Weight-Loss Irie, Mon! July Weight Loss Challenge

Weight-Loss
I've been having it rough with the OH these days. It seems like every night is a reason to have a drink of some sort. I've been limiting it to one or two a night, but it really hurts getting back on track. I'm always saying tomorrow and now it's next week. :toetap05:

Hey guys just got back from my lil trip and wanted to check in.

Great job recovering from vacation! Doesn't look like you skipped a beat at all.

My weight loss has slowed a ton this month. The annoying part is that my mind keeps telling me "you're screwing up!" but I think in reality that this is going to be my pace. I dropped the first 10 pounds really fast and never expected to keep that rate up...but it would have been nice. :(

Nonetheless, I'm still looking at a a solid 6 pound loss this month. Plus I've made some remarkable improvement in my fitness. I can lightly jog to work (mile away) and feel fine instead of feeling like I'm going to die! :p

How's everyone else?

I think that the slow pace, while frustrating is probably best in the end because it is much more likely to stick. You body adjusts and doesn't seem to fluctuate quite as much. I hate it, you see people dropping a ton of weight while you are plugging along but since this is all about maintainence in the end, think of it as practice for that. Also, as long as you are seeing gains in other areas, even if the scale doesn't reflect it, that's a success, imo.

You guys are all doing great - way to go!

Good Morning everyone.

July 1: 140.0
July 8: 136.8 (-3.2)
July 15: 136.4 (-0.4)
July 22: 136.8 (+0.4)
July 29: 135.2 (-1.6)

Had yet another bad weekend and gained some weight back. I was 133.4 on Friday. I have a question. Will we be posting final weight loss on the last day of the month or is today the last weigh in??

I'm counting today as my last weigh in for this challenge...don't know about anyone else though!

July 1: 195.8
July 8: (193.3) 195.2
July 15: (190.4) 192.2
July 22: (187.9) 188.9
July 29: (185.4) 190.9

JULY TOTAL: (10.4) 4.9

Well, I got half way to my goal! :p The scale has been acting up all week, but I'm improving in other areas (fitness, measurements, energy levels) so I don't really care. Plus I still lost almost 5 pounds! Woohoo!

Madness and Amanda, both of you have done wonderfully this month. I wish I could say the same for myself, but, Oh, well. I'm still chugging along. I need a new battery for my scale, and I'm leaving on vacation Friday, so I'll use Thursday as my end. I'm hoping to make up for some lost time between now and then. :waving:

Thanks Trops! My battery went out not that long ago. Since I weigh myself everyday, it felt really weird to not know for a few days in a row. But I did survive! :p

Good luck on the rest of the week!

I think the final weigh in should be the last day of the month :D

That way I'll have time to shed what I gained on the weekend. Not to mention that would be the entire month... not 2 days short.

I think the final weigh in should be the last day of the month :D

You should have told me that BEFORE I gorged myself on Chinese food for lunch today! :p Now I'll have to struggle to get rid of all the retained water from an absolute sodium overload by Thursday! :willy_nilly:

Last day weigh in

im counting my last weigh in as the end of the month weigh in as i was away last weekend and my weigh day is sat and that will be August 2nd( im such a perfectionist:)

so -9lbs for july not bad

Roll on Aug challenge:)

Well, my weight sucks but I started work on monday so my diet has been much better over the last couple of days. Now I need to spend more time at the gym, though I have been riding my bike to work.

for me its pain. My leg is really hurting me. It keeps me from running so Ive been trying to sub out riding so it doesnt hurt so bad.

My problem this summer has been just planning everything summer related. Going to the beach, pool, water park, visiting friends, vacation, wedding, and still working. I've been eating ok, but finding time and motivation to get to the gym or go running is just not there.

Ya know if we had more time in the day we would just fill it with more work and errands... sadly!
