Senior needs help with my work outs.

This morning’s workout on the Treadclimber.6091E04B-EAF5-4AFE-8D85-D8A5D08CA314.jpeg I needed to burn some extra calories as today started with 2 oatmeal raisin cookies & coffee. LOL
 
Strength training today, 20 minutes light cardio for warm up, followed by weights.
I achieved 3 set of 10 reps on all 3 - 60 lb barbell exercises, but the last rep was not good form yet. Straight legs raises to failure 20, 18, & 15 reps.
Push ups are 3 sets of 12 reps.
Chest flies and triceps extensions are 3 sets, 15 reps.

weighed in this morning: still holding 213 lbs. The Treadclimber workouts are paying off. Yesterday’s walk with Bella, we were under 11 minutes/km for the last 3 of our 4km walk. My walking partner always has to stop in that first km to leave a deposit, which I have to bag. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Today’s cardio workout on the Treadclimber, I pushed harder than usual to get my heart rate up to 160 bpm, which is the theoretical max for my age (67).E9966D28-17BE-405A-B005-1EF6367471D9.jpeg
 
Weight is still 213 lbs. Strength training continues, 3 barbell exercises are now at 70 lbs 3 sets 10 reps, but last two reps are not clean yet. Push-ups are at 3x 15 reps

Another cardio session on our Treadclimber today. Took a look at my cardio fitness over the last year, not surprising it fell during my post hip replacement recovery period, but it’s nice to see the curve move back up to prepandemic level.

Happy cinco de mayo.
Strength training continues to show progress. I achieved 10 good clean reps on all 3 70 lb barbell lifts, with exception on the last set of biceps curls( last two reps were a struggle to complete). Push-ups are now 3 sets of 17 reps. We acquired at bench with leg extensions this week. Added 3x 50 lbs x 15 reps, & now looking for a straight bar for bench press.
I received my first Pfizer vaccine injection yesterday. While we’re still in stay at home orders here, (like cave divers say) it’s nice to see the light at the end! My weight is holding at 213, my new plateau. It’s been busy here even though our stay at home order is extended till first week of June. We’re cleaning up the flower beds, planted 12 new roses , weeded & added cedar mulch to stop weeds. Yesterday I tracked my calories & burned almost 2000 calories doing yard work. We still did our evening 3km walk with Bella. I rewarded myself with a cold beer afterwards. It was a light beer! Btw.
 
Being three pounds off your goal weight is pretty amazing. Not weird that it´s hard to lose more weight when you´re so close.
 
That last 3 lbs will hang on like grim death, but it will go. You are so fit & active now. Well done, Mike
 
Celebrating today’s target weight day. Last spring I weighed 210 lbs/95.5 kg. Which is 50 lbs lighter than 3 years ago. After my hip replacement in July 2020 my weight crept back up to 225 lbs at Christmas. Most gyms are closed due to COVID, so we acquired the Treadclimber & barbell weights & bench. Checking my weight today ( after rehydrating & lunch) I am back under my target weight of 210 lbs!
