Day 49 8-16-08

New LOW on the scale!!! 217

:willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly:

Finally. I know that I could possibly be 218 again tomorrow, but it was good to see a new low that I can bounce in between. I was so sick of 218!

Okay so, I've been absent for a couple of days, and in those days I took a little break from counting calories. I think I still stayed in a decent caloric range(I pretty much ate the same meals that I've eaten the last few days, so it wasn't like I went on a drastic diet change.) However, yesterday I went with my friends to Chilli's and had a burger and fries and I ate some chocolate cake and a bite of icecream. o_O

(395)Breakfast:wheat pita(150), 2 tsp. peanut butter(70) on one half and 1 wedge of light laughing cow swiss cheese(35) on the other half and a half of a banana(50). 1 c. 100% Indian River Grapefruit juice(90)

(395)Lunch: The last of the stew leftovers--1 piece of meat, carrots, snap beans, onions, sweet potato, celery(200). 6 whole wheat crackers (105). 1 c. grapefruit juice(90)

funny how breakfast and lunch ended up being the same exact calories.

"taco bell mild sauce" from a jar. Diet Green Tea (0)

(105)Snack:Fiber One vanilla yogurt(mixed with nutmeg and ginger) Half of a small granny smith apple (25)

Total of 1470 calories for the day. A little under today but I was very satisfied.

Mmm. I'm glad that it's not incredibly unhealthy because it is definately one of my favorite things to cook and eat. Did you end up making it on Friday?

Hey, glad to see your internet problems are resolved. No, we ended up eating out on Friday, so I am planning on making the roast tomorrow. Then, I will make green chile stew with the leftovers on Tuesday.

Your dinner last night sounded very yummy. I was born in Wyoming, but have lived in New Mexico (Albuquerque) for most of my life, and I LOVE things spicy! We get a bag of freshly roasted green chile every year, seperate it into sandwich size baggies, and freeze it. Then I pull it out, defrost it, peel it, & put it in EVERYTHING!!! I add it to sphagetti, stoganoff, everything. YUM!!!

Ok, went off there for a minute. Anyway, CONGRATS on the weight loss! I am so proud of you! You are a great encouragement... keep it up!!! Have a good Sunday.

Hey Stacy :) This is my first time using green chile and they were so good. I'll be keeping all of those ingredients on hand for days that I need something quick and don't feel like cooking. yum! I never thought of putting them in spaghetti but I want to try that next time. Thanks :)

Well, I obviously can't spell today. Not only did I misspell spaghetti, but the other one was supposed to be stroganoff...lol. Well, I have lots & lots of spicy recipes, so any time you need one you just let me know.

Day 50 8-17-08

Day 50 of my journey! This morning I was 216 :D

I'm my pre-pregnancy weight!! I am fully aware though that I might be up again tomorrow, but I am just SO excited to see this number!!!!!!!!!

My mom slept over last night and we had a good time. She and I are at an understanding about not getting on one another about what we eat. She is doing really really well with her eating. She doesn't have a weight problem anymore but she does have diabetes and so she has to watch her carbs. I'm so impressed at how well she is doing with it. It's truly an inspiration to me. I really need to let her know that. So anyway, all that to say that she slept over and Chris and I got to sleep in. It was wonderful! I woke up too late to eat breakfast. We went over to my in-laws for lunch and I'm actually still over here. I don't know the amount of calories I ate today. I might try to figure them out later.

Exercise: 12 miles on the exercise bike at my in-laws. 50 minutes. It said that I burned 547 calories.

Lunch: Salad: Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, cubed cheddar cheese, Light buttermilk ranch dressing. Half a filet of baked catfish, one strip of fried catfish, 2 fried mushrooms, 2 french fries, ketchup, 1/2 Diet rootbeer.

Snack: 2 peaches...they were sooo good. My in-laws are members of the fruit of the month club and they are so much better than from the store. yum. I can't wait until my peach trees start producing fruit!!

Dinner: 2 grilled fillets of catfish. same salad as lunch. 2 rolls. ice water with a scoop of fiber supplement

Snack: slice of cake- 300 calories.:piggy:.....(Still at my mom-in-law's) It was yellow cake with homemade chocolate frosting. 1 C. milk :leaving:

Way to go on losing that pound!! That is awesome. If you read my diary you'll see that I pigged out with my mom and dad all weekend and I'm nervous to get on the scale. Ha! I'm gonna have to get cracking on Monday. Take care and keep up the good work.

Congrats on getting to your pre-pg weight! That's a huge deal!! Yay!! Your food sounds so yummy! :)

WooHoo!!! Congrats on the weight loss. Even if you are "bouncing :jump:" around. I have seen your previous progress and it seems like you tend to go up and down for a couple of days, but then you end up at the lower number. Then you start bouncing to an even lower number!

Yea!!! I am so proud of you!

Keep it up, and forget the guilt about the cake. It's not like you're eating it every day for breakfast, right? Cuz then I'd have to start yelling at you. :argue:

Keep it up!

Yay!

you are punching through this !!

The exercise seems to be working great for you. Even with the cake! hehe.

....hehe

I love how on yesterday's lunch you only had "two french fries".......:rotflmao: that's awesome.

I find myself doing that too....documenting everything! even if I only eat a cherry tomato, or a grape....lol.

but it works. keeps you fully aware of everything you consume.

keep it up!! the under pre-pregnancey weight is a huge milestone reference.....I bet you feel real proud.

We are all proud of you too ;)

ha! that's exactly the pattern that I've been noticing too. Hopefully I can keep this up! Thanks so much for pushing me to move forward! I really and truly appreciate you!!! If I start eating cake for breakfast then you certainly have my permission to yell and scold me!!! :D

Hahaha! :D Well, 2 french fries here, a bite of cake there....it really adds up and if I'm not honest with myself then this is just all useless! The grape is funny!!! One grape is 3 calories. I think we burn that in chewing it and swallowing it! But yes, you're right it does make you more aware. I've NEVER been this aware in my entire life for this amount of time.

Thanks for the pat on the back about the pre-preggie weight. I am truly getting my life back. Today I pulled out some of my old jeans that I used to fit into about 5 years ago. I could barely get them up to my thighs today. I held them up and couldn't believe how small they looked!!! I WILL fit into them again. I will do this!!!

Hey Kristi :O) ty for stoppin by my diary, I left you a note there too. Good job on sticking too it and the weight loss! I'm so encouraged when I read how you're doing! I've been trying to decide whether to restart low carb or start something less restrictive and just eat healthy and track....or whether to start off lc until I feel better and then switch....well anyway I'll let you know cuz I just need to start something and stop the fast food drive throughs :X Hope you're havin a good day :)

Thanks so much!!!

I'm glad that you are evaluating what your plan is. That's always a good place to be. This way you are sure what you want to do and it can be long term. Consistency is what is going to help us lose the weight and keep it off for good. I look forward to hearing what your plan is when you get it going! I'm having a good day. I kind of moped around and am a little down today. It's not too bad, so I'm trying not to let it get the best of me...I'll write more about it a little later. Thanks for everything you said, I really appreciate you =)
