Rebel's Diary

Yeah your calories were way lowwww yesterday. What's the plan for today lovely?
Yea i know. I think i understand why every vegetarian i ever met has been super skinny lol. There just arent many calories in whole unprocessed foods.
Today prob some eggs and turkey bacon. Then i took some wild caught samon out of the deep freeze. Brussels sprouts with pancetta with a little olive oil butter spread for a butter sauce just to remind my taste buds im still alive lol. Probab a bowl or two of soup. But even with all that itll be tough to break 1500 calories. Ill add it up in a bit to check it out.

Try not to go under 2000 unless you're acutely sick. Your body is working hard to keep you alive and needs more than just stored energy. If you're having trouble with that: nuts and seeds can help you bridge a couple of hundred calories scarily easy.

You know i never even thought about nuts. Great idea.
Thank you

Rebel, I just did a quick Youtube search for low impact, beginner workouts - There's actually a bunch for people who can't exercise standing up right now. I think there's an exercise for everyone to be honest - just finding it.

This is the Youtube Link for one -

The awesome thing is that you don't have to do it all at once. Do a minute or two - take a break. Do another minute or two, take a break. Build yourself up slowly. If you can activate your muscles a bit more, you're going to be shedding calories even faster but you're going to be amping up your metabolism too! This will help you keep the weight off long term without meds.

I do Fitness Blender workouts and still can't keep up with them all. Sometimes, I just lay on the floor after the 6th round of pushups and watch hoping that some of their energy is miraculously transferred over to me - it hasn't worked yet but I have hope!

Nuts are a good way of boosting your calories. Raw almonds are so good for you. Unfortunately I like nuts a little bit too much. They can be very moreish. I love the support you are getting Rebel. This is a good place!

Yea i like the few people I've met and it really seems to help. Its nice here think ill stay awhile.

Have you considered having full-fat yogurt with fresh/frozen berries instead of ready-made stuff? Since you´re having trouble eating enough real food it might be another little step in the right direction. Berries have quite a bit of dietary fiber compared to their sugar content. Otherwise and unrelated to anything: I love Brussels sprouts.

Bet your weight will have dropped just from those 2 days of low cals! You're not eating enough - I third the nuts and seeds suggestion. Have you been feeling hungry?

Ill check into the full yogurt when i run out of the ones i have here on hand. I love berries of all kinds and here in texas they are all available year round. Thats a really good idea thanks.
Yea i really love brussels sprouts. I really like all veggies but those i could eat everyday. The only hard part is here in the south we put gobs of butter in most of our veggies so just one tablespoon is an adjustment

Yea i may have lost a little bit. I try not to really think about it. Ill find out in 2-3 weeks when i get a scale. When i do weigh ill have been eating this way for just under a month and i hope to see a big drop in weight.
I picked up some cooking pecans. I mean to say no salt or sugar added just half pecans in bag. They are about 190 cals for 20. That will help boosing my cals some.
I havent been hungry at all. Im not really use to eating breakfast or lunch so im not really hungry at those times. In the past years it would be sweet drinks till dinner time then a huge dinner and several snacks at night(sweet of course) so i guess eating at times that i didnt in the past keeps me from feeling hungry.

You´re making so many positive changes. I´m impressed!

Its been easier than i thought it would b. I guess since im not really on a strict diet i dont feel deprived. I dont really have any cravings that i have to fight off but its feels strange not having a coke in my hand constantly. Not having starches in my meals seem odd as well. I have always been a big bread potatoes pastas eater.

Thanks for your support

Well everything has been going just fine well except that i think i triggered some sort of detox or maybe im just getting rid of a lot of water. Either way it can stop at any time..........

Sounds like you are making some great positive changes!! Just some more random ideas about what to eat, if you need more suggestions: I follow a higher protein diet as well, to maintain my weight. Some other things that I add to my day - roasted veggies or salads (with healthy salad dressings - Bolthouse Farms avocado cilantro - swoon). I love tomato-cucumber-red onion-avocado salad (or I do goat cheese instead of avocado) - with a 2-1 red wine vinegar/olive oil dressing - i will make the tomato cucumber salad and have that over spinach, no additional dressing needed! If you haven't tried roasted broccoli or cauliflower with a little bit of olive oil and s&p - please try it! So much better eating veggies roasted. Great job making changes so far and keep it up!

Hey Rebel,

Great job counting your calories! Looks like you're eating pretty healthy to me. I've also started counting calories. Fortunately, in my province a new law was just passed requiring all restaurants to label calories on all foods! Yay! Good luck on your journey

Here in texas most fast food and the larger restaurants list their calories. I use one of the apps that lets u put in name brands and lets you adjust the serving size. It really helps. Im eating as natural as possible and those foods dont have many calories but i still like to know how many im taking in.
Best of luck to u

Rebel
