Senior needs help with my work outs.

Today was another sedentary 2 hr drive to mom’s for a visit and back. Got home about 4:0pm. Outside temperature is 28C and hi humidity, so I hit the Treadclimber for a cardio workout in our cool basement.

Thank you Cate & Llama I appreciate your comments. This morning was also nice and cool (17C) so we had Bella out for a nice walk. We drove to our daughter’s place to see our grandchildren. They have a salt water pool, so I took the opportunity to swim some laps with my son-in-law while the ladies were preparing pizzas for us to cook on their wood fired pizza oven. (Yes they like to spoil us).

Well that just sounds delightful! Both the salt water pool and the pizzas :p Is the salt to reduce the need for chlorine or just because it's cool?

I haven’t done lap swimming in years. Looking back at my swim I see I need to pace myself better. I started fast, then slowed then finished fast again. Definitely getting winded, checked my heart rate & it was 140 bpm when I stopped. We’re babysitting our grandchildren next weekend while their parents are away for their anniversary. I plan to get some more practice in the pool.

We (Bella &I) we’re out for our morning walk yesterday while my wife was out for her 5k run. At 2.5k Bella showed her signs she was tired so I dropped her at home& did 2 k to finish 5 km.

Just looked at my vo2 max data for last 6 months (estimated by Apple Watch in outdoor walks or runs). I am happy to see an increase in the graph since April, which corresponds with the milder weather here in Canada & our return from vacation in Samana Bay

We had rain showers on & off all day today so I hit the Treadclimber for a cardio workout this afternoon. Managed to burn 440 calories in 40 min workout.
Checked my weight today (no change). I guess it’s expected to slow as I get closer to target.

3 workouts this weekend. Some laps in the pool Saturday, then took Bella for 3km walk early this morning and went scuba diving at Burleigh Falls. It’s a long time favourite spot that we used for training dives when I was still active teaching. Walk in shore entry with gradual descent to 60 ft depth (18m). Distance out approximately 200 meters out & back. My Apple Watch estimated 450 meters which is about right with back& forth exploring the bottom.

Yesterday was a visit to my mom, which is 4 hrs driving, & the drive home was gruelling in the rain. Today Bella & I walked 5km this morning & we changed clothes & worked on the shrubs for an hour & half. Sipping a bio steel now .

I am confusion. First I see your pup changing into coveralls to help you in the garden and then you drink liquid metal?
:ROFLMAO:
