I still am a firm believer that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
I once had a male approach me and state, "Man baby you are fine; but you need to gain some weight! You would look soo much better thicker!"
I didn't know if I should take it as a compliment or an insult!
I agree with what I have in bold.
I know one thing for certain. You can take the most beautiful person on the outside in the skin, and if they are biologically and psychologically (personality, etc) thin on the inside, they can be the most horribly ugly person in the world, and no amount of outer beauty can cover that crap up.
I do not allow other persons in this world to "taint" the perception of myself. I just take a good "wiff" of the air, and realize, "oh hell" that comment comes from a base that stinks too because we both stink with the imperfection taboo.
