I'm telling you.....I hated all of those sit-ups today. Somedays there easy as pie and others--oy vey! I also use a machine, I absolutely hate getting on the floor and doing 'traditional' sit-ups--it always hurts my neck. So this machine is great for me.

At the moment my gut looks crazy. The sides are firming up first so I've got a big flabby mass of flesh in the front and smooth sides...I'm tellin' you, it ain't pretty. :) BUT!!!!!! It will be soon enough.

The part of my body that is the weirdest is the flab tire right above my butt. It's just plain ol' weird.

Can someone tell me what exactly is 'front butt'? Is it the flab that hangs from your gut?

Ewww! Why are people so descriptive with various areas of fat? I've never heard that term before, but I have heard people call that part of your stomach an "apron" and that always grosses me out.
 
I would like join the challenge for November too. I only want to lose 10lbs so hopefully it will work!! I think that we need to though another kicker in though, something like minutes of exercise for the month. How about 1300 minutes of exercise for the month of november, that's 60 min x 5 days x 4 weeks + 100 throw in minutes. How does that sound?

Its called the Apron or Pannius - often needs surgery to get rid of it if it hangs down distended like (ill probably get surgery to get rid of mine when i get down to my goal weight)
 
ok glitter, thanks for the suggestion, if that is alright with everybody else, we can do 1000 minutes to start off and then build up...lets see what everybody has to say :)
 
i love the addition of exercise minutes! and i think 1000 is a better number to start with, as most days my exercise total is about 40 minutes as opposed to 60.

gotta update the ticker, but i'm finishing up october with an already 5 lb loss! :-D hopefully this good trend will carry into and through november!
 
I'm starting Calorie Counting today, so hopefully by the end of November I can have at least 8 out of the 10 pounds down ! lol
 
Ok, I want in on this one!! I want sooo desperately to loose 10 by thanksgiving!!!

Ops sorry I forgot to post my weight goal!

I think I'm going to try for 10lbs. It may be a little ambisous but what the heck, it'll be great if I can do it!
 
I haven't been able to do 10 lbs in a month yet, so I don't want to set myself up for failure...so I'm aiming for 8 lbs gone in November! And I love the idea of trying for so many minutes of exercise in the month. New line in my signature!:D
 
Um.....so as we know 10 Pounds is a lot! lol

So just some "take it or leave it" advice.....
Everyone should start their exersize routines NOW so they can get into them, and not want to give up after being very stiff on November 2nd! You know.......?
It'll make things easier....

EDIT: How about we make groups of 3 within the people participating? Not for the overall tally but just for SUPPORT! Your two "members" should have to support you in your diary and you all check up on each other, you know? Just for an extra boost! Let me know....

Hey I think the groups thing is a good idea - just for a little more motivation and it would be cool to get to know some people better for new people like me!

Edit to add :: I like the idea of the exercise minutes too! :)

yea, i like partners better than groups. What do yall think? I also like exercise minutes, and yes, everyone should get into their exercise routines now! I jus bought the tae bo video too :) I hope it works, have yall eve rheard? oh, and how do yall want to go about assigning partnrs??? Similar weights?? Sounds good to me.
