My Diary

i like mushrooms alot,i just cant have shrimps in soup..it makes me ick:|
i think i will try this soup aswell..as i am getting back to my old self again..since i have got some time for myself now,as the house is near completition:)

I really wish I could get into Spinning, I fear it! I feel stupid just sitting there peddling the whole time not standing or anything. How long till you were able to keep up? Plus even with the gel seat it kills my butt!!:p

Well I'd been doing the elliptical for half an hour for a while before starting Spinning class. It took a bit to get used to the gel seat (2-3 weeks?) but now I don't mind it. Our instructor asks newer people if they want to try to stand and run on the bike when we do those moves (but only if they seem ready to try it). But it's your ride - only you really know how much resistance is on the bike. A heart rate monitor is a good and helpful too to gauge how hard you're working too.

Just read through your whole diary... VERY inspirational! Makes me want to go back to the gym and have a better workout tonight! Nice to see pics too:)

I missed the pics? I too just got caught up on your diary Tom. AWESOME job on the weight loss and your fitness goals! I love how you say you're getting spoiled by your own cooking! ha! I want to cook so well that I have no desire to go out to eat too! hahaha. At any rate, very impressive my friend. Keep up the awesome momentum!

Dang at 70 some pages that's a lot to wade through. Thanks for your encouraging words. :)

Yup there's pics somewhere buried in the diary but you'd have to look through the pages to find 'em. As for the cooking, I'm narrowing my restaurant ordering to stuff I can't make (sushi) or stuff I won't make (hot and sour soup - because of all the prep work involved) at home. I don't order lo mein anymore from chinese restaurants simply because I feel mine's better.

It's true, Tor - Tom's journey is very inspirational. :) I think that whenever we get unmotivated, we should think back to Tom and remember his journey. That would be enough motivation - look at all he's accomplished!

Tom - get that leg checked out. Seriously....you don't wanna mess with that.

Well thank you Wendy - the journey is still ongoing. But if people take inspiration from it, more power to 'em. I just consider it as something that had to be done if I wanted to be healthy and hot.

Well, had my yearly appointment with one of the specialists I see... turns out I was incorrect with my highest weight - it actually was 354, which would put me at around 110 lbs lost so far.

Thank you Shellsy :)

Think I might give myself a rest day today - to give me time to regroup and recupe from the week. Looking forward to my massage later this afternoon.

Workout 3/1

Spinning

Our instructor is definitely kicking it up a notch - normally the class after a race day would be an endurance ride (80%). Well it was an all-terrain ride that we did and it was tough coming off a hard class like race day to one that was challenging, but we did it.

Thanks Wendy and Christi :)
