Ok girls. Lecture from Momma
Shame on you! I know you can do so much better... so start doing it! Is eating that desert... eathing that food... more valuable to you then your own health and happyess? Yes it brings momentary happyness.. that cookie... or baked good... but long term? Nope. You know you will be happy if you be good and lose weight. Longterm happyness
Stop selling yourselves short!
This is not a diet.. its a lifestyle. Let me share a little bit with you guys on a theory I have.
Food looses its meaning due to over exposure and abuse. Meaning the more you enjoy something, the less you will enjoy it next time.
How?
When I was younger, Ice Cream was a huge treat. One of those special moments in my life where the world stopped and it weas me and my ice cream... my eyes would shine, I would squeal and joy would set in when I finally realised yes.. indeed.. my parents had gone off their rocker and got me ice cream. As I grew older, and went out by myself.. I started to sneak buying ice cream and junkfood... not all the time.. but more often. I still looked forward to it.. but it was not special anymore. And then came the day my mother started buying buckets of ice cream for the house. It was then ice cream lost most everything for me. Yes it sure tasted good, and it tasted really good when it was forbidden too.. but it tasted the best... when it was a special reward.. when it was sacred.
Abusing food, in the end will not bring as much happyness as it can. If you want a peice of cake... save it for your anniversary or birthday. If you want ice cream.. save it for that one day in the summer where you are dying of heat stroke... moaning and cursing and wishing for rain.
In the end... 'dieting' is just a persute for happyness. We want to look good, feel good and be healthy. And we are happy when we are.
Don't sell happyness short for a quick fix. It isn't worth it. Reclaim things as special. Don't give in.
