i actually joined a gym this week so i'm hoping that will expand my lifting routines. well, i know it will, so that should definitely help. also...once or twice a week i'll be able to get to the pool and do some laps. i love swimming, so i think that'll definitely improve my fitness.
my main goal is to lose weight, but i'm happy to report that i'm getting back to the place where i really like myself b/c i'm focusing more on the fitness and healthy eating than the numbers. of course, i'll still keep track just to see how i'm doing, but i worry more about the kinds of foods i'm eating and how well my workouts go. which, by the way, the trainer i worked out with yesterdya totally smoked my legs. yowch!!!! i'm not hurt at all, but i'm sore. i dig it..sure...'til i have to get up or try to drive my car...hahhahahah!
anyway - to those of you who support me and write a note every now and then..thanks for not giving up on me. i'm really trying.
also - on another note..i'm getting married in june, so i'm super excited! whoo hooo!!!

been at 162 all week and on the weigh day it's up:( oh well net loss is good:)
congrats to you all and jmnewsome congratulations on getting married it June!!! and for staying on the ball. Sounds like your doing well and if you are building muscle I have heard that weight goes up temporarly as muscle weighs more than fat... but it is also more compact and your measurements might be going down. Do you measure as well??

Little about me: I am married and have a 15 mo old daughter. I have been struggling to get my baby weight off. We are going on a beach vacation the beginning of July----I don't want to be that weird person that is fully dressed at the beach :)
 
04/06 155.8 I was down to 154.8 on Sunday but spent the rest of the week at 156. Grr.

I thought it might be too late to join this club, but Redneck hottie invites all newbies and it's never too late to take a positive step eh?

So, my goal is to hit 130 lbs by Christmas.

I guess that means I'll have to lose 56.3 lbs in about 7 months.

(I'm going through this slowly, cos my brain is stuck on Aussie kilos) :confused:

If the 2nd Quarter ends in June, then my first goal would be about 165 lbs.
3rd Quarter: About 145 lbs.
4th Quarter: 130 lbs. (Oh dear - that would be nice:eek: )

So at the moment I'm sitting on 186.3 and missed last Friday's weigh-in.

The next one will see me rearing to go!

Still can't see myself as hottie material - never stayed disciplined to lose a lot of weight before - but then again, I never used to visit weight loss boards either.:eek:

On a good note, my resting heart rate has dropped from 100 beats per minute to 70-75 beats/min, in just over two months! This, from walking and, in the last 2 weeks, climbing stairs! That seems so miraculous to me that I had to mention it here, because my heart rate has never been below 85. If it's the stairs that are doing it, I'm going to buy myself a stair machine!:)

I wish everyone the best of success in reaching their goals and becoming shimmering, scorching, sexy hotties! We should organise a serious party at the end of the year to flaunt our bods.;)
