Weight-Loss Pick Your Poison Challenge For November

Weight-Loss
Initially I figured 1 point for weight loss goals, but I was also thinking weekly weigh ins. It didn't register with me that some people may prefer going by clothes measurements instead. Where this is a monthly challenge and there are 4 weeks in a month, maybe an additional 4 points at the end of the month for reaching your goal weight/measurement. Does that sound fair to everyone?

My weekend summary. I really wasn't expectingto get my early morning points over the weekend. It's my sleep in time which I cherish. LOL I did still get some exercise in by walking and a lot of cleaning so i did still lose some calories. :)

My other points were covered so that makes me and my dogs happy.

Tomorrow morning is MY big test. In order to get my workout in, I have to get up at 4:30am which I'm dreading, but I'm really going to fight the urge to hit that snooze button!

I hope you get up early Mandy :D

I'm already Down 1,2 kg (2,6 lbs) since Saturday, did 15 km biking in a hilly area and walked 4,5 km brisk yesterday. Did home-exercise Saturday, but not Sunday. I have ordered my favorite yoga cd and hope it comes home soon cause my exercise apps are so boring and I have no motivation for it right now. But thats 2 points 1. nov and 1 point 2. nov. Am very good at weakness goal 1, I stay of the couch and get lots of Thingsdone like mending bikes, clothes, toys and so, I stewed some apples, been outside alot and now I am off to the kitchen to stew more apples and clean before running some errands.

Well... it's 5:39am where I live and I've just completed a workout!! Woo Hoo!! Got my exercise point for today!! :D

Lots of good stuff going on in this thread! Mandy, your early mornings are SO much earlier than mine! I was driving to the gym and you were already done. Great job!

Awesome work everybody!

Mandy I did my first early morning run today. I started about the time you finished. Great job!

Wow big loss Clarissa!

Cate I also know Telestich.

A short
form of the
poem in which all
of the
last letters
of lines spell out
a word. I
realized that "stic" is the emic
unit. Hah!

2 points: That may be the worst "poem" ever and I know a random useless junk.

Keep up the great work everyone!

All of us got our early mornings in, yay! And I drank lots of water before and after the gym, which is a first. I could tell by my mad dash to the bathroom once I got to work that my body wasn't used to all that early morning hydration, haha.

Last night I found myself already making excuses for not working out this morning. I knew I would tired. I knew I would be sore. This morning my alarm went off. I hit the snooze button once. Got up and let the dogs out. Stood there thinking about taking myself up on one of those excuses. Then I realized how pathetic it was. I NEED to break that cycle. I DID do my workout so I got my point. :)

I almost didn't exercise yesterday - a lot of mayhem at home on Mondays, and I'm usually exhausted by 8. I had a goodly amount of excuses not to do it, but after laying down for 15 minutes, I felt a little more refreshed and rowed 350 calories away.

No soda yesterday, either, didn't want it. Today could be a little different, though I'm not sure why.

Got up early today although the extra 90 minutes of sleep would have been great. Didn't work out but cleaned the kitchen, threw some laundry in, and did a few other chores around the house. And chugged water while I was doing it all!

Running totals through Nov 4:
Early morning wakeups/workouts: 2
Early morning water intake: 4

Doing good at W-goal 1 every day so far, but have only did W-goal 2 at the 1st soo... My yoga book with a cd has arrived in the store and I will pick it up tomorrow and hopefully get down with it. At the floor :p So 5 out of 8 points for me.

You ppl are rockin'!

I got my predawn run in again this morning (2.17 miles). Everyone is doing great!

Oaks I plan on using the early mornings as productivity time too. As soon as I feel a need for a rest day it will be chore time.

Clarissa I hope you enjoy the yoga. You can also try Yoga with Adriene. I like her and she has a lot of free videos for all levels of yoga. Very soothing and descriptive. She is always giving options and focusing on yoga for you as an individual. It might take you a while to pickup the southern drawl/dialect, but her's is fairly mild.

Happy everyone is doing so well with this. I really like being able to pick your own weaknesses to work on. Already thinking of doing another next month. :)

Only one point today, bought a bar of chocolate and ate half of it, but really hit my glutes so I now have 7 points after 4 days!

Well I've had no wine so far! But I haven't done any yoga. Currently a bit under the weather so I've not really been able to!

well done everyone on the start of the challenge :)

No exercise points this morning. Woke up to both dogs feeling under the weather so I was on "mom" duty trying to help them. Will still try to get a workout in this afternoon though.

Far under calories yesterday, 40 minutes of yoga this morning, and a 2.2 lb loss to 284.4.

I wanted to run again, but the cold rain changed my mind.

Poor doggies! Hope they feel better soon. I´m amazed to find I managed my no-sweet-treat-point today! My glutes don´t ache too much (yet) either, so I now have 9 points out of five days. Should I decide to weigh in on the first of december I just want to be under 80 kg. That´s not worth 4 points I guess, but I´d give myself 2. Not sure I want to weigh in though, so I might just stick with the daily points.

First (and hopefully last) challenge fail yesterday. Was planning on rowing, but I was feeling disgusting, so I opted out. I'm hoping to double up today and go for a good lunchtime walk, but that's just to make up for a calorie over-run yesterday.
