I wouldn't mind individual actually - as I seem to be the only one posting on my team's thread - there would be more support on an individual level (for me). Again, I don't mind either way!!
 
Thanks San... I'll see how the votes go for singles or teams... I'll let you know if I need anything... I may find a less sophisticated solution easier to manage...
 
I'm on board.

I wish San would post up the score sheets again (even if temporarily) so I could copy my own; it was the only place that had my goal for the end of the challenge.
 
Do you want the current points etc for individual people? I didn't post the updated scores because there was so much missing, but I can give you the individual points if you want.
 
Well - I think the numbers will be such that this challenge will be most supportive if it continues on an "individual basis". That way - no-one will sit in a team of one person... I am concerned that people may be hesitant to announce that they are staying on if they are in "Fire" and no-one has replied... I do not like the notion that Justina may be by herself and no-one else from Cruisin has replied yet.

As of now - we will abandon the old team threads... I will not delete them as we may want to look up things that we have said there... I will simply put a posting in them to come here... This thread can be a single chat and support thread for us all to meet in, chat about what we are doing and cheer each other on... LOL effectively everyone will be in the same team...

I see that San has deleted the rules from the initial posting.
I will edit and put some new rules there...

People that have left the challenge are welcome to rejoin.
New people are certainly welcome.

I will apply a points credit to give them some points for the missing weeks based on 80% of the average points achieved by other players at that time... They need not fear being miles behind people that have played all along.
The fact that it is not 100% gives a reward to people who have stuck with the challenge all along and worked hard but dropped a few points here and there...

The challenge will continue with the same water / exercise / mini challenge points structure.

I am toying with making some changes to the way that the mini challenges are announced... There has been some repetition of ideas - so I suspect that people are occasionally stuck for ideas... I have been in a lot of challenges and learnt a lot in them... Things may run more smoothly if I simply announced a task myself - that way it would save any delay in waiting for a ruling...

What are people's thoughts on such a change?

I can leave it as it is if people would prefer - but am trying to think of ways to make things run more smoothly and give people more warning about what is coming up... Many people are too busy to keep looking in at the last minute for what they are supposed to be doing and would prefer a bit of notice...
 
Omega, I'm with you on some mini-challenges being repetitive. I learned a lot in the earlier weeks when there was a completely new challenge every week. I'm not learning anything if they're repeated. I have no problem with you choosing the mini-challenges. Maybe take ideas from others in this thread or in PMs to get new ideas. I'm going to finish up posting this week's points progress in SUCCESS' thread then switch to this one as you said.

Next week is going to be a bit tricky for me - I will be on the road for a week - I will do my best though! :D
 
OK - I'll announce the mini challenges from now on - that way I can give you a bit of notice in future weeks.

If Justina is on the road it seems fair to do something that involves no weighing and measuring or any special eating or exercise...

I am not going to say "do nothing and gain the points"...

Too often it is easy to eat without thinking - and give ourselves permission to eat naughty things because it is hard to eat sensibly and pretend that it didnt happen. One of the big benefits of a forum is accountability. We tend to do better if we admit exactly what we are doing...

The mini challenge will not be too easy.

It is to list all the food and drink that you have...
You do not have to post it that day... You can jot it down and post a few days later if you cannot get to a computer...

You do not have to weigh anything or calculate the calories... You can have a giant pizza every day if you want... Eat chocolate and still get challenge points...
All you need to do is list it all...

So the mini challenge for the week starting tomorrow is "log everything". 3 points per day.
 
I'm going to call this "The Guilt Trip" mini-challenge :p But it's a good idea and will really open your eyes to what you're eating. I'll admit, I have a donut once/week, so I'm hoping to be a good girl for this mini-challenge.

Logging in everyday... this is actually harder than the physical exercises because it calls for you to be conscious of what you are doing and what you eat and taking a hard look at it.... but hey it may lead to better food choices if you know you have to truthfully log it in for others to see..:blush5:

I think that most of us were talking less than at the start... I was...

As far as the mini challenge goes - I know that the guilt always makes me eat better... Even when I eat badly I tend to eat a lot less badly...

I weighed in at 10st10.2 this morning or 150.2 pounds... My weight has moved slowly downward... Not much - but better than nothing...

I got max points for the exercise last week and for the mini challenge of outdoor walking.

I had between 2 and 3 litres of water on both Wednesday and Thursday which meant that I dropped a couple of points there...

Justina - you chose the mini challenge for us last week. How many points were you giving for each day that we did some outdoor exercise... I know that it was 3 points a day the last time it ran (week ending 11th May) but you may have different ideas for this time round.

I will update it later if anything changes - but that's the plan - I already have the food in the fridge.
