Weight-Loss Team 1 Chat Thread

Weight-Loss
So I have my excersize in the bag for the day. Calories should be fine I never go over more then a few calories mostly because i plan ahead in the day what i'm going to eat.. and to top it all off believe it or not I already seem to be down a pound. I weigh myself every afternoon.
My body seems to have kicked into high gear after my 2 week holiday break from excersizing.

Great job! Get that exercise in early and the rest of the day is skating.:driving:

Hey Guys, My name really is ALTA & I'm finally ready to lose this damn WEIGHT & become FIT!!!!!! wooooWOoooo!!! :driving:

...My plan of attack is : CONSISTENCY with Low Carbs...I try to maintain them to a count of 30 carbs per day, for the initial faze, and then gradually increase them as I proceed. I really do not look at calorie intake and do not look at anything other than the Carbs itself...

I am planning on : 3 Meals Daily
2 Snacks Daily
Vitamins 3x a Day
Hot Green Tea - One Gallon a Day
And EXERCISE BABY!!!! :smash: SMASH IT!!! ;)

...I'm EXCITED to be on this TEAM, as I know WE WILL WIN!!!

Chat Room Meet Ups Anyone??

Anyone up to hold a weekly chat session with our team?

What days and times work best for everyone?

Sundays, Mondays work best for me.

Let me know! I think it would be so much fun!!!

Go Team 1!!

Sunday evenings (EST) works best for me!

As Alta so eloquently put it here is MY plan of attack! haha

Eat HEALTHY larger portions of fruit, veggies, whole grains and smaller portions of my one true love: fat. And by fat I mean cheese.

3 meals daily, one early evening snack

Workouts 2 hours 4-5 times a week, with 45 mins to an hour of cardio. Yoga daily after waking up for half an hour.

Only 1-2 alcoholic drinks per week.

LOTS OF WATER. TONS. GALLONS. METRIC TON. I'm going to drink at least two LARGE glasses prior to meals, and two LARGE glasses after. So far I feel like a fish, and my skin looks great!! haha

Everyone sounds like they are really doing well, let's stick with it!

Friends of ours went there for their honeymoon last year and it looks amazing. They had a room where one wall was missing becuase the wind always blows away, so your whole room is open to the ocean. Very cool.

Wow that sounds pretty cool! We booked an ocean cottage so we have a view but not like that!! I must be looking forward to it cos I've just done over 40 mins on the dance mat and my god i loved it!!

Go team 1!!!!!!!!!:hurray::hurray:

I think this is great and I am feeling pretty damn motivated....Lawd knows I need motivation..

WOOT WOOT WOOT TEAM ONE...KICK SOME BOOTAY!!!

Hey, Karen. Feel free to be the drill sargent. :svengo: We're going to need some because that team 2 is motivated. They have 73 posts in their thread to our 45. :( We're going to have to step up our smack talk game or have our asses hung out to dry. (I can speak from experience, no one wants to see my ass hanging out :D)

We seem to be off to a great start! How's everyone doing today food plan and exercise wise?! No going off our plan peeps!

So far so good for me. I ate 1400 calories yesterday and today I'm back to counting too. I counted calories for months at a time and I had lost a bunch of weight. After so long (and being on a plateau for about a year, after which I started gaining rather than losing) I couldn't take it anymore and honestly I've put on weight since. I always did fine without calorie counting before but I think right after you lose you easily put weight on so for a time period you've got to work HARD on maintenance too. Anyway, after a long break I'm going to calorie count for the next 6 weeks and see if I can shed some pounds the good old fashioned way.

TTYL everyone! :)

Food is right on for me. I just finished dinner and I'll be hitting the gym as soon as my daughter finishes her homework :banghead:

I made a nice chicken and rice dish with zucchini on the side. The rest of the night is just water. :smash:

....Damn RIGHT about water!!! Get your water on PEOPLE!! Drink up!!! Let's STOP retaining that water, and DRINKING that water!!!! YAY!!!

Claudia, sorry if i missed it but I have a question about the exercise portion of the challenge. Is it an "all or nothing" challenge? Like what if someone only does 1/2 of the exercise, do they get 50 points or nothing? Just wanted to clarify that come weekly point tally time so there is no misunderstandings.

Alright!!! :D: You go girl!!! It helps me a lot too, when I pre plan my meals! Doesn't leave much up to guessing or worse TAKE OUT!! Uggghh....LOL!!!

...TEAM ONE!!!!!! KNOCK EM OUT!! ---Good Job on the Exercise!

What's up hot ass bitches!!!

I'm Amy, 26, married, two-year old daughter, 8 year-old stepson. I enjoy Pina Coladas and dancing in the rain. Hah!

My story is a long and frustrating one. Go to my diary for details if you like. I wish to lose the remaining 30lbs of the baby weight. I have a hypothyroidism which has resulted in a rare metabolic condition that puts my MAINTENANCE calories around 1800-2000 rather than 2500-3000 like most females my age with my level of activity. I have to keep the calories below 1500 and work my ass off at the gym to lose just a little weight. I'm on medication and it is SLOWLY getting better so I think 2009 is the year I will finally get back down to 130lbs. Woot!

I am an avid runner and love to weight train. When my husband isn't off training or flying I run an average of 10-15 miles a week and weight train 90 minutes (3 days). We hike a lot on the weekends and stay very active. I don't think I will have a problem with the exercise points. LOL!

Current sizes:

Jeans/slacks - size 10
Shirts - Med

Here's a current pic of me taken last week while hiking with the kids.
Wooohooo!! I love the pic!! You are one HOT MAMA!! :drool5:!!

....WE CAN DO THIS!! WOooooT WoooooT!!!

Diet is on track and my exercise is already done for today, so max points for me so far!! Go Team #1!!

***HIGH FIVE BABY!!!**** Getting it done....getting it done....I'm about to go do stairs RIGHT NOW & leave the rest for tonight...FOOD has been amazing and Water has been BY THE GALLON!! ;)

TEAM ONE>......let me hear you ROOOOOOOOOARRR!!!!!!

I definately got my points in today Im within my calorie range and as always i have more then enough room for my daily reward of flavoured popcorn as a snack tonight. BTW Do we get points for pounds too? how many?

Hello my damn sexy ladies!! We're gonna win this. Team 2 ain't gonna know what hit 'em!!

I am only at 700 calories for the day. Not enough, I know. I am going to get them to 1100 with lean protein and veggies. Sean had to fly tonight so no cardio for me. :( I weight trained last night so tonight has to be a "rest day" for my muscles. Tomorrow I will get an hour and a half exercise which will leave me with only 75 minutes left to meet the challenges requirements for the week. I plan to get more than that though!! 1.5 hours tomorrow night and friday then another hour for saturday which will give me five hours for the week. My calories are right on so hopefully I'll see a change on the scale next week!!!

Go team!!!

I'm Jessie- 26, manage a GNC(ironic, haha!) and have ALWAYS been huuuuge. I weighed in at 266 :ack2: but that number may be off due to the fact that my scale is a pos :) I'm hoping for that anyway!
Goal: Eat 1500cals a day, workout hardcore the way I use to. I have high hopes for this six week challenge, and I'm pretty sure we're gonna kick team #2's butts :D

Thanks Alta!!!

Finished today with 1653 calories....wooooo right in my zone! Went and worked out after reading all of the MOTIVATED people in Team 1! Did 40 minutes spinning (spin HELL) and 20 minutes of walking on an incline. Also did 30 minutes of weight lifting, abs, strength yadda yadda. Feeling good!!!

Motherof2: we get 5 points for each pound lost!

Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint!! LET'S KICK ASS!
