yeah i was my left side...you dont really think about sunscreen on the ears! but if you have fair skin its important.. im glad they cut this thing off i dont want cancer..but it itches like hell! I cant wait to get this bandage off next friday!

I do have fair skin too. Every time I put sunscreen on my ears, it is so hard to rub in it where you can't see it. Nice shiny ears.

I bet it itches! I had a mole biopsy last year and the mole was itchy for days.
 
Since this is a competition primarily about weight loss, I thought it was time to post everyone's weight loss results!

Everyone has lost weight, so far this challenge been a success!

Perhaps these scores will motivate some of us to step it up in the final stretch. :willy_nilly:

hey guys... sorry i had to sit out of points this week but I did watch my food while I couldnt exercise and lost some weight anyways! I dont know how MJ is gonna do the points since I sat out and maybe my weight change wont count but I weighed in at 155 today! I get the rest of my stiches out on Thursday! I cant wait to get back to the gym!

I think there are a few other people who, if they are completely honest, aren't planning on going so... if you're not planning on going, please drop out now so that we can plan rooms. No hard feelings will be felt by anyone if you decide to quit now. Just post here or PM me that you're out.
If you're definitely going to Vegas, I need a check or money order for the room amount by October 3rd. I will be booking ALL the rooms on October 4th. If I get a better deal on the rooms, I will give you back the extra money in Vegas.

This weeks bonus challenge is worth a whopping 14 points, (2 points max per day).

Each day that you post in your team thread, give yourself 1 point.

Hey Playmates!! Let's have a great week this week. I know all of us have been struggling lately but it's a new week and there is no better time to get right back on the wagon w/our diet and exercise. Let's stay focused and get some weight off!! OUUUU!!
 
I think there are a few other people who, if completely honest, aren't planning on going either so...

I think most people will show? Everyone has worked so hard so far. I see it in the points! I think there are many people, like me, that really want to lose weight and are benefiting from being part of something bigger than themselves. Of course we all want to lose weight for ourselves, but it is nice to have a support network too. That's what brought us to the forum to begin with. We all know challenges are meant to be tough.

Getting to celebrate and party with people who supported you along your weight loss journey is just the bonus! We may not work as hard as the Biggest Loser contestants, but we have all stepped up and stuck with this for 3 months so far! We have two months left, and a lot can happen in that time. Some serious poundage could be gone by Vegas!

This challenge has been like a great reality TV show, only it's not TV, it's real and we are living it right now. Our show even has disagreements along the way, triumphs, losses, and in the end, weight loss victory! Our awards ceremony is going to be in the best adult playground in the US! There isn't a more perfect place to celebrate.

For fun, I wrote a little intro to this episode in our lives.

WLF VEGAS CHALLENGE 2008 INTRO

12 strangers, from all different parts of the country, come together and form virtual friendships, build teams, and challenge themselves to lose some weight and become more physically fit, over a 5 month period.

Along the way, there are bumps in the road, and some people give up, but in the end, the strong stay the course!

The teams all come together to finish up the challenge in the city of Las Vegas! Finally meeting in person, these people have an instant connection, and really have a great weekend! Everyone is celebrating their hard work, and healthier bodies with people who know the sacrifice and dedication it took to get there.

For the rest you'll have to wait and see... lol

Oh, and of course... "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

We still have 2 months left until Vegas! Time to step up and step out!!
 
HAHA nice commentary MJ! u are too funny.. I am defiantly still in for Vegas.. This challenge has really motivated me to start a healthier lifestyle and I have started exercising nearly every day again which I hadn't been doing for about 2 years.. Even if I don't lose as much weight as I want to that is an accomplishment in itself...

I hope everyone else is still on board for Vegas.. I know everyone is kind of in a slump right now with things going on in their personal lives... (i have a TON going on personally- see my diary for more..) I think once it gets closer to Vegas time everyone is gonna step it up and really drop those last few lbs.. i know for me personally I am going to get a lot more serious in the last month!! Thats just the way I roll :) I cant wait to meet all of you and see how far you guys have come as well...

Sorry to hear about the death in your family. My condolences.

I know your mind is probably not on points right now, but I noticed you posted on the forum almost every day last week, and even on Friday, but never posted any points at all during the week. I know this because I was searching away for anything with points on it to help out the Playmates.

Just want to remind you and anyone else reading this, that events come up unexpectedly, and posting your points during the week, will help out the team, in the event you can't post anything, or have an emergency to tend to.

Sensa- If you want to take this week off from points while you are preoccupied with the family, let me know, and I will average the team with 3 players this week.

Take as much time as you need. Let me know either way what you want to do.

Well wasn't exactly planning on dealing with funeral stuff....I tried to get back into the swing of things the other day and tried posting in my diary it just wasn't there yet....Today I kinda set the goal that I need to get back on track because that'll be what's best for me...to focus on other things I just feel kinda bad like I let people down but my head and heart just haven't been in much...I can't promise 100% right now but I can promise that I'm going to try...I'm just trying to cope, recover, and pick up the pieces

Thanks! I feel the same way. We've all formed some healthier habits these last 13 weeks of the competition. I hope we can keep it going after Vegas!! The good habits that is. It's so easy to skip a workout when no one is looking. lol

We've already missed your point submission for the last two weeks and our team score has really suffered from it. I'm sure you were earning some points but by not submitting we took a zero for you 2 weeks in a row...I want to make sure we can still remain a contender for the "team" challenge (vs individual).

Please let us know what your intentions are for this week. We are here to support you and encourage you.

I'm not really up for doing the venting talk about my feelings thing right now...but I want to say thanks for the support. I'll be posting points this week. What I meant by I can't promise 100% is that I'm not in a place to be cheerleading right now. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but I'm just trying to stay afloat and get things back on track.

Hang in there and don't worry about the cheerleading. 2 years ago I lost both of my grandparents 10 days apart and my husband (now ex) had a serious surgery during that time. I know how difficult it is to grieve the loss of grandparents and also try to function at the same time and take care of others.

Take care of yourself and let us know what we can do to help :)

awwww this one SUCKS.....I was in VEGAS......out of town til today.....BOOOOOOO.......no computer, no posting....LOL :( sorry TEAM.....
 
I'm guessing we'll book our room this week. I will be in the middle of month end close at work so unfortunately I have to fly in Friday night or early Saturday morning. I'm getting excited though...it's right around the corner!!

I think you all know my left shin and my right ankle are really bothering me from my marathon training. I've decided to take a few days off this week from exercising to rest up for my 18 mile run this Saturday. This means my points are going to be unusually low. I'm sorry ladies...I am in pain and I'm doing the best I can to try to squeeze in breaks for my legs between my long runs.

I'll try to at least do weights for the other body parts and maybe some pilates...but not sure yet. Hope to be on track soon!!

Diet is good, sleep is good, water intake is good....hopefully I can loose some weight this week!!
