avi--i dont agree with it either but its completely different so i agree with mrs. bear on it shocking my body. and i'm barely getting any calories from it (around 800-1000) so in theory i should lose some weight off of it. the only problem is now i have to look at my sodium intake in addition to 120938 other things lol.

oh well. i'm down 2.5 lbs today :p but its just water weight i'm sure
 
LOL. Don't excuse any weightloss. Don't give it reasons not to be true. :p Just celebrate it! Because when we start to question whether our rewards are truely rewards.. whether they are valid.. then we are questioning the very reasons we are doing this!! You lost 2.5lbs!! CONGRATS!!!!! Awesome work hun, truely wonderful :) I am glad this rice thingy is working out for you and getting you off a plateu.

I wonder if hallmark has any congrats on weight loss cards.. *wanders off to their website* :D
 
Thanks everyone! Diet is back on track today, doing much better than this past weekend. Its going to be so difficult to eat the same things my hubby wants without going overboard but I'm just going to try and keep on trying. I'm not interested in being a 100 pound model so its not like I have to cut back cals super low or anything. :p
Yay summer! I'm sure this plateu has been driving you insane and I'm so glad to see this rice diet may give you that little boost. Just remember you can't always eat whatever is in this rice diet you're going to have to find a normal diet that can maintain your weightloss. Anyway what do I know about diets I can barely lose 10 pounds :D. I'm sure when you get there it won't be so hard to keep it there with the right mods. ;)

thanks avi and lazy! i'll be on this diet for a good 1 1/2 weeks before i have to switch to a 1200 cal diet while i'm out of town so we'll see how my weigh maintains then, even though i'm supposedly supposed to be on the diet for at least 2 weeks (there are two phases).

but i'll tell ya, this is one hard diet to follow. i have to measure everything and be uber creative with what i make. i can't wait til i can switch back to a normal diet...hopefully my weight will maintain even with the normal diet...
 
Hopefully you will continue to loose with the normal diet :D If we are gonna be optamistic.. might aswell go all the way! :D
 
Well the lazy name does fit me well...but I do have a 30 min cardio 3x a week plan right now and have started weights 20min 3x a week. Right now I can barely keep up with that and I know thats why my weight is coming off super slow. :rolleyes: I want to lose weight but this is not like lose this many pounds by next month or else thing for me. I want to be healthier and lose this weight, I'm not interested in cutting back to 1000 cals a day and all that and I'm way too lazy to exercise more than I am doing now. Hopefully if I keep up with this I will up my exercise and I think all the good things I've been eating will get me to change how I eat and I'll eat alot less cals. Thats about it for now. thanks for the support though I prob could use a little kick bout everyday :D

BTW summer good luck with this whole thing your going through, you've come a long way you can definately make this goal! :)

lol thanks lazy! if you start up that exercise routine though, i think you'll end up liking it and wanting to do more because i've heard (and from personal experience) that exercise is kind of addicting. see thats the problem with when i start skipping workouts, because i know that its not the exercise routine that is hard for me, but starting it is. because everyday i'll be like "okay no go tomorrow. you can do that tomorrow" and i never do, but once i get going with a routine and i'm in the middle of it, it just becomes second nature for me to go, and i actually feel crappy those days that i dont exercise. i know its hard to get going, but once you do, you'll see you like it (Hopefully?) and maybe we could implement a name change or something?
 
Hey guys, I just wanted to see how everyone is doing. I've been on vacation, but have not gained any weight. :) Yay me. I've been very active, walking or going to curves everyday. So, just wanted to check in!

Way to go, not gaining while on holiday. The last holiday I went on I gained 10 pounds!!!! Its a really tough time, so well done ;)

During my period its a bit risky to do crunches.. but I wanted an even number.. :D

I can barely make it through 20 crunches too lol. :rolleyes: I hope exercise ends up being like a habit that I just do some sort of exercise most days. That would be great. Now its like forcing a hippo to get up and dance lol I'm jk. But most the time I'm only exercising on days I don't work because I have nothing else to do half the day and then I still have to force myself.
Um I'm not really sure, I haven't gotten back onto the food thing totally. I was doing around 1500 and no more than 1700. I think 1500 is probably good but sometimes I just can't fill up and I'm not going to sit around starving when I can eat a fruit or veggie and add alittle more cals and not feel sick. I love fruit and eat some kind like 4 times a day, I don't really like veggies but they are so good for the body I usually get a few servings in. The rest of my cals are meals. I'm a bad cook I can't cook low fat and have it taste good. I need to find more recipes that my kids will like and stuff. I just eat alot less of what I can make. Anyway enough for this book. I'll start being more specific in my diary, I'm sure theres plenty of things I could cut to be healthier I just don't want to cut them!! :p

Also crissy great job just had to throw that in! :D
 
Hey Alicia, I have started counting everything now, but in the beginning I never used to count my veggie calories, as they are so low, and I still managed to lose weight. One thing, when you eat fruit do you have some protein with it? I used to have porridge and a banana for breakfast, and I would always feel hungry a couple of hours later. My weight management lady said I should omit the banana and eat it later as I wouldn't feel so hungry in the morning and to my surprise .... I don't. She also said eating some cheese with an apple slows it down in your system, and you feel satisfied longer.
 
Ohhh.. I always wondered why cheese with apples! I only eat a banana in the morning if its with cereal.. or on my way to work (40 min walk)

And I dont count everything. I do allot of approximates. I know the exact measurements of most things.. and the rest I estimate or round up a bit. Like I don't measure out my salad dressing... no way in heck. But I know I have roughly about 2 tbsps.. so thats like 10 cals if its my italian dressing.. if its the calorie wise peppercorn ranch then its 70 cals.

Omg I am feeling soooooo sooo damn good today. Which is the weirdest thing with my drinking last night.. but I feel... not bloated. relaxed... happy.. in the mood to do crunches and take care of business and take on new things! Its the last day of my period which is prob why I am feeling so excellent. gives me 1 day (tomorrow) for my body to stablize if I have any hope of seeing something positive on the scales.

Shit.. forgot my soup on the stove!!! *runs* frigggggg...
 
I am horrible with the protein. I like fruit and carbs so probably well over half my intake is from those. today fitday says I had 69 protein I'm not really sure how much I should be eating but most days is usually like 50 pct carbs 20pct protein and I guess 30 pct fat cause thats whats left lol. I bet thats way too much fat, I try to cut things out that have a lot of fat but guess I don't do a great job at it. :rolleyes: I'll try to add some cheese and cut some fat gotta stop eating things that are bad for me I guess. I've been fitting the bad things in and not going over in cals but maybe that won't work for me. I'm going to take this slow though, I'm just going to stick to the exercise and eating less. I'll figure out what I have to do if the pounds don't budge. ;)
