International Women's Day! and indeed to all the international friends here! I love that we cover so much of the globe, and are all working together for our good health! :hurray::grouphug::seeya: Cheers and solidarity and waving to you all!

Yes hooray for all the international women!! and for good health all round!:waving: and a wave back to you Amy

Happy International Women's Day to you too my friend :grouphug:

Life has just got a bit complicated for me - coronavirus, and meetings needing to be re-organised to be online etc etc. I won't be commenting much today, but...
today is four months holding the line!
Precious little downward since 11 February, mind you, but I'll see where I am by the weekend. :)

Well done on holding that line for 4 months. There is no hurry. I think life is going to get more complicated for all of us. I'm not looking forward to going on 4 planes in the next 2 weeks

Congratulations on holding the line! I just realized I can't say the same thing...

About more meetings being held online: if this whole mess leads to more companies doing more international meetings online in the long run we may actually end up seeing a little benefit from it.

Thanks - I know there's no hurry, rationally, but I admit I'm getting impatient to leave the 170s behind.
I don't know what to say, about the plane trips - wear a mask on the plane, maybe? But with any luck by the time you're airborne everyone coming home from Milan will have already got there! :)

Amy there is a lot of unrest here at the moment . I think if people can work from home that’s great . Cate I think airplanes are very well disinfected and just keep your distance. However I think the next 2 weeks will tell a lot Re travel .
Amy you and I are still kind of maintaining its hard to get that downward gear but we will do . Isn’t it great we are staying motivated and striving .

Yes I'm finding that covid virus disrupting my life as well even though it's still not a huge concern where I am...I find every time I hear about it, my back gets worse!
It'll be nice when the concern has passed and we can get back to normal. (although as LaMa points out, it does have some benefits in helping the environment--too bad humans can't change for the better that way without this kind of motivation!)

The garden is a nice place to get away from the stress!

Anyways great about the maintenance, and best of luck to leaving the 170's soon!

I’m getting impatient to be solidly in the 170s! Still teetering on the edge at the moment.

The coronavirus is really getting serious here, we had our first death from it today, very scary.

I toggle back and forth between being anxious and feeling angry that ... oh well, being angry. I am not many links away from an infected person (these are work links, not personal links) so the bus-ride I took two days ago might have to be the last for a while. I'll still be getting out and about, but mostly for daily shopping. Morning exercise group can be suspended for the next little while as well - I mean for me. It'll have to be tai chi on the rooftop!
Agreed, Petal! It's
great we are staying motivated and striving
. Loved your list of fruits, by the way - it seems raspberries and blueberries are in season in Ireland now! (Because Emily mentioned them as well - to have in her porridge. :) )

Yes, a garden to get away from stress, liza! I'll do that! :) The mint should hit the potting mix this weekend! And rosemary - one more try!

Good for you, Emily - those numbers feel so important - logically, it's not more important to lose two pounds going from 186 to 184 than it is to lose two pounds going from 181 to 179, but it feels so much more significant. But hang on! I see from the lines under your post that you were well into the 170s in Week 10, and for several weeks before that - and have just jumped up this last week? Am I reading it right? Then with any luck that's just water weight gained from a mild bout of stress eating! Oh, cheering for you on your fun raspberry-and-blueberry filled weekend, to drop right back down into the middle 170s, and then to march with me (and Petal, and Nelly!) right out the door of the 170s Club and into the 160s!

I think we are all only a link or 2 away from the virus, just like we are only a link or 2 away from influenza. We can only do the best we can to avoid it & there's not much point living in fear. Gardening plans sound good, Amy. Just have another crack :)

I know someone who was tested yesterday for the virus . I personally don't think he has it but I am starting to feel a tight anxious knot in my chest about it all.
Our berries are imported Amy and I use a lot of frozen.
I can see our available fruits dipping soon.

I do have 3 bags of frozen Brussels sprouts though ! I dislike Brussels sprouts but husband likes and he buys them . Lol .

Oh dear God, I hope you're right! :D
