Going Down Together Club

lol yea I guess I could. I'm not a big fan of my after babies belly though, even when it gets alot smaller its still not going to be so pretty with all the little stretch marks :rolleyes: . Its ok though I'll be happy with being healthy and looking skinny in belly covering clothes. ;) Thanks for tryin to get me some extra motivation.

Last night, my hubby ate half a bag of chips and guess what I did...nothing. I just sat next to him while he ate and ate and ate. It was great. I didn't have one chip, I knew I didn't need it and the thought of coming on here and fessing up that I ate half a bag of chips wasn't something I wanted to do. :p

This weekend I'm going out of town and won't be on here at all. :( I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through all the barbeques with yummy daquiris without gaining weight. I will be on here as soon as I get back though to confess how I did and start over if I practically ruin my diet, I just really don't want to gain any weight I've lost back. I can hold off on the losing weight but if I gain....:mad:

I had self control last night..made peanut butter/chocolate chip bar..cut it up..packed it off to work. I only had a little 1"x1" bite. Enough to get the taste I guess...:0

went to costco and my dad wanted to get lunch there, but i refused to eat anything from the costco food court, so i sat there while he ate a chicken caeser salad and watched other people eat delicious looking cheese pizza's and hot dogs and i waited until i got home to eat a turkey sandwich and some chicken, along with an apple as my dessert. now, i just gotta get my lazy butt to the gym and today will have been a success in my books!
 
Great going Summer, I find the smell of nice food so tempting, so excellent work resisting!! I don't know if I would have been so strong.
 
ohhh man..that cheese was gooping off the pizza onto the plate, along with the sizzling pizza sauce. let me tell you, that is probaby one of my shining diet moments in these last 7 weeks lol
 
I had penut butter for the first time in... months.

I didn't go over my cal intake.. but I had too much of it at night.. :/
 
Well, I'm gonna start integrating some strength training with my normal cardio now, hopefully tone up my arms etc.

Gonna work today and I'm off tomorrow and work Friday...it's the big 2 day work week (when I normally work 3!!!) -- Independence day holiday...yay!

How is everyone doing after the weekend?

we had some more HUGE storms...I really don't understand why we are having so many...it's kinda freaking me out. Not the storms...really...but the ferocity and the amount...armageddon?

It is a really good idea to do weights as well as cardio, so you've made the right choice there. Not only does it tone you up, but according to Dr Phil, if you do weight training, then almost 100% of the weight you lose will be fat, because your body knows that it is going to need to keep hold of the muscle for lifting the weights. Apparently, if you don't do weights, you will always burn a bit of muscle as well as fat. A definite plus point to weight lifting!! :)
 
Avi, you are bound to be feeling down because of what you are going through with your grandma right now. It is difficult to feel motivated at times like these so don't get down on yourself.

I hope things start getting better for you soon. ((Hugs))
 
avi don't give up! you're one of the poeple that keep me motivated on here and inspired because you're always so positive and full-on about your diet!

try to make little awards for yourself, not just that belly button ring one that isn't coming around for a while. maybe one for the end of the week or something to keep you going!

or try to make a list of why you wanted to lose weight in the first place so that you can always go back to it when you feel this way. i've been here before but i've found that when i go back to my logs and lists i made when i first got home from school, i get a second burst of motivation to keep me going
 
I got a reward for the end of July if I loose 10lbs... but each day itself is hard... and I left my frozen watermelon at home so the ice cream at work here is too tempting.
 
Hey Avi, you say you aren't motivated, but I've spied a jump on your ticker. You've been doing crunches :D Well done on keeping things going and staying motivated. Keep it up, we're here for you ;)
 
I decided yesterday I had to do something cause I majorly cheated on Saturday.. and some on Sunday.

My Mom is taking grandma to the doctor again today, she has stopped throwing up since she was put on a diff pain medication.. one without that bloody codine.

This doctor doesn;t think its a pinched nerve..

and somehow.. some idiot doctor in the last few months took my grandma off her arthritis medication. I always told Mom someone always had to go with grandma to the doctor!!

I haven't got an update yet today.. but yesterday Mom said she had slightly improved. :)
 
I am really glad that your grandma is improving. It is terrible to have something like that hanging over your head.

That really annoys me about doctors ... they are supposed to know what is best for us, but the number of times that they give the wrong advice .... it is so frustrating.
