Workout 5/29

Spinning

Intervals again - last class with our regular instructor before she goes to the spinning conference in Miami. I expect that on Tuesday's class we'll be getting whatever she's learned in Miami, but will see.

How you liking the NROL?

So far so good - I did run throughs of Break-In A and Break-In B on Wednesday, then did A on Friday. Since Monday was Memorial Day I took the day off and am planning to do B today. I like how the workout feels, especially when it's complete - I know my previous routines had some isolation exercises, so this is the first time I've been doing compounds throughout. More functional is probably a good way to describe it - that it can be used for more purposeful activity than the isolated muscles. It seems like it's more efficient too - only 6 exercises in the actual workout, though I do all of the warmup exercises in the book as well (walking lunges, lateral lunges w/reach etc) but it takes me less time than my previous workout did.

"Stand with your legs straight and your hands on the floor. (You'll probably need to begin with your hands a couple of feet in front of you.) Keeping your legs straight, walk your hands forward as far as possible. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds. Then take tiny steps to walk your feet back to your hands. Hold again for 3 to 5 seconds. Repeat for a set of five."

oh ok, I've seen people do those, just never knew what they were called. I don't think i can do them because of my wrist, but i may try it.

What's wrong with your wrist?

Honestly, I have no idea.. but push up position is very painful (palm flat wrist bent). I've had xrays taken by 2 different docs and they dont see anything wrong. I dont even know when I initially hurt it.. it's been this way for at least 6 or 7 years now.

The wings man the wings..how did they turn out or did you take them yet?

I think they turned out well - I was only left with a small container (which I gave to my spinning instructor) when all was said and done. I also had a request to make them again for when the requestor's birthday month came around.

They're hardly secret - longtime readers of my diary probably know the ones I make on a regular basis and others that I've had some initial difficulty with.

Heh there's 200,000+ recipes on recipezaar - care to start at 1 and try them all? :)

That would be a lot of good eat'n.. and probably just a little bad too lol..
but are your cookbooks public? Like tattoed ladys? (I should learn real names lol)
