Pacoltmaki's Weight Loss Diary

I love frozen mango cubes, sadly my grocery store decided they´re a summer product only :( I used to do the banana/egg pancakes as well but now I´m allergic to banana so that´s a thing of the past. Try making them with blueberries as well, they go great with it. Not much of a smoothie person but right now I have dried mango slices with 5 or 6 cashews as a go to snack. Delicious!

Oh, that's a shame about the mango cubes and the banana allergy! Didn't know that you can be allergic to bananas. I'll try with the blueberries. Cashews and pistachios and haselnuts - yumm! I measure them now, otherwise I can eat a 1000 kcal worth of them.. :)

I´m pretty sure it´s possible to be allergic to everything and for a time my body seemed to be trying to collect them all. May actually go back to trying to desensitize myself to banana now that my seasonal allergies aren´t active.

It sounds awful about collecting so many allergies, I hope you'll get better!

75.2kg. It's not ideal but not bad, haven't been in the 76s since Monday. I might get close to 74s by tomorrow, there is a chance. Yesterday I had an omlette for breakfast with grilled mushroom and zucchini. Had an orange and haselnuts for snack. We baked gingerbread with the kids, wasn't even a struggle not to have a bite. I also baked a lemon cake with almond for my son who doesn't like gingerbread and again, no struggle to stay away from it.
For lunch I had chicken breast and the Asian veg mix with soy sauce. I don't put cheese on anything anymore, and had a half portion only. For dinner had the rye crispbread with butter and salt, tomato and cucumber, and an orange later.

Not too bad, reached all the macros except fiber as usual and sugar was under, yaaay.

It seems like my weight is slowly creeping down but I would like to see some bigger drop just to motivate me because I start to feel bored and impatient and want to be at my goal. So today I will go out walk/jogging and will get a bar tomorrow and will start adding exercise, I have to stop finding excuses.

Also obviously no wine yesterday, the scare of Friday is still there. I'm hoping to get rid of alcohol for good but my social life (when there had been one once upon a time) was always in pubs with bear and wine.

I think it´s normal to be impatient, but at the same time when you lose weight slowly and have fun while doing so you´re practicing for maintenance. Losing weight quickly is rewarding and thrilling but then once you stop doing what you do you´re likely to regain it.

You are so right! And I keep telling myself that I was "working" on gaining all this extra weight for 3 years, so to lose it in 1 year would be a victory. I'll just have to start adding the workouts to develop a habit of that too.

BP 177/95. My BP has always been normal except for once at my first pregnancy in the 40th week. That scared me a lot, quickly started drinking water for the rest of the evening and got back to 120/80
I've never heard of drinking a bunch of water to lower bp--is that a common thing?

Yesterday's report sounds awesome--staying away from the sugar, the wine, the cheese! Way to go!

I started drinking water to get rid of the alcohol rather than to lower my BP, but it did bring it down or it just went down by itself regardless of water. :)

Staying away from all these things is rewarding, down to 74.4kg this morning!!

So, 74.4kg!!! I started this diary at 77 on Nov 2. I have exactly 4 weeks before the Christmas holiday and 4.5 kgs to lose. If I get close to that, I'll be happy.

In September I used to put on running clothes and shoes right away in the morning, took the kids to school (the school is 4mins walking from our place) and go running right after drop off to the woods, which is right behind the school. It worked until I overdid it. I'll start the same routine, otherwise once I'm back home, the last thing I want is to go out again. I also looked at some jumprope challanges but I fear that my knies are not ready for that, so maybe with less weight I'll give it a try.

Oh, and Monday morning my coffee machine brakes down... Luckily I was asleep by 10pm so it's ok, bought a cappuccino at the bakery while out with the dog and so instead of 3 coffees in the morning, I had 1.

Congratulations on another nice drop! Going running right after dropping the kids off sounds like a good idea to me but maybe you should start with either very short runs or three runs and two walks to avoid overdoing it again.

Thank you for the advice and I will definitely follow that. Main thing is I have to be outside and do something every day, otherwise I just stop doing anything at all.

Just back from running. 4.2km, 35mins. What a difference compared to when I last tried! I felt light and it went so easily! That's the - about5kg. Sunny autumn woods, running on leaves, my heart is full. At moments like this I don't understand what stops me from going out and run.

74.6kg. Had half a mozarella and tomato for breakfast without the olive oil. The suggested amount of fat barely lets me use any oil when I have any small amount of cheese anfd about 5 hazelnuts. So no olive oil on the mozarella, was not too tasty..
For lunch I had chicken breast with carrots, beans and onion, soy sauce. No oil, I steamed everything. Afternoon was unspeakably depressing, constant fights with my eldest, I'm looking forward to the first meeting with the psychologist tomorrow.

I'll walk today after drop off, so tomorrow I can have a run again.
