Well happy birthday and I hope your week is filled with lots of goodies. My birthday is coming up in a week and My husband is taking me to my favorite place to eat and i am going to get what ever i want. It's good to treat yourself with what you want every once in a while. But then i just excercise a little more. It makes me feel not so guilty. Good luck!

Thanks girls for the birthday wishes, im a spoilt brat when it comes to my birthday lol and love every minute of it :D . Omg Jules you’re Pisces as well got to love our star sign. Did you no we share our birthday with Cindy Crawford, Jennifer love Hewitt, Drew Barrymore and Kelsey Grammar…. just a bit of trivia for you lol :p . Ok food yesterday...

Breakfast
1 slice of toast

Lunch
Salad sandwich
1 orange

Dinner
We went to a buffet and lucky for me there were a lot of point friendly foods there,
I had

Tomato
Cucumber
Onion
1 slice of chicken
1 slice of turkey
1 piece of chicken in rum sauce (to die for)
Small bit of white rice with mystery meat (not sure what it was but it was nice)
Potato bake with 3 cheeses
3 bean salad
Coleslaw
2 other salads but I can’t remember what they were

I no this sounds like a lot but I only had small amounts of each (around 2 teaspoons) and I didn’t eat it all. It was yummy though.

Snack
Rice puffs
3 beers (good Rhonda) :D
 
Breakfast
2 x toasts
2 coffees

Lunch
Steak sandwich

Dinner
Ww meal

Snacks
2 little boys
1 coffee

Exercise
25 minutes on bike :D woo hoo

I read some of your menus. Basically they are ok, but according my experience on loosing weight you make a basic mistake. YOU MUST EAT BREAKFAST. Probably you are not hungry because as I see you eat most of your food at dinner. When your dinner is going to be balance with lunch, you will be hungry in the morining. It takes time but it works. You cannot imagine how much it works. I am a person that I never eat breakfast, but for 2 years now that I am in weight loss, I never skip breakfast. I think that if you skip breakfast, you are a little hungry at lunch and very very hungry at dinner.

I make 5-6 meals per day trying to keep my metabolism burning all day. If I skip meal I am so much hungry during the next meal that I loose control.

I hope that you don't mind to express you some of my experience.

I love drew barrymore and i didn't know that we shared the same birthday. HOw exciting. It looks like you did good at the buffet i'm sure your great efforts will pay off at your next weigh in good luck!
 
This story happened a while ago in Brisbane, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true.
This guy was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night and in the middle of a storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stop. The guy, without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door, just to realize there's nobody behind the wheel. The car started slowly.

The guy looked at the road and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the wheel. The guy, paralyzed with terror, watched how the hand appeared every time they came to a curve.

The guy, gathering strength, jumped out of the car and ran to the nearest pub. Wet and in shock, he went to a tavern and asked for two shots of tequila. He then started telling everybody about the horrible experience he went through. A silence enveloped everybody when they realized the guy was
Crying and....wasn't drunk.

About half an hour later two guys walked into the same tavern, wet and out of breath.
Looking around and seeing the guy who hitched a lift, the one said to the other, "Look, Bruce, there's the idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it."

Yes breakfast is something im still working on, im good most of the time though. Lol The reason my dinner menu looks so large the other day is because its my birthday and my hubby took me out for dinner and honestly even though it looks a lot it really wasn’t.
The snacks are all through out the day not after dinner its just easer to put them in a group of there own. Thank you for your input I really appreciate it. I have around 60kgs to loose and would love any insight you could give me.
 
Thanks Jules, isn’t Drew Barrymore great I think she’s so down to earth. No weigh in for me this week, the rotary club is having a dinner for my daughter tonight. She was voted president of the interact club (the rotary club sponsors it). We are a very proud mum and dad. I could weigh in on the home scales but they lie lol.

Hi jaws, I can’t wait to get my hair cut its starting to look terrible lol im looking like such a dag atm but im determined to wait. It will make it so worth it.
 
I like the kinda lying scales that make me weigh less....they are hard to find though

Ok we found out that we didn’t need to get to Cayce’s dinner until 630 so I whipped into ww and got weighed in, on the scales at home it said I was 110kgs :D and usually they are only 300g out (can you see were this is going) anyway so I was expecting a good loss this week….so I jumped on the scales and guess what I have only lost 100g :eek: :( …. now im the first to say any loss is a good loss but when your expecting a 11/2 – 2 kg loss it’s a little disappointing. :mad: I shall be throwing these scales as far as I can friggen throw them lol at the moment that’s not far (maybe I will wait till I build up a bit of muscle ;) ). NOT HAPPY JAN. :mad:

1 orange juice (I found out today that 1 glass of orange juice has the same calories as 9 :eek: yes 9 oranges)

Some chicken and rice dish

Happy birthday. Any loss is a good one. Congrats. So sorry about your scale. I think mine lies as well, but then don't they all!
 
Thank you meshellibel, yes im not happy with those scales but not to worry there’s always next week ;) . Good luck with your week this week :) . I got on the bike and did 20min last night. :D
 
I just noticed that you're on Weight Watchers. Have you stuck to it and really followed it strickly? Also, do you have any pros and cons? And, how much have you lost/how long you been on it?

I'm thinking of joining in a few months...
 
Happy birthday to you rosered! It's quite a coincidence considering my own birthday is the 28th of this very month.... :D May you have a wonderful new year busting with betterness (if that is a word :p ) I'll be turning 19 myself.... :cool:

Hi chunky soup, to answer your questions…..

Have you stuck to it and really followed it strictly?
I have stuck to it most of the time; I like to have a few beers so it slows my process down a fair bit. If I did exactly what I was supposed to do I would have lost a lot more weight. I also miss breakfast on occasion and I no it doesn’t help.

Do you have any pros and cons?
Umm I feel a lot healthier, the food is easy to prepare and can be given to the whole family. Most of the people at ww are lovely and will do anything to help you out. You have a lot of people in the same situation as you that no how you feel so it’s easy to ask questions without feeling like a fool lol. You don’t have to tell anyone your weight. It’s easy to follow.

It drives me nuts counting points, it’s in my head all the time and not just my points either I can be sitting down having a meal with someone and in my head im counting there points as well lol. Other than that I have had no problems.

And, how much have you lost/how long you been on it?
I have been going for 14 weeks I think and I have lost 9.3kg

Jules is also going to ww and she looks like she is doing really well she may also have some advice for you on ww. I hope this helps.
