Rebel's Diary

Calories still a bit too low but otherwise it all sounds very nice :)

Yea i can tell. All my energy has left town. Ill c what tomorrow has in store 4 me.

Everything is going pretty well. Feel really drained though. It could be the reduction in calories or the bipolar thing.
Im getting good support from my family. They never took my need to lose weight very seriously. I guess when they heard my doctor tell me lose weight or id be dead in six months it changed them. They are so supportive now.
I still havent had many cravings. Well except that i would kill for a glass of absinthe. I really miss my black jellybean silly drink.

Get your calories up at to at least 2000 kcal a day, hon. Probably more if you´re starting off at a high weight, but 2000 should be the absolute minimum. Especially if you´ve got additional health issues you really don´t want to be putting unnecessary stress on your body/brain. I´m sure you´ll feel better for eating properly!

Yes i agree. Im at 500lbs so 800-1200 calories is more probably starvation mode. There just aren't many calories in whole unprocessed foods. Ill look into some good grains that wont mess with my sugar too bad. Dunno Ill figure it out.

Hey rebel! Just wanted to say that I admire the will that you are putting in this! Keep up with the great job! And I second what the girls were saying earlier, don't go below 2000 kcal, better start slow and get your body used to it.

hey rebel, i have a question.. the diet you are doing was given by a doctor or you are just counting calories by yourself?
do you feel hungry with it? im asking cause i used to go to a weight loss centre and the diet was super easy and you actually eat a lot, and it worked for all weights and body shapes.

the only hard thing is NO CARBS, at all. but its for a limited time until you lose a significant amount of weight and then you start introducing carbs slowly, to maintain.

it goes like this:

breakfast: coffee with milk, and a small bowl with one fruit and a small yogurt.
snack in between: a fruit
lunch: a small bowl of soup (always, yes or yes) and then your main dish goes like this: half of your plate should be a salad, and the small centre of the plate should be protein.
snack in between: coffee with milk, and a small bowl with one fruit and a small yogurt.
dinner: same as lunch.

this according to latin american meal schedule (breakfast around 7 am, snack around 10, lunch around 1, second snack around 5, dinner around 8 or 9 pm) but you can modify the order.

i lost 10 kg in three months, and i swear its difficult only the first two weeks, then you get used to it and dont have cravings at all. to me it worked cause is simple.

just an extra idea to keep in mind.

you are doing great btw.

Good morning
I wasnt exactly put on a special diet by my doctor. After she told me that if i didnt lose weight i was going to die. She wasnt quite that cold about it but told me the weight is putting too much of a strain on my heart and the simple carbs wasn't helping the diabetes.
We talked about all the diets I've been on over the years and how they just simply left me feeling starved.
So because of the diabetes i cut out raw sugars and limit things like bread and potatoes and pasta. I still take in carbs but only the ones found in veggies and fruit. Then meat is fine because most is good for you at least b4 the addition of sauces and marinades. I have never had any problems with cholesterol so meat and eggs are fine. We discovered most of the foods i like to eat are pretty low in calories. All the calories I've been taking in came from sugars. Cokes a sweets of that nature.
I dont feel deprived or hungry at all. Im eating large amounts of food and that carries me till my next meal. I do miss things like cokes and pasta and bread but its not really a craving that i have to have it now. (Well other than mexican food because if i dont get some soon im just going to die lol.) I just love those and wouldnt mind having it again. So im still eating food i love. I just cut out all the things that i dont need.
Thanks for stopping by :)
