Put that down, fatty! (again!)

Thank you, loveliest of ladies. I do my bit <3

I was beastly last night. I finished my work placement yesterday and they gave me a bottle of fizz and some vouchers which was lovely. So I got home and drank the entire thing like old Hana would have done and then ate two packets of crisps, dinner and all of the cheese. ALL OF THE CHEESE. I've been at Uni all day today which was dull as dishwater and me and Yank just got back from seeing our new house again. Feeling very excited. Having dinner now and watching Twin Peak in my pants. Hoping to get up at 3:30am to go and see the sunrise over the beach - will see what weather is like. Calories for yesterday were around 2200 but I walked 15,000 steps. LaMa - you're right, of course, but I see anything over 1700 as a bit of a fail day.. although I know different.
LaMa is right. Coming out of full-on diet mode is a major adjustment to be made. I stayed in it for a long while, but it is so easy to start slipping back into old habits. Drinking the fizz(or too much alcohol of any sort) definitely leads to eating nearly whatever gets put in front of you. I did the same last night! I wasn't driving, I had 4 glasses of wine & hot chips came out as part of supper! Not good! I hate the feeling next day when you feel that you have let yourself down. 2 glasses is meant to be my self-imposed limit.
I am excited for you & Yank about your house. How far away is settlement day?

Congratulations on the new house! What's your favourite part about it?

And try not to stress about the occasional binge. I read somewhere that eating more calories every now and then can give your metabolism a bit of a boost because it stops it from settling into a slow burn routine. I don't know if that's true or not but I've definitely lost weight whilst having cheat days before! :) The fizz sounds so nice and who can resist cheese?!

I took a page out of your book and have been making curry. Chicken or beef or chickpeas or just some random veggies. I found you can curry just about anything. Should have warned me curry was so addictive ;)
The only thing that would make it better would b some rice but i dont eat rice anymore. With the curry dishes i really miss it.
Congrats again on the new house.

Hello hello Hello!! Long long time no see! It's Redpiggy from way back when!

Thought I'd pop on and see if any familiar faces were still around and here you are still :D:D
And looking absolutely fantastic I may add!

I totally just looked at old posts and realised I've not really been active on here in like 6 years

Wish I could say I've had the same success as you in the meantime but alas I have not!

Wonderful to see how well you're doing and especially with your job and degree and volunteering. I've recently bought a house too and its incredibly stressful but rewarding.

I hate the feeling next day when you feel that you have let yourself down.
I know that feeling well. Hoping in time I'll learn to forgive myself a bit! Moving date should be early Sept but we shall see..

Congratulations on the new house! What's your favourite part about it?
Thanks hun! I love the kitchen - it's much bigger than what we have and has a built in oven and spice rack and stuff. Can't wait to cook in it!

Rebel - haaha, glad you are enjoying the curry. I have converted you! It's so tasty. I'm back on salads now as it's so hot but I do love my curries, especially ones in the slow cooker!

Redpiggy! You're back! Welcome, welcome. Look forward to supporting you on your new attempt! It's taken me many to get where I am and still got a long way to go..maintaining feels just as difficult as losing at the moment!

----------------------

Was my first day back to the old job today - was lovely being back and rang a few new clients which was nice. I have 3 new Syrian refugee boys between 16-18. One is covered in scars all over his back.. poor little lamb. Can't wait to start getting involved with them and finding them some housing and emotional support. Had salad for lunch, calories likely to be a little low today but won't hurt after all the cheese and fizz of the weekend! Alcohol free day yesterday too which felt good (although not at the time..having a nice dinner without wine still feels very uncomfortable!)

Work all okay today - having some difficulty with a woman who has just started in my team who is on the defensive all the time.. She has a couple of my old cases and seems like she's trying to compete with me..letting it play out in case she's just unsure because I'm back and she doesn't know me.

Right, food for yesterday.

Hello lovelies - yes it was a gorgeous weekend after a stress free Friday at home (study day). I've been in London all weekend staying at my sisters which was really nice. We went to Vauxhall City Farm (a farm in the middle of the city!) and fed alpacas and pigs and baby goats. It was very sweet. Then did the Imperial War museum, ate out for lunch and went to a comedy club in the evening. I did 25,000 steps yesterday but calories must have been round 2700 with all the drinking/eating out. Today I've hit my 10,000 and am just doing meal prep with yank. I've made big salads with sweetcorn, peppers, lettuce, celery and a few croutons and I've made some lime, chilli chicken breast to heat up at work and put over the salad. very excited for lunch tomorrow! I'm also going back to the gym tomorrow! I think I've hit a bit of a plateau with the weight loss so going to introduce some more exercise. First day tomorrow! Will be back later tonight to log food for today - should be around 1500 and a no alcohol day :D

Sounds like a lovely few days Hana. Gym, 1500 cals & no alcohol? Has to be a winner!

Thank you lovely women! Not been to the gym yet, Cate - braving it tonight! Have just had my delicious salad for lunch and am escaping work a little early to head for my workout. Money is really tight again (can't wait to be in this fucking house and have disposable income again!) so I'm using a free pass for the week and will join properly next week. Although it's only £12.99 a month which is really cheap..

Calories for yesterday were 1500 as planned - aiming for less tonight but we'll see. Happy Monday, folks!

Not got a move in date yet, LaMa. Searches should begin this week (drainage, planning permissions etc) and then we'll know more. Whole thing is taking ages. Got a cheque from my Grama today because I got 97% on my last essay..she's adorable. So we will not starve, at least ;)

Gym was good today, if a little awkward. I always feel really out of place and like people are looking at me. I know they're not.. it just feels very uncomfortable to me. The chap who did my induction offered to show me around and help using the machines and I said, for no apparent reason, "I don't really like men." No idea why I said that. I was so, so awkward and I didn't want him seeing me on the machines so I blurted out that I didn't like men. WHY DID I SAY THAT. WHAT DID I MEAN?! WHY?!

So now he thinks I'm a big ol' lesbian. Which I may well be after seeing all the gorgeous women doing spin this evening.. I felt like something that had been harpooned out of the ocean and they were all glistening, lithe creatures. Still, felt good to work out and I did a decent hours worth.

3rd July
Breakfast: alpen bar (65)
Lunch: salad with lime chicken (335)
Dinner: peppers, mushrooms, onion, chorizo and cous cous and tiny bit of halloumi (571)
Snacks: glass of wine, few crackers with low-fat cream cheese (297)

Total: 1268
Steps: 16,000 and 20 mins on bike
