Val - bran flakes and baked potato and beans is exactly what I ate on the first day of the fibre challenge, it worked too :)

Peas, blackberries and raspberries are other good sources of fibre.

I did well that first day but totally missed the mark yesterday 'cause of my junk food splurge. I'm hoping I can pick up the pace on exercise and fibre today.

I've had beans and baked potato for lunch and am going to have a bowl of bran this evening so with that and fruit and veg that I've eaten I should easily reach my 25g today. I'm still really dissapointed that porridge isn't as high in fibre as I thought.
 
I used to eat loads of bran and yoghurt but went on to oats and had forgotten how much I like bran. This challenge is easy now that I am eating bran again. Today I have had 40 g of bran for breakfast. 2 slices of multi cereal bread and baked beans for lunch and tonight I will probably have a chick peas salad as well as snacking fruit so will be well over 25g again. I didn't realize how much my diet was lacking in fibre but that explains a few problems that I've been having :eek:
 
I found it really easy to eat my fibre in day one. All the cereals I've been having are relatively high (sultana bran ftw) and I eat only wholemeal bread anyway. Broccoli is good for it too :)
 
Woo my exercise is amazing this week :p (For me anyway)
I went into Leeds to get some stuff sorted out and spent over 6 hours walking and stair climbing. Not just normal walking, I pushed myself to walk fast and did loads of hills. Only time I was still was on the train(10 minutes) and when eating my dinner. Then I walked up a big hill, then walked back down with some bags and walked all the way back along the canal.
I ached sooo much and then the next day I walked into town in 15 minutes! :O Normally takes half an hour or so.
And then I walked up and down town today and did lots more walking round shops (but that was more leisurely so I'm only counting the town walking and to and from the station (big hill!!!)).

So taking out breaks I'm saying 7 hours so far.
My legs still hurt lol.
I've never walked so much pushing my self so hard.

I was dancing on the wii (broadway one is amazing!!!) and I fell and sprained my ankle :(

I did a little more later on but its aching pretty badlly now.

Managed to get about 7.5 so far though, will see what I can do tomorrow though.
 
Aw I'm sorry to hear about your ankle.

You've done a lot better than me though! I've totally slacked on my exercise this week and I'm not sure next week is gonna be that much better 'cause I'm in placement for the first time and I'm gonna be really tired/stressed I think!

I hope everyone's having a great week and doing lots of exercise and eating their fibre! :)

I hope your ankle gets better soon. I have got Just Dance but will definitely buy the Broadway one as it looks like a lot of fun.
I didn't have time to exercise yesterday as I had people coming and going at my house all day. I had a busy day but no formal exercise but will go to the gym today and as it's a bit cooler will probably go for a walk tonight to make up for yesterday.

I'm weighing in early too :)

I did well in the mini challenge but not so great on the exercise front. I can't really promise next week will be any good either but I'll try my best :) Oh and I had lost 3 lbs as of this morning but if that changes tomorrow then I'll edit this post.
 
Bren, I'm sorry for your loss.

I noticed you've been consistently doing lots of exercise - well done and keep it up :)

Thanks Holly. I try to do an hour a day 5 days a week, and a 1/2 hour on day 6.

This week has not been normal though.
 
Will post properly on Tuesday.. I'm dog sitting at the moment so can only log in on my laptop and I'm really missing my mouse!!!
Been doing the dancing stuff despite my ankle and it seems to be better already. Or maybe I'm just used to spraining my ankles by now!!
