From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

So I have been eating like a pig and working like a dog. I'll get a pic up of my wood hauler tonight. Work is hectic too, but good. The runstreak hits the 2 year mark in 11 days.

Sounds like a nice little farm; hope the farmer gets to rest a bit soon.

2 years? Man that is freaking awesome. Good job on staying positive. Negative is not good for anyone!

Hey Q! Glad to see you around and also to see that you haven't put much of the weight back on. And also neat to see the run streak still alive.

I've found waist measurements to really be difficult to get consistent reads on. Mostly I'm going by how my pants fit. My 32s don't fit real well right now, but I'm fixing that in short order.

Thanks LaMa!
Thanks Cowboy!
Hi there Vee! I'll have to get back on the scale probably, but I have to calm down on the evening eating before anything good happens.

Still keeping up the 2 mile minimum for November and I'm restarting a streak for no food after dinner.

No food after dinner is a biggie Q. I'm sure that would make a big difference to all of us. I feel so much better after only one night of not eating anything at all after dinner. I might try to do this in December I think.

It's always nice to hear opinions. Especially when they agree with you.:D

So I've made it 2 days with no food after dinner. Tonight and this weekend will be challenging.

Cate, we can do December together!

My weekend eating schedule is always variable so the no eating after dinner doesn't always make sense. I will be content with no eating after dinner on weekdays as when I am busy on the weekend I don't eat too much anyway.

Today is the 23 day in a row for a 2 mile minimum and day 726 of the runstreak. I haven't had any back pain medicine since Saturday morning despite lots of firewood cutting and tree felling and hauling Saturday and Sunday.

I haven't weighed or measured my belly. I'm focused and doing better each day. Trying to get into some jeans by the end of the month. I've been running harder too. It's easier to listen to your body when you aren't muting it with pills. I didn't have a option so I'm glad I had them, but hopefully I can let them collect dust now.

Last night was iffy, but I made it through without any medication and it feels much better this morning. Getting off the medicine gives me trouble sleeping, but last night was much better. Better rest will help with the back.

Thanks Lama!

Glad to hear you're getting by without the pain meds. My Dad is getting his hip replaced in about 10 days, and he's been eating pain meds like M&Ms for about 6 years now. I'm hoping he can ween himself off them once he recovers from the surgery.

I'm sort of in the "pants measure my waist better than a tape measure" mode right now. Also, though no one talks about this, waist size can fluctuate day to day as much as weight does, for the same reason: water.

Good work and good luck with the back pain.

Q if I may call you that, I was directed to your diary by LaMaria, I am now on day 6 running, about 2 miles per day and have set 2 miles per day as an advent challenge. any tips?

Hey man, sorry to take so long to reply. It may be to late, but take it easy and don't give up!

Everything went in YE OLDE SHITTER! I've got an appointment with a neurologist later in the month and I'll be having back surgery. I've gained more weight and just barely kept my run streak going. I cried the whole ride home Friday and staggered around for a mile of running. It's been a bit easier since, but just. Friday I probably shouldn't have run and now I'm not sure why I'm bothering. I can't run hard or long enough to counter the overeating. The stress of pain and impending surgery has my appetite soaring and I'm in short supply of give a shits.

The best positivity I can manage is that I will hopefully get better eventually. That doesn't mean much today. I'll try to update when I have something to report or when I'm being less bitchy.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Maybe gently walking your mile once or twice a day could help you keep moving while not hurting yourself? Was the streak about losing weight in the first place? Or about showing yourself you're committed to taking care of yourself? Needing back surgery sucks majorly but you've been trying to get rid of them conservatively for a long time now. Right now focusing on your eating to prepare your body for surgery is probably your best bet.

I'm sorry to hear all that Q. Big hugs back to you xoxo
