I have the place to myself this morning, heading down to the gym to do some training before I need to hit the computer to get some more work done. Looking forward to Uni being back in 2 weeks.

Notes: All lifting was done barefoot today

my foot fits better into the TRX strap barefoot compared to having shoes on. I have very good ankle mobility and short femurs so barefoot is fine for my squat. I would not suggest barefoot for squat, especially deep squat for those who have mobility issues or proportionately long femurs.

I think it is easy for the inexperienced to get messed around by internet videos for some exercises, as you know there is no single perfect form for everybody when it comes to exercises like squat but a lot of internet fitness influencers have people believing otherwise.

In powerlifting competition most competitors will lift in Squat shoes where the heel is raised, sometimes by quite a bit. I have squat shoes but I rarely use them, especially now I am not competing.

If I had been deadlifting then there would have been benefits for barefoot beyond just convenience.

Preach. It's frustrating sometimes: on the one hand I love that all these tutorials give more people an option to move but on the other it's practically impossible to properly show someone an exercise when you don't know them and can't even see them.

Been a hectic morning, had a fight with my WiFi Router plus little miss was adamant on wearing a dress today which was not only unsuitable for the weather but also not suitable for outdoor play. making me a little late for the meeting I had organised to hand in enrolment forms etc. for little misses enrolment into primary school next year. but all done, the whole school has 24 students in total.

feeling crap this morning after a super heavy night. Had 4 squares of 90% dark chocolate before bed, soaked through a heavy pad and period pants, woke up with cramping this morning. At least there is no pressure to get anything done today. I will probably take little miss to ride her bike at the park while hubby is having a driving lesson (he is trying to get a Heavy Rigid Truck licence to be able to drive the fire tanker) and will get some painting done later if I feel up to it.

One section of wall is now a giant blackboard, finished the second coat. now to decide between actually using it as a chalkboard or putting a gym wall sticker on it. Also added another 4 mats.

The plan for the day is firstly get the bin down to the road so a bit over a km of walking then the next task will be more painting. We put up couple of plywood panels up in the last bit of the shed that is bare metal, did not have enough ply to finish it but will paint what we have put up. Depending on how bad the fumes are I may get a couple more short exercise videos filmed.

feeling a bit better, the more I move the better I feel during my period, I will probably be very sore tonight, I still need to go into town to get some material to cover the very top of the wall section (more time up and down the ladder lol) the bit that will be awkward to line with plywood and to make a curtain for the window which is letting in too much light for photography and video.

I am happy with how it is starting to look, and it is much tidier without the cloth photography screen and frame I have pulled apart and stored. I will repurpose the frame as part of a new chook pen we need to build.

Feet and legs are tired and sore, shoulders are hanging in there better than expected, Worked up quite a sweat on this hot winter day.

A couple of finishing touches when hubby gets home from Brisbane after a hospital appointment and it should be much better for videos.

Looks better than bare metal, also it was the last section that needed insulation before next summer. If I film of take pics at night I can control the light better.

I have my CPR renewal on Saturday then I can upgrade my insurance. I am thinking about running some classes at one of the local community halls.

Most exercises I will be videoing will be done in this open space, at least to begin with because a floor, a bench and some simple bits of equipment is about all some people have access to and the exercises on my heavy duty equipment are the sort that should be coached in person and not just a short video demonstration.

I wish more trainers were that ethical. It won't make you rich though, I'm afraid.
