From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Thanks LaMa!

2.1 slow miles for day 697.

It's really good seeing you back on track Q. What is your minimum run for your streak? 1 mile? 2.1 slow miles still sounds very good to me. You must be getting a lot fitter.

Thanks Cate and yes, 1 mile is the minimum.

Thanks Chef! I'll try to top it.

261.2 this morning. I have to remind myself that I do what needs to be done and my body and the scale will behave erratically in the short-term, but predictably in the long-term.

261.4 this morning. I am disappointed in my weight these last three days, but I haven't let it derail me at all. I could only manage the minimum mile last night.

I carved a mallet out of the base of the elm tree that I cut down Sunday that evening. It's a rough club type of mallet for striking metal tools like my froe. Now it should be easier to split out billets for carving and riven lumber from rounds of wood.

Hello lovely! Long time no speak - how's things? Seems like you're doing good as always, always impressed with your ability to post on here so regularly - I fall off the wagon so often! Also, awesome spoon. You crafty craftster.

:D Reading your diary is good for my vocabulary! After such a huge, consistent drop a bit of stalling sounds normal. The way you roll it won't be for long.

You may level out a bit - your body needs a rest to get used to the new weight. I know I had several plateaus through my journey. Some lasted a week and one lasted a month. Key is to just continue eating healthy and exercising. Frustrating? Hell yes! But worth it in the end.

HELL YES! SUNFLOWER IS BACK! Thanks, but just a few posts further back you'd have seen that I was gone for months and gaining, but we are both on that wagon now!

You're so nice LaMa! I thought about saying "Archaic isn't necessarily learned.", but then I realized I was doing it again.:D

Thanks Cowboy! That's what I need to hear is the voice of reason.

So I succumbed to the psychology of the scale and ate too much last night. To make up for it I ran 7.00 miles for day 700 of the runstreak after a grueling day afield. 11.4 miles total with a heavy pack a Sandy hills for much of the walking portion.

I'm on a massive runner's high! I love you WLF friends!

7 miles for day 700? Wow! That's pretty awesome. You're not getting me with archaic and borrowed words, btw, as they tend to be common to quite a few languages.

Ohh, I'll have a delve back. Glad it's not just me that fell off for a bit (a long time!). You guys always draw me back though - I love it here. I love those runners high too - I high-fived a complete stranger a few weeks ago after doing a run. They were deeply distressed (but still high-fived me; good old British manners) but I felt soooo good. Best feeling in the world. Can't wait to get back to the gym next week. Do you run to music?

Well wow indeed Q! 7 miles for day 700 of your absolutely amazing streak!
We love you too!

Thanks LaMa! I would never endeavor to cozen a polyglot such as yourself.

I don't run to music Hana, but I have in the past.

Thank you Cate!

Not much to report. 260.2 this morning and I ran a single slow mile last night.

Thanks Cowboy!

Alright I Got One LaMa! Quercus Victo!

We've taken an extra day off. My back feels pretty good at the moment and so we are going camping and I won't be weighing in or eating too well. I'll get right back to it when I return. Toodles!

We had fun over the long weekend. We test drove some new recipes for Thanksgiving and so we didn't eat well through Monday. I ran 2.12 miles and ate great Tuesday and ran 2.12 miles last night after a long day in the woods, but I overate in the evening. I'm slammed at work right now and it's stressing me out. I'll try my best tonight and We've decided to try 2 mile minimums for all of November.
