Kat's Journey: I CAN DO IT!!

Good luck with NROL4W. You might also want to check out Ross Enamait's too.

Thanks Stingo! I am growing so impatient waiting for NROL4W- Amazon really have dropped to ball, I have been waiting for weeks now as the book isnt available from bookstores is Australia :(.... oh well I will just have to keep trudging along on my own in the weights section doing basic lifts until then!

Thanks for the link too!...

I feel great!

Last night I did 25 mins of HARDCORE HIIT.... looking back I dont think I had "actually" acheived high intensity before last night.... I could barely function after that... the main difference was that I followed the heart rate recomendations from this forum.... I managed to get up to 175bpm during the intense phase and 150-160 during recovery.... I think this is the key... of course to get up to 175bpm I had to up the intensity again on the stepper.... wow.... i have never had that much sweat coming of me in such a short amount of time EVER!...

I then went on to do weights... I am already lifting heavier and i love it!....

I felt less tired after the whole session was over....

I went to boxing this morning... it was VERY strange... i am not sure if its my imagination but I feel so HOT... when i woke up this morning I was boiling then at boxing I was sweating a lot more than usual... my body temp right now is up there as well.... am thinking maybe its due to the HIIT??........

Thanks again Stingo - HE IS AWESOME!!

OK boxing was awesome this morning..... although I had a bad nights sleep, woke up with a extremely sore throat... but decided to go and try to smash my sickness out.... I felt great during boxing but now that I have showered and had brekkie and cooled down I am starting to feel sick again... which is SOOO ANNOYING becuase I think I will have to take it easy on the weekend - i.e not excercise....

Ok I spent the weekend "doing stuff" - was on the go the whole time but no excercise at all as was still really sick... am kinda clearing up now but am wondering if I should go and do my HIIT and weights session tonight or just give myself one extra day to totally recover....

This is probably a no brainer but would really love to go and train tonight......

I guess i will just see how I go...

OK so I took the smart option and had a rest from excercise last night....

I did however go to boxing this morning as I just HAD TO!!...... it was good but not great - i would suspect I was operating at 50-60% capacity this morning... not the best but still working up a sweat but just felt weak....

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Good mornnnnnnning!!!!

Ok did kickboxing this morning and was better than yesterday!!!! my virus is at the tail end and should be totally gone in the next few days!!.... feeling good right now!!!......

Am thinking about going to the Gym tonight for HIIT and weights.... and think I really should go - I feel strong enough to do it..... '

:biggrinsanta:

Thanks Joker - unfortunatley I didnt get out of work until late last night BUT I did manage to wake up extra early to get in a short HIIT session before boxing this morning..... YAY:)

We have Friday and Monday off for Easter as public holidays so no boxing tomorrow morning and no gym on Monday but I intend to get in a lot of outdoor training done - running and swimming at the beach, hiking with my dad, bodyweight training daily so by Tuesday's post I should be able to report a very successful and active long weekend....

I also recently recieved NROL4W and I LOVE IT!! great $$ spent and worth the wait.... I should finish reading and tagging the book by Tuesday!.... I love it!

Quote from NROL: SUGAR IS A ONE TRICK PONY!!!!!

hellloooo!

Ok so am back from our Easter break and am able to report I got in some jogs on the beach/hills but thats about all.... it was raining for the rest of my time down the coast sooo chilled out for the other two days.... washed and polished my big car, read NROL from cover to cover (I am impressed)..... I am def over the virus I had YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Food wise i only had ONE EASTER EGG!! :eek2:and ate plenty of lean meat/bean salads/eggs/nuts/green vegies......

Went boxing this morning and we did MMA training which is a killer! I am ready to go to the gym tonight to do some HIIT and weights....

My monthly weigh in will be tomorrow as didnt have proper scales down the coast... so we will see what the scale has to say.... not too fussed/freaked though.... I am down another size in jeans so I am happy!!:)

Awesome progress! You're doing excellent.

:D Thanks Tony!.... yeah I kinda feel on fire at the moment - its great to see results.... It makes me even more motivated.

I guess I am lucky as I had my gall bladder removed a few years back: eating more frequently and smaller meals is essential as when normal people eat typically bigger meals bile should flush into the stomach which is produced by the gall bladder - my bile pipe thingy is now connected to my stomach and is constantly only dripping into the stomach which is why I have to eat smaller meals more frequently.

I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome - in the medical world these issues should mean that I should find it extremely difficult to lose the weight but admittedly I am focusing on a "lower" carb plan as I really believe that I am carb sensitive. Also this is recommended by my specialist who monitors my cyst issues......

Anyway this is probably more than you/others reading my entries want to know but thought you may find it interesting.. or even better give someone out there some hope that having these issues does NOT prevent you from reaching your goals.... you just have to sweat for it!

Cheers
Kat

P.S: my entries in this journal are more like essays!.... very narrative compared to the more "state the facts" entries on this forum... oh well I guess it may be theraputic in some ways and avoids boring my mates to death with "boxing was AWESOME today" and "can't wait to get stuck into lifting tomorrow" blah blah blah.........

Progress Baby!!!!

Ok so I jumped onto the little grey scales this morning.... its funny how emotions can be conjured up by the lifeless numbers that come up....

Anyway....! Lets re-count my progress to date:

22 Jan 2008: 98 kgs: 216.1 pounds

22 Feb 2008: 88kgs: 194 pounds

26 March 2008: 82.2kgs: 181.2 pounds

WOW! thats 15.8 kgs or 34.9 pounds DOWN DOWN DOWNNNNN!!!:eek2:

I am 22.2 kilos/ 48.9 pounds off from my goal weight. I have 5 months to do this, I WILL DO THIS. 18 weeks to go - I need to lose 1.2 kgs/2.6 pounds per week... This is acheivable.

On another note I pushed myself extremely hard this morning - we did kickboxing and bodyweight work, jump rope, ab work.... I wanted to throw up after class but feel good as I know I pushed myself to the MAX.... Does this make me scary?!?.....

Does this make me scary?!?.....
