So did the Carmen strip tease today as my new thing. I think I got more of a work out LAUGHING than the actual thing haha. But if I can do it without laughing, it will probably be pretty damn good for me and my self conscious. Also went for a hour and 15 minute walk today. Brings the week exercise to 2 hours and 15 minutes. I'll so get exercise this week. However, I have been eating like a pig as we've been in the hospital fairly constantly. Got all my water in.

Did get my roommate home today, but we have to go in tomorrow morning for appointments.

Hill walking in the freezing cold rain for 4 hours is NOT my idea of fun exercise!!!!! Never again will I try that! I'm soaked, freezing and mighty annoyed about the whole thing!!!! was quite funny though, as no one was expecting the rain to be so bad and it was just awful...ah well i suppose a few ounces may have been used up to try and keep warm!

Water was def easy today cos of all the uphill struggling. I'm pretty pleased as i managed to lose 2lbs this week (altho i cant eat anything so should prob have lost more!) I really want to lose another 4 (or more!!!) before the end of the challenge.

Hope everyone is doing well - the pole dancing sounded like a good laugh!

Weightwise - it has been a week of two halves for me.

On Sunday I got a new low which I was very pleased about. I have been retaining water ever since due to TOM (this happens to me pretty much every month and is less than amusing for me).

My weight is now sitting at nearly 5 pounds heavier than I was on Sunday. I havent had the heart to change my ticker from my Sunday low weight - but will be recording a horrible gain for the challenge. Such is life! I know that it is mainly water (although I have had the odd moment of food weakness with cereal in the shock of watching my weight sky-rocket - so there may be a few ounces of fat there too).

Exercisewise and Waterwise - the week has been business as usual for me.
 
Did free weights for 35 minutes today.. so that's a new thing. 45 minute walk. Final exercise this week was 3 hours and 35 minutes. No weight change. Both challenges complete!
 
I hope everyone remembers to update their stats before MIDNIGHT EST tonight. As it states in the thread, anyone who doesn't update their stats is automatically eliminated. :willy_nilly:
 
OK, I'm going to leave it up to our Fearless Leader to determine whether this counts for the exercise challenge. Kidlet had a back-to-school picnic this evening which has sucked up all my time. We spent at least an hour running around on the playground, playing basketball, swinging, etc. Not horribly strenuous, which is why I'm iffy on counting it. But it was certainly out-of-the-ordinary physical activity for me.
 
Ok I did a Yoga session and skipping...two things I havent done in a very long time and two things that aren't normally a part of my regular routine.

Water was a go!
 
I completely forgot to post about my exercises that I tried.

First I tried Core Abs yoga on thursday for about 40mins. It was really odd and super intense. I loooved every minute of it. This will definitely be a dvd I keep handy when I'm stressed out!

Then today (friday) I tried aquafit at the gym! Looooved it. I'm super sore from it already! I was in the pool for about an hour! I've become a fish!

I also completed the water challenge everyday! wooohooo!!
 
Lori, I have a question...In the past we have always had the option of weighting in on Fri or Sat...well I weight in on Sat so how is that gonna work if now the challenege is check in on Fri...I weight in on Sat because I work graveyard tues through Fri, so once I get a good night sleep my weight is most accurate

Mind you I guess if it is individual I can just add the points to my total ?

Im excited we finally let weight count and I havent been loosing lately, LOL!

Cinderelly - at first, I was gonna be a stickler for the weigh-in date. But, since it has always been Saturday throughout the entire contest, I will still give you guys the option of weighing in on Saturday. But, by doing this, the results for the week will not be posted until Sunday.

I will still try posting the Bonus Challenge for the week on Saturday just so we can all prepare for it.

allyphoe - its up to you if you'd like to count that towards your exercise. Only you know how physically active you were. If you feel like it was physical activity that caused you to burn calories..then include it in your number. :)

Ok, my boyfriend and I are in the process of searching for houses to buy today, so I'm off to look at some and then will be back on later this evening to post the Bonus Challenge for this coming week.

And of course I have TOM and I am up 3 lbs *GRUMBLE*!!!LOL...Thanx Lori...I didnt wqant to be a pain in the ass but my weight flectuates so much with me working the graveyards and hardly gettin any sleep.
 
It is now 8.30am on Sunday morning and I havent seen the new Bonus Challenge posted anywhere.

That's because it wasn't posted on Saturday! :)

I didn't get back on yesterday at all. We spent the entire day looking at houses and then I got home and was very sick to my stomach. I ended up going to bed at 7:30 pm.

Since everyone is used to weighing in on Saturdays, we will run the challenge Mon - Sat with Sunday being the Freebie day. It makes no sense for me to switch it up out of nowhere.

So, I'm off to tally the results and post the bonus. Just remember, the bonus won't need to start until tomorrow. :)

BONUS CHALLENGE FOR WEEK 2 OF THE FINALS

Okay - we all dream of having a flat stomach with a great six pack! There's no miracle way to get it - and doing situps alone won't get ya there.

So, this week's challenge is to incorporate situps into your workout. You must pick three days this week to do a minimum of 75 situps (3 sets of 25 every other day would work)

BUT - you still need cardio for 30 min per day.

So, in order to get any points for this bonus challenge, you must complete the minimum of 180 min for the exercise. You will get your normal points for the exercise if completed. (10)

If you complete 75 situps/day for 3 days this week, you will earn an extra 40 Bonus points!!!

Lori - sorry to hear that you were sick. I hope that you are feeling a lot better now.

I was just getting a little twitchy in case you were going to ban us from eating something that I was about to eat for breakfast.

Does that mean Saturday exercise counts as part of the previous week now, or is still part of the following week?
