Day 4 May 8th; walked 2 miles to work and 1 mile with the dog.
Day 5 May 9th; No exercise
Day 6 May 10th; hill climbing on elliptical trainer 45 minutes, sit-ups, heel raises, core, 7 upper body with 8 pound weights.
Day 7 May 11th; Completely exhausted, insomnia, no exercise.
Day 8 May 12th; jogged 4 km, sit-ups, core, heel raises, upper body as usual
Day 9 May 13th; jogged 5km
Day 10 May 14th; jogged 30 minutes, sit-ups, core, heel raises & upper body as usual
Day 11 May 15th; wasn't going to exercise and then changed my mind...walked the dog around the lake 5 km
Day 12 May 16th; no exercise
Day 13 May 17th; 30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the elliptical trainer, sit-ups, core, heel raises, upper body. Up at 6:00 am for this one and it felt great!
Day 14 May 18th; no exercise
Day 15 May 19th; 40 minutes hill climbing elliptical trainer, 108 sit-ups, upper body, core and heel raises
Day 16 May 20th; walked the dog to the grocery store and back, 2 miles.
Day 17 May 21st; no exercise
Day 18 May 22nd; no exercise
Day 19 May 23rd; No exercise
