Margaret, I am so impressed with how good your memory is....especially since I was gone for a while :)

My eating yesterday was pretty bad--I volunteered for a few hours at my temple and the food there is just awful for you. I am volunteering again tonight and need to make sure I stay AWAY from it, or at least control my portion! I didn't exercise yesterday either. I plan to do a workout video today as my gym is closed until the 3rd.

Water has been okay for me, as I only need to drink about 65 ounces a day, which sadly I wasn't even doing due to all the soda/coffee I drink. Hopefully this will continue to keep me away from the soda!!!!!

second day in...i am in the same wagon with many other people... the water part is more than done, but the food part has been meh... damn holidays, damn!

I am doing so much better today with my food. For breakfast I had a banana and granola bar, For lunch I had a bowl of soup. Already went to the gym for an hour and will probably do situps and push ups tonight as well. Water will not be a problem as I almost have my daily requirement in already.

I'm doing pretty well today -- had a light omelet this morning made with egg substitute, 75% fat free cheese, onions, mushrooms and 1 slice of bacon broken into tiny pieces. For lunch I had a cup of homemade chili.

Was at the gym for about an hour and a half today, did a little over 10 minutes on the stationary bike (2.5 miles) then did my strength training, and finished up with 30 minutes on the elliptical (2 miles). Man was I sweaty. Burned 400 calories just on the elliptical, so I will estimate that I probably burned 500-600 calories total at the gym today.

I've had 75oz. of water today so far. I'm a little behind schedule but I'm sure I'll make it. :)

EDIT: I wound up drinking 166.9oz. of water today ... posting it here for tracking's sake since I've only been documenting it online, lol

Lookin good everyone! I did my 120oz water today and food was good. No exercise though. I work 930am-10pm on weekends so no workouts til tomorrow. I also have christmas with my little sister and her husband tomorrow so I've already pre-packed my food to take there. Keep up the good work everyone!

Just checking in for afternoon on day 3, water good, food a little under when I look at my averages and exercise is also good with some cardio over the weekend when I would usually rest during my off season.

Day 2: food- bad! exercise- good :) water- JUST drinking my last 5oz to make 135. Ugggh. I've been peeing every thirty two seconds. lol.

I try not to forget about my friends - just because I may not have been chatting with them for a while... Many people helped me on my journey and you have certainly been there for me over the years. :)

I hope that the temple temptations were handled ok - and that you got in your exercise as you planned. I remember that slotting in your exercise can be tricky at times for you - since you often end up working long hours.

I am lucky because my water allocation is not too much these days - so I can get through it ok. I do remember how difficult it was when I was a bigger person though...

Everyone finds it tough...

I have been on the treadmill and done my 6.5 miles. I did it again at 4.1mph because I am still being troubled by my right shin and my left heel... That was 98 minutes of exercise...

The toughest thing is the food.

My food has been horrendous lately. At least it wasnt junk food - but when you say that you say it all...

I know that I should watch my starchy carbs as a PCOS lady. I had tons of starchy carbs yesterday - way too many. I had 4 weetabix at breakfast plus 4 slices of wholemeal bread at lunch. Then I had noodles as part of my main meal. Add in the fact that I had a small quantity of cheese at lunch - despite knowing that I should avoid it... It was like a "how not to eat example" for someone like me!!!

When I am in control I would not touch bread, noodles or cheese - EVER... I would limit the weetabix too...

I am doing fine with the exercise and the water. The weight is another matter entirely...

Is it just me that's finding the water part tough? Maybe my maths is screwed!!! LOL!! I calculate...that at 208, I need 104 fl oz which equals around 3.1 litres? I can drink maybe 1.5-2 litres a day at the moment and have been trying to work up to more over the last couple of days!

No - your maths is right. It is tough... Very tough...

It is tougher the bigger you are too. I am skinny compared to what I was - and am currently drinking 2.5 litres a day because mine calculates out to over 2 litres... I work in litres and always round up to the next half litre because I fill x (currently 5) half litre bottles of water and get them out of the fridge one at a time until I have worked my way through them all...

On my way down losing weight I had all sorts of milestones - half stone boundaries, 10 pound boundaries, change of BMI, change of clothes size. I also had as milestones the weights which meant that I could drink half a litre less of water every day. They were well worth celebrating!!! I am gutted that my weight is up and I need to drink more again - I was down to 2 litres when I was in maintenance...

I had all my water again yesterday - Sunday.

I have just finished on the treadmill for today. Thankfully my shin and blister are a little better today so I did the main of my walk at 4.2mph. I did just over 6.5 miles in 96 minutes today. Thank goodness that I have become adept at bursting blisters and bandaging over the past 3 years...

I am really struggling with this water challenge - does doing badly one week disqualify you from the other challenges?

It's only because I dont' want to end up stressing over the water when the exercise and especially the food part is going really well.

It was a busy weekend for me.

Friday I got in 100 oz of water so I needed 9.5 oz more to make my goal
Sat. I drank 110
Sun Not so good at only 70oz
Today I am already on my way and have drank 39 oz so far!!

For me my exercise is light walking as I have not been released medically to exercise I am hoping that happens today at my post op appt.

I was noticing that some of you are not eating much but hitting the gym fairly hard, this will ultimatley back fire on you! So make sure you are taking in enough calories. Trust me I totally platued myself in July into Aug by not eating enough and doing workouts that were burning in excess of 800 calories in an hour.
As my personal trainer told me and then another personal trainer that I talk to online, the most important is #1 rest, #2 eating and #3 exercise. I make sure that I am eating like 6 times a day and when working out hard I make sure each of those 6 times I eat protien. Right now since I can not really workout, I am eating mostly chicken, tuna, cottage cheese for protien and lots of veggies so I can flush all of the holiday crap out of my system so when I go back to working out normally next week I will be all ready to go!!!

I will post my total water intake later tonight or tomorrow morning.

hey there WTF...

No!! Just do your best, the challenge points are a slight side advantage, but the main goal is WEIGHTLOSS!!! :hurray:

I hit another small roadblock. My doc doesn't want me exercising yet. He feels that it would be impactful on my joints at my current weight. He said do the calorie reduction so that's all I got for mine.

Too much water.
Can't meet the 2 hour min...

Am I doing great or what? lol
