Weight-Loss Lose it by Christmas Challenge!

I too am calling it quits for this challenge. Maybe next time I can get my act together to post on time and what not. I Wish everyone the best.
 
As there wasn't a challenge posted this week, I don't think it's fair to count it as a week.....
 
Maybe the points could just be based on the amount of exercise and weight lost?

I think Allie wrote that she had internet problems, maybe that is why there was no challenge? Maybe on of us could take over for the time being, until she comes back, add up the points and try to come up with a new challenge, just in case?

I'm loathe to go back and add it all up, but I say we just keep posting our progress and use the thread as a support thread for this challenge.

Maybe starting this next week we can alternate picking a challenge between those still doing this. I'll be happy to choose one next week. If we just keep posting our stats, tink can get that figured out when she gets back as long as our stats are kept updated and I'm sure she will. If not, we can reassess in a couple weeks. What do you all think? I wouldn't mind doing it, but I'm mid sememster on my class and I have 3 kids I'm running around doing stuff for. My load may lighten up in a couple weeks and I can try and get it caught up, but I can't promise I will get it done in the next couple days, but I'll see what I can do. Just keep working folks! The goals haven't changed since we started so let's see if we can keep at this thing and lose what we can and strengthen our bodies!
 
Sounds good to me. How about you come up for a challenge for next week, then somebody else comes up with one for the week after, and so on, until Tinker comes back. If she hasn't shown back up by....let's say....November 8th, I volunteer to go through all the posts and add up the points and everything. By then my son will be back in school and I will have some time to do it. Just so we get an idea of where we are, point wise.

I would definitely like to get the challenge going, it's a lot of fun, and it's very motivating, at least for me.

Maybe everybody who is still in it could post a quick 'aye', to give us an idea who's in and who isn't?

What does everybody else think?
 
San, I'd be willing to go through and add up this past Sundays stats for everyone. I've got too much time on my hands and lord only knws I spend too much time on this site not really doing anything lol.
 
Works for me....maybe you can do the ones for past sunday, I do them next sunday....so we all do our share of the work. :)

I think my results will be abysmal this week. I decided to take today and tmrw off from working out and I've got pms bloating to boot. You'd think I ate a couple of bags of cheese curls considering the 3 lbs I accumulate overnight during this time. :rant: UGH!!!!
I'm hoping the scale will give me a generous reading that keep sme under 200...God, I hate TOM!!!!

So, week 3 was from the 10th to the 17th of October, right? And I would have to do the 17th to 24th now to get us up to date? Just making sure to get things right....*lol*...also, do we want to add all the points up right away, or do it week by week and then add up in the end?

I just added things up again, just because I have too much time on my hands, and I came up with different results even for week 2....now I am totally confused...*lol*

I see what she did!!

She started the challange on Sept. 26th. She counted up 26th to Oct 3rd. (week 1), 3rd to the 17th (week 2), I did the 17th to the 24th (week 3).

You will be October 24th to October 31st! That's why it seemed off, I wasn't around for the 26th one, I don't think you were either so for us, we're only going on our 3rd week while everyones on their 4th!

As for the points...I took the 17ths weight, subtracted the 24ths weight from it and got the total pounds lost for the week. Added 10pts per pound. The exercise....for say, your's was 360. I devided 360 by 15mins then multiplyed 5mins per every 15....thats how I took it as she counts them up...

Right, that's why it doesn't add up for me. For me the weeks are:

Sept 26th to Oct. 3rd = Week 1
Oct. 3rd to Oct. 10th = Week 2
Oct. 10th to Oct. 17th = Week 3
Oct. 17th to Oct. 24th = Week 4
Oct. 24th to Oct. 30th = Week 5
and so on...which means we are one week down at the moment, plus the one that we are in right now.

I was around all the weeks, just didn't finish the challenge in one of them.

Speaking of the challenges, are the points only given if the challenge was completed, or do we give out points for making the effort as well? So, like you get 20 points for 300, would you get maybe 10 points for 150? Or 0 points unless you do them all?

I'll have a look again later on, I can't figure out why my result doesn't match Allie's for week 2, no matter how I twist and turn it....*lol*...mind you, I suck at math, so it's probably me who's got it wrong!
 
Right, that's why it doesn't add up for me. For me the weeks are:

Lol, we added up our weeks differently. I went 26th to the 3rd. 10th to the 17th. which would mean I skipped the 3rd to the 10th. Oy! Oh well..the 17th to the 24th are added up, no matter the week number.

Uhm..I think we only give points if ppl completed the challange in full

As for when you can choose....I don't know, I guess we'll do a rotation thingie...and since I am really bad at coming up with things, you can have my spot, which, I think, is the 7th to the 14th of November. :)
 
Ok, with Halloween here and a midterm looming for me, I'm posting the challenge early. I say let's go big muscle again this week and work on some glutes!

Let's see some glute kickbacks, modified as you need to! If you are more advanced, then add some ankle weights or even band, but however you do them...you need 40 on each side daily. To feel them and to avoid injury, you need to control the movement. So, 'enjoy'!

Here is a link to show the exercise if anyone has any questions. If this position is a problem, then standing and lifting your leg to the back as much as you can would work too. As long as your squeezing that glute!

Sounds good to me, I can do that! (I think....*lol*)

And obsessive as I am I went through all the tables etc. again and figured out what happened and where we actually are....we have results for week 1 (26th), week 2 (3rd), then we're missing weeks 3 and 4 (10th and 17th) and now we have the results for 5 (24th) and I'll put the ones for today up later once everybody has posted their stats. I will also see if I can come up with the results for the missing weeks, individually, and then add them up to see where we are overall.

And no, I don't have a life, I am sad, and while I suck at maths, I still have a thing for numbers....go figure! *lol*

Oh, and happy Halloween everybody!! :party:
