Weight-Loss No binge, no purge - one day at at time.

Weight-Loss
Petal and Vic, good for you. I think you did alright too LaMa.
eating something sweet can be a trigger to want more
Me too, and eating something not sweet as well. I just have a problem stopping eating if there is more available. Tonight I had cheese and crackers, it was sure hard to stop eating the cheese.
Rob. Given the fact that your weightloss is still speeding along even after almost a year and even though you weigh so much less than you used to you must be burning a lot more calories through movement.
That certainly could be, I am surprised that my weight loss has not slowed.

Good luck on the fast Vic!

No binge here, and except for the cheese stopping problem no big urges.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

Well done all around!
I have some excellent blue cheese in the house atm and I could just scoff the lot. But for me it's still easier to portion that out and not go back for more than with something extremely sweet (especially if it's high-fat as well) or crunchy (like chips). I sit down with my cheese allowance, ten corn cakes, 50g of raw spinach, the sriracha bottle, and a little bowl of pickles, and it takes me almost an hour to prepare and eat ten perfect treats. I think the amount of time is kind of essential to me: it makes me feel like I've eaten a lot even if the whole feast is only around 450 kcal.

Well done all, and Nelly no binge in 2 months is great! Vic, sounds like your fast went well. LaMa good for you, and I can imagine joining you for that roast pig and ice cream cake! Glad you resisted.

No binge today, I did ok. I have 2 pieces of fried chicken (medium size wings), the first fried food I have had in a very long time. It felt a little odd, but all seems ok, and stayed within my calorie limit. I did get hungry today, but that was probably due to a late lunch, cravings not too bad.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

Well done Vic and Rob!
I haven´t got anything bingable left so as long as I don´t go shopping today I should be good. Might finish off the last of my fruit reserves though.

I ate a couple more corn cakes than planned but no binge. Feeling moderately confident I'll be able to go shopping tomorrow without stocking up for failure.

Good for you LaMa, no binge is always good.

No binge here, and no strong temptations. I did eat more cauliflower for lunch than usual, but not really a binge. Low cal too.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

Now I'm curious how much a normal veg portion is for you. *wanders off to find the required information in diary instead of waiting for answer*

Two cups of cauliflower is definitely not a lot in my kitchen :D

 I binged today. After the banana incident I just had the urge to stuff myself to move things along and it just so happened I´d bought discounted Easter chocolate, so... I´m now out of chocolate. But also the banana bit passed already and I´m feeling much better.

Good for you Vic!

LaMa, how much chocolate did you eat? What did your binge look like? Was it in part a rational reaction to the banana thing?
Now I'm curious how much a normal veg portion is for you.
I usually eat a lot of veggies, a 2 cup portion of something like broccoli or cauliflower are not unusual. Yesterday I probably had 3 or 4 cups of cauliflower for lunch. These are veggies I steam without any added butter or fat, so I don't really measure the calories seem too low to have to.

No binge today, but I took an evening nap and woke up hungry, I had a yogurt and crackers and cheese. I have a history of bingeing after a nap, I often awake hungry and maybe not entirely rational. Tonight I had enough calories left that it wasn't a problem on the day, but it did have a bit of the old feeling. I know I need to remain diligent.

Let's not binge tomorrow.

It wasn´t a traditional binge. I ate 4 small-to-medium chocolate bunnies over the course of 6 hours or so. One every time the nausea hit. Not going to happen today.

You definitely do, but it´s also time to up your calories again. You´re a grown guy and you´re pretty active these days. You´re burning 2500 kcal/day or more. I´d suggest having at least 1500 kcal/day, although you could up it by only 100 kcal/day once a week instead of all in one go if it makes you feel more comfortable. You won´t be putting on muscle as long as you´re on a deficit but if you eat a little more at least you won´t continue to lose as much muscle as you otherwise will.
