Hows it going MissKat?!

Best wishes to you.

Hey there Mr C!

I am great thanks! Have been feeling really strong over the past few days.... My boxing has really improved recently..... I love NROL and weights that I have incorporated into my routine... ITS AWESOME!!!............

I acheived something new this week as well - not only am I doing pushups "like a man" i.e proper push ups on your toes, but this week I tried doing those special ones where you elbows are tucked in close to your torso!! wow I felt some soreness over the last few days - it seems to work those muscles kindof on your sides under your underarms!

Hope all is going well with you!!

Cheers
Kat

;) helllooooo!..... I had a great and very busy weekend.

I managed to get to the gym yesterday for some HIIT and weights and am up to lifting 12kilos or 26.5 pounds with handweights and the bar so YAY!

I really notice my body temperature shooting through the roof on the day and the day after I do HIIT..... LOVE IT...!!

Food wise did well although I did have a slice of white italian bread on Sat night as you can not eat beef carpaccio (paper thin raw top quality beef with olive oil and lemon juice and parmasan cheese shavings on top YUMMMM) without bread and the restaurant had no whole grain bread but I shouldnt obsess over eating one slice of bread:eek: although it sure sounds as though I am!..... I mean I dont even really have any whole "cheat meals"....

ANYWAY!!! I am travelling interstate for work Tuesday Wednesday so I must fit in two gym sessions as will be missing out on boxing :( This will be a little challenging as am catching extremely early and lengthy flights and have two very full on days planned for work but luckily the hotel will have a gym so convenience will make up for me being tired etc....

Hope everyone had a cracker of a weekend and KEEP GOING!!!

hey! I like your attitude and the way you talk.

your body temp is shooting up? how do you know? do they feel like 'hot flashes?'

you can always fit a workoput in if you want to. It's all about breaking the sweat. Thos pushupos are working for ya, do some planks, and some speed jumping jacks and kick up into a handstand against the wall for press-ups, etc etc etc.

you have flavor!

Keep it up
sweat daily

Ok so I jumped onto the little grey scales this morning.... its funny how emotions can be conjured up by the lifeless numbers that come up....

Anyway....! Lets re-count my progress to date:

22 Jan 2008: 98 kgs: 216.1 pounds

22 Feb 2008: 88kgs: 194 pounds

26 March 2008: 82.2kgs: 181.2 pounds

WOW! thats 15.8 kgs or 34.9 pounds DOWN DOWN DOWNNNNN!!!:eek2:

I am 22.2 kilos/ 48.9 pounds off from my goal weight. I have 5 months to do this, I WILL DO THIS. 18 weeks to go - I need to lose 1.2 kgs/2.6 pounds per week... This is acheivable.

On another note I pushed myself extremely hard this morning - we did kickboxing and bodyweight work, jump rope, ab work.... I wanted to throw up after class but feel good as I know I pushed myself to the MAX.... Does this make me scary?!?.....

um..... uh - HOLY SHEEYAT!

;) Thanks FF!

Body Temp: yeah I swear its almost like someone pressess an "on" button, very noticeable "at rest" the day after - like right now sitting at my desk and my whole torso just revs up... like inside my tummy and chest and back and neck, under my arms... just like i have a mini sauna built in.... red hot heat!..... it does come and go... like flashes!..

Re fitting in the workouts whilst away for work, YOU ARE RIGHT ON, :boxing_smiley: you have to push past the mental barriers and fatigue and just do it.... becuase when you are doing it you forget you are tired and just sit in the concentration of what you are doing!

Thanks for the suggestions re pushups - I do them all (planks are awesome! I love and hate them at the same time!) except for the handstand press up! I cant wait to try it!....

Thanks Drex!.... very encouraging! also  cool car you have there..

Thanks. :) I'm itching to drive it some. It has been stored all winter and the weather keeps teasing me with a couple nice days and then it changes up and snows. Supposed to get 7 inches today. :( Warm weather is not far off though.

haha I bet you are! - I dont know how you can survive having your car "stored" - thats pretty much unheard of here in Australia..... hope you get some warmer weather soon....

Ok so I am on the other side of Aus and in Europe this would equate to about 10 countries at least!

After a very long and early flight I had a huge days work at the office and survived a change in time zone... went to my hotel then BURNED IT UP BABY - yes it would have been easier to just go to bed but I smashed the treadmill with HIIT - I was making lots of noise but made it 25 mins with 5 mins warm up and 1 min on and 1 min off and further 4 mins cool down.. I finished off with about 20 mins of weights....

I felt like the workout was quick yet effective... and after that I felt like i could take on the world instead I ate a chicken salad and forced myself to go to bed as had soo much energy......

Tonight will be no different except I might jump on the bike instead as my calf muscles are yelling at me :)

I hand myself "dork of the year" award.... half way through bench presses I feel like I can lift no more.... then I say to myself in my head "push harder princess"!! (i am sure i saw that somewhere on this forum)

Hi everybody!... (haha dont you just love that I am assuming people are reading this post) ANYWAY Yeah a little update for you all since my last post.

I did do the second "kill me now" HIIT session at the hotel gym on the bike then more weights....

That was Thursday night.... got back on Friday.

Went to the gym on Sat morning and smashed the stepper with a hardcore 25 min HIIT session (this does include 5 mins warmup)..... then went on to do 15 mins of steady cardio - running then did a full body workout and tried out the cable machines which are hard but awsome (you really need to control your movements and I feel like you use more muscles.....

Sunday I was running around like a mad woman meeting up with different sets of friends and doing a marathon shopping session... was exhausted by last night as had to catch up on the time difference and daylight savings has ended :(.....

Today I went for a run at lunchtime and felt really good and tonight I will go to the gym for HIIT (prob stepper)..... and weights then tomorrow am back at boxing!..... GO ME - I am nearly into the next size down again and have my weigh in in 8 days so lets see what happens...

The dedication and motivation you exude.

Ahhh thanks Tony... :) I guess thats the funny thing with me.. I have an "all" or "nothing" attitude with things I choose to do... it can be a little dangerous but I dont beleive in doing anything half heartedly and besides feeling this way is just SOOO DAM ADDICTIVE!....

 oh lordy.....

Ok so I get up this morning and get to boxing - another MMA class - was feeling strong - got in before anyone else and did a proper warm up on the bike then started jump rope for about 4 mins for the class started....

Class was tough but good. The trainer came up to me half way through class and said that he had noticed that I had dropped a heap of weight in the last few months, he asked me how was I feeling etc.... SO I WAS PUMPED... (good story so far huh)

During stretches at the end of class I was pushing a little extra with these splits stretches.....

Class over...

I walked over to the window to see down to the street below while I took my gloves off and noticed that it felt a little breazy on my butt.... I casually checked my butt and noticed THAT MY TIGHTS HAD RIPPED!!!!!!!! Dam those splits stretches!!!!

I dropped to the floor quicker than you could imagine and called one of my mates over to go and get my jacket from my locker.... in the meantime i was trying to work out who had seen my BUTT.....! OH LORDY the embarrasment....

Hello people!

The last few morning I SURVIVED!! i.e no one mentioned a thing!! so back to feeling like a normal fully clothed boxing girl!!.....

I did kickboxing on Wednesday (my nether regions were in pain the day after) and boxing on Thursday.... MMA this morning.... ALL GOOD..... nothing really to report except I feel fitter again... I LOVE THAT....

Yesterday not only did I beat a fair few of the girls at sprinting up one end of the gym doing 30 straight punches then sprinting down the other end of the gym then doing a pushup then sprinting back to the other end of the gym then doing 20 then 10 then 5 then 2 etc etc....... I ALSO BEAT some of the fit guys!.... :D

I have been getting out of work late this week so no lifting and only 10 mins of HIIT before boxing most mornings... I MISS MY LIFTING!......

The weekend is out as i have some travelling to do and too much on but come Monday night I AM GOING TO LIFT LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!......:D

Hey all - I was messing around last night - trying on some of my old "sexy" clothes...

I also found an old belt that I wore before I decided to lose weight and get fit and was astounded to see that I could no longer even use the smallest hole on the belt... previously I couldnt even use the last hole as I was getting wayyy chunky.....

I decided to measure my hips where my belt sits and compare to the last hole in the belt.

Then: 47 inches
Now: 37 inches

I think thats a pretty cool change!! 10 inches!!...

Its great to use different tools... so if anyone is reading this and feels dissolusioned PLEASE REMEMBER the scale is not the be all and end all.... Try on old clothes, measure yourslef with a tape measure and feel the increase in strength and endurance when you work out....

Ciao for now.:D
