Gizza"s Diary

Hello again everybody, well sorry i havent been updating my diary lately but i have had my computer in the shop :( first my little boy got a hold of the computer while i was in the kitchen making dinner and when i came back to the computer i kept getting the messages saying the some files where missing :( so i took it to the shop (that took 2 weeks) then when i tried going on the internet it kept shutting down so i took it back to the shop and they told me that i had a virus on it, so i just got it back today (hooray) and i have to report that i have started watching what i am eating again, and i have joined the gym too yippie... will keep you's up to date..:p

HI Gizza,

how are you? Still keeping on track with your eating? How's the Gym Membership...you go there regularly? We'd love to hear from you:)

Hi Lisa , sorry i havent gotten back to my diary for a while, but my computer has been in the shop again and i just got it back yesterday. I had gone to use a friends computer to see if i had any messages or replys from anyone here, but i didnt get any so i thoght that no-one was really replying here anymore, but i am glad that there are some people that still come here, so i will get back on to track now... For the first 2 weeks i was really good, i went everyday but then the week after that i was really busy and found it hard to get there so i only ended up going once that week, and so far i have only been once this week, but now that i know that there is someone here (keeping an eye on me, i better be good ), i will up date later ....:p

Hi Gizza

I bet lost of folks are just trying to work in as much good weather as they can and getting on the 'net is losing out!

I know with our gardening season being so short, I have to get all the work done I can while the weather is decent.

Good on you for trying to keep up the exercise. If I had to go somewhere to do it, it would never happen.

Take it easy and don't lose faith in the Weight Loss Forum folk ......

cheers

Weezy:D :D :D

hi Gizza,

your eating plan looks good to me - you seem to eat a lot less than I do...how do you do that...every 2-3 hours my brain just switches to food and won't stop until I eat something  .

Eating is good

But Lisa, I heard that it's better for us to eat many small meals rather that the traditional 3 - so eating all day is viable for a dieter.(AS long as you eat the right things ...)

Weezy

:p

ur right ... u will find that you eat less, but are less hungry if you are constantly eating* through the day. The problem with waiting till your hungry is that you will eat past what your body was asking for, as it takes 10-15 minutes for your body to tell you that it's full ... so, if u feel full, and are still eating, then you ate too much. If you eat small meals throughout the day, you will never have these cravings and will never fill yourself up.

Thanks you guys, that makes me feel better.
Sometimes I really feel bad, especially at work when I walk to the fridge twice as often as everybody else.

HI Gizza,

haven't heard from you in a while...are you still with us??? How's it going???
I'd love to hear from you:)

 Well hi guys , sorry i havent posted anything lately :( . As i have really fallen off TOTALLY with my eating and exercising I havent come back to post. I dont know why i have found it so hard to get back to my dieting and exercising  and I dont no how to get back to how i was doing before when i was doing well. So if anyone has some words of wisdom or just want to give me a big boot please feel free to leave a reply. ;)

Hi Gizza:

It's SUMMER ;-))))) everyone has problems sticking on thier regimes in summer. So don't feel bad, just start into it again: reduce carbs, increase protein, drinks LOTS of water, cut out sugar and excessive starch, make sure you have your carbs in the morning and at lunch, preferably NOT at dinner .....do some form of excercise everyday - DON"T get on your scale every day, or even every week .....good way to get REALLY discouraged .....

Give yourself a REASONABLE goal - it's NOT reasonable to expect to lose a ton of weight instantly. A good weightloss is roughly 2 to 2.5 lbs a week - BUT - if you don't lose that much, it's NOT catastrophic ...remember you can lose all you want, BUT it's maintaining that weightloss that's the really hard part.

You basically have to learn to eat very healthy.

Well, that's my 2 cents, don't get discouraged!

Weezy

Thanks for the motivation weezy i must say that when i did weigh my self after a month and didnt see any results of starting the gym i did get discouraged, But after hearing what you had to say i think i wil start again.

Where i live (New Zealand) it is winter and it is very very cold so i use that excuse not to go out :( ... well i will start writing my diary tomorrow as i had fish n chips for lunch today ha ha ha :p

Hey Gizza, the other time that people fall off their diets is winter ;-)) ...So, tell me, how cold is cold in New Zealand? Winter in my part of Canada can go as low as -20 C, but in some parts of Canada it can get to -50C ....

Next time you have fish and chips, have only 1/3 of the chips and fill up with salad .... and as always, keep lots of carb free sweet treats on hand for those moments when you simply HAVE to have something sweet. Atkins makes some awesome ones - Endulge, and they come in all sorts of varieties. There is also a brand called CarbLite that also has chocolate bars which are no sugar, no carbs - and they taste really good.

Look forward to hearing your diary again

Cheers

Weezy ...
