Weight-Loss Pick Your Poison Challenge For November

Weight-Loss
8.6lbs lost since 1st of Nov. Need a loss of 1.4lbs by Sunday 30/11 to reach my weight loss goal.
 
31/44, doing better again. Have had a tiny bit of chocolate yesterday and again today and I´m so happy about being able to stop after that tiny little bit even though more is present in my appartment that I´m going to give myself the point anyway :D

The Gauntlet begins on Thursday, though. I can skip the soda, but trying to fit in exercise between extra helpings of summer sausage and stuffing will be tricky!
 
42/46 We are tied LJ as I didn't get much done on Saturday.

All 4 points have been exercise based as I've stayed at or below 2,300 each day.

I'm down to 278.6 from 287.8 on the 1st (-9.2 lbs)

The gauntlet begins today for me. Work's non-traditional thanksgiving lunch is today. Cousin's house Wednesday and parents Thursday.
 
Appreciate the offer, Q, but I'm generally logging in from work, where we use IE8, and all grownup responsibilities/capabilities have been removed by our IT friends.
 
That stinks LJ. You could claim wasted bandwidth, increased virus risk, and distraction and see if they will do it for you, but that's inviting them to scrutinize your browsing habits. The browser choice makes me doubt their level of concern for user satisfaction.



^Firefox portable can be run from a USB without install, but you might still be violating your companies IT rules. Proceed with caution and/or befriend an IT person.
 
Yeah - a friend in IT, unless it was someone at a director level, still wouldn't do much good, I work at a big-ass company with a pretty significant IT infrastructure. Point is - it would take an act of congress to get admin rights to my machine, and there's not much chance that "cuz I wanna lose weight without seeing pics of Mama June" would be a viable reasoning to get those rights!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm still having a REALLY hard time accessing this site on my laptop because my antivirus program keeps blocking it. It's honestly too much work to have to type everything on my phone (texting isn't my thing) so I have to keep trying until my antivirus program lets me in.

So last week, I had a good week. Could've been better food wise, but I got good exercise in. My food intake the weekend was atrocious! I'm not going to dwell on it though. My weigh in was horrible as well. There is no way I'm going to make my goal this month, BUT for those interested I will be doing another "pick your challenge" in December. I'm finding it does help. :)

LJ can pass me up by hitting both points today. I have a valid excuse. I skipped running today to take a quick break before 36 days of running at least a mile every day. I could have gotten up and done yoga or lifted so I deserve to lose the point. I may go over calories tomorrow so that will be another point if I do. I will end up at 55 or 54 out of 60 depending on tomorrow.

Tomorrow should be 47/52. What ya gonna do LJ?

I'm hoping the weight isn't awful on the 30th after tomorrow pig out. More incentive to reign it in a bit.

Skipping the soda is easy. The exercise tonight, also easy. Tomorrow... I'll either be up super early to do a mediocre row, or I'll have to shovel snow. I feel like that should be a lyric. I think I can roll through the month with a score of 56 out of 60 if I have time on Friday to do something. That's good. But I'm also reading it as: December's PYP will need something trickier than skipping soda...
 
1. Getting up earlier for AM workouts. I may not work out every day, but I can still get the point for getting up early because it is as much about having time to get stuff done before work kicks my butt than it is about getting a workout in. This really only applies to weekdays so the point will be earned on Saturday and Sunday by accomplishing a specific task or workout. e.g. a load of laundry, yard work, or yoga even when I have other stuff to do too.

25 out of 30 points for this.

2. 2,300 calories maximum or whatever adjusted calories are required to maintain a healthy rate of weightloss. I don't mind going under, but I try to eat a minimum of 2,000 as anything less isn't currently healthy for me or my level of activity.

28 out of 30 points for this. Thanksgiving day and the day before it I went over 2,300.

53 out of 60 for the month.


Weight goal:

I'm 287.2 this morning. I'm going with a tad over 2 pounds a week average for 278 at the end of the month.

281.6 this morning still on holiday indulgence revovery from 278.6 before Thanksgiving. So I'm 3.6 lbs above goal this morning, but i was .6 lb above before my pig out.

I'm pleased with my results this month. December will have running every single day so coupling that with 2,300 every day until xmas eve and December should be a good month too with a rebound at the end from holiday indulgence. Thanks again mandy for doing this! It was fun and helpful!

What a week! I live in NH where we got whacked by a little bit of wet, heavy snow which caused power outages statewide. Our power went out at around 1:38am (that's when I woke up and it was already out) and we didn't get it back on until late yesterday. Needless to say we had a very untraditional Thanksgiving! Our meal consisted of burgers on the grille. All in all, we did make the best of it, but we are planning a do over meal. During the outage I couldn't do much and keeping track of points wasn't top priority so I decided to throw in the towel in THIS challenge. It was clear you guys kicked my butt anyway, so no big deal! :)

Does everyone have their totals calculated?

I'll be starting a Pick Your Poison challenge thread for December next as long as my laptop allows me to do so. :)

So in other words....I was drunk about half the month lol :D

lost 11.4 lbs this month tho!
 
Exercise points: 26/30

Goal for the month: go in an extra belt notch. I had it a couple/three days last week, but by yesterday I was back out, so I didn't meet it. Oh well...

wg1 became a habit really fast, wg2 is a very weak and lazy spot for me. Around 9.7 lbs lost, maybe a bit more but since I had lots of nuts and my father's really salty chicken soup late Saturday I skipped Sunday's weigh in.
