Hey there girl,

Your doing great foodwise and wtg on walking the miles. I ma greatful the heat is starting to lift and not be as oppresive. That really sucks to hear you suffer from hyperthyroidism along with many other members here on the forum. My friend struggles with it and she is trying to loose the weight too so your definatley not alone. I am very proud of you for doing the wieght loss the right way. Hugs talk with you later...:eek:
 
Thanks for the info. I was just curious because my mom had throat cancer and they were talking about possibly removing her thyroid. Her cancer was very close to the thyroid gland. She is pretty tiny and she was worried about gaining weight. I laughed at her. She has never been over weight in here entire life and she could actually use some weight on her. She is very adament on not gaining weight. Her jeans are a size 2. (I haven't seen that size since highschool...LOL)

I noticed that you eat those skinny cow ice cream treats. I just love them. I use to eat the ice cream sandwiches but now I'm kinda addicted to the fudgecicles. Yum yum!


Actually looking at your food journal you eat a lot like I do. Except I don't drink coffee I have tea or light hot chocolate in the morning with my toast!

Hey, gothika! I finally got the time to check in and see how you are doing. You are definitely my inspiration when it comes to exercise! You are doing so great! Whenever I feel lazy, I just think of how good you're doing and it gets me moving again. Keep it up, teammate! You leave us all in the dust! :D Have a wonderful weekend!

I forgot to post food intake in the last 2 days, but I did good. Last night it rain, so I did not go for my daily walks, but I did a Tae bo "Get Ripped" I think I burned about 1000 calories. It was so intense. My body was so sore after that.

I want to wish everyone a great weekend. I wont be checking in today until the evening. I am going to a birthday party. I hope I behave. :rolleyes: I am not planning to stay long to avoid temptation. I have to stay away from the cake. Later in the day I am planning to take my daughter to see the new movie "Monster House". I heard is available in 3D, so that should be fun.

Scarlet~ i agreed with you. It is a great success. We should do this again.

Mia~ Thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about the heat. It was really hot over here the last few days, but it is getting better now.

Jodee~ Keep us posted on the status of your mom. I hope there is a way to get rid of this condition.

Jennifuffa~ This week was my first time having one of those Skinny cows. They are great.:D I tried the sandwich. They sure satisfy my sweet tooth. :p

hmm...Speaking of tooth, I am heading out to a dentist appointment. :rolleyes:

Thank you for asking that question, Scarlett. I thought it was a brand of cheese that I couldn't find...but now it seems like there are desserts too. I like dessert! Thanks for posting that article in the challenge final thread. It was interesting.

Well it looks like you are right on track. I find that when I have a box of skinny cows on hand I am less likely to sneak a trip to Dairy Queen! They have saved me a couple of times now!

I agree with you on the challenge being longer. I think that we should weigh in every week but maybe the challenge should be a month maybe.

Food for today.

1 english muffins, 2 cups of coffee, 1 banana

1 yogurt
chicken wrap, few pieces of carrots, wheat thins

chiken & rice, some fries :(

Today I really pushed my self. I walk 2 miles in the afternoon and then jog 2.5 miles in the evening. I also did more weights.
 
I wouldn't worry about those fries with the diet and exercise that you've been maintaining............not for a second! You're doing absolutely wonderful, keep up the good work!!!!
